INTRODUCTION
Hello! This is a casting call for a complete fandub of the original Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3 OVA, both from 1993 and 2000.
This is casting for all of the Stardust Crusaders, supporting characters, and the villains they fight along the way to Egypt. If you don't get cast as any of them, fear not! If I like what I hear you'll be brought in as a supporting role or an extra for when we need one!
I'm not looking for impressions so please don't audition with one! I am looking for a voice that matches the character and fits them like a glove. You can take elements from the VIZ casts but I do not want full-on impressions.
All of the characters speak English, however some characters require certain accents. I specify on the role so no need to worry about not knowing which!
Why is this a thing?
I adore the Jojo's OVAs, I think they have some beautiful animation, shot compositions and overall visual style. The performances from both the original Japanese and the English dub are not that great but I still love them nonetheless. This is less to replace either of those and more so to have a modern version with subjectively better direction than the originals. My aim is to breathe new life into this 90s OVA and try and stay true to the original direction from Hirohiko Araki.
What will the finished fandub consist of?
-Completely new voice-cast and dub
-Sound effects from the David Pro anime
-Soundtrack using the OVA OST & David Pro OST
Requirements:
-Good quality mic (if you have a booth or a makeshift booth, even better)
-The ability to act (go figure)
-No whisper yelling (can't really effectively whisper stand cries now can you?)
-Have fun!

Stoic, rude, and snarky. Jotaro Kujo is the grandson of Joseph Joestar but carries little of his Grandfather's charismatic traits. Jotaro isn't all bad, he does have an incredible sense of justice and cares for his friends, but rarely shows that side of himself.
His stand is Star Platinum.
Improvise some stand cries of various lengths at the end:
ORA ORA ORA
(Confident, Joking) "Good grief, You're such a joke I can't even think of anything to say to you."
(Angry, Annoyed) "Impossible? We did a lot of impossible things on this journey. Iām tired of hearing that things are impossible or useless. Those words mean nothing to us."
(Determined, Angry) "No one ever said Jotaro Kujo was a nice guy. I beat the crap out of more people than I have to, some are still in the hospital. There's plenty of teachers who got on my bad side and never came back to class. And, hey I make it a policy not to pay the check if I didn't like the meal. But even a guy like me can spot evil when he sees it... Evil means to use the weak for your own gain and then stomp on them when it's over! And that's what you've done! To a woman and a doctor, even! And your Stand gets to hide from the victims, the law, the consequences! That's why I'll be your judge!"
Confident, Charismatic, and Caring. Joseph Joestar continues the legacy of the Hamon-trained Joestars but now aided by the use of Stands. He is often cocky and arrogant but he usually succeeds no matter what, that or he runs away.
His stand is Hermit Purple.
(Confident, Cocky) "Opponents always get confident when they feel like they're winning, when in fact, they've already lost. That's the Joseph Joestar way. I may be getting on in my years, but I've still got it!"
(Feigning Fear & Worry) "Jotaro... this is the third time I've been in a plane crash! Am I cursed?"
(Sadly nostalgic but still happy) "Jotaro... this trip was a lot of fun, wasn't it? We had quite an adventure together... right Jotaro? The last 50 days... were a lot of fun..."
Quiet, kind, and intelligent. Noriaki Kakyoin lead a pretty lonely life until he met Jotaro and the other Stardust Crusaders, and due to that he cares for them deeply.
His stand is Hierophant Green.
(Confident) "Yes, you may drive my Hierophant Green mad... mad from joy, that is. For you see my Stand loves nothing more... than to rip things to shreds!"
(Determined) "My name is Noriaki Kakyoin! To avenge my friend Avdol and so that the sister of my friend Polnareff may be at peace... you will pay with your life!"
(Sad Nostalgia) "No regrets. About anything that has happened on this journey or will happen from this point on. I will regret nothing."
Wise, controlled, but not one to shy away from a joke. Muhammad Avdol is a close friend of Joseph's who joins in their journey to stop DIO and save Holly. He later shares a great friendship with Polnareff, almost becoming the best of friends.
His stand is Magician's Red.
(Serious, but with a hint of cockiness) "Mr. Joestar, I may have to get a little rough. Sometimes suffering is the only way to make a fool see reason."
(Jokingly) "Care to come out now, JoJo? Was is not Aesop who said 'cold wind adds clothes but heat makes you scream"
(Confident) "Mr. Polnareff, I hope you don't think the flames of Magician's Red only burn upward or with the wind. I am not bound by the laws of nature. I can control fire as I wish."
Determined, joking but not without his serious moments. Polnareff starts off as a villain to the Crusaders but shows he is out for noble revenge, so he joins their quest. Later do they find he is quite the jokester.
His stand is Silver Chariot.

HORA HORA HORA
(Quiet, showing respect) "I'll just die like this. As recognition of your strength. Committing suicide at this point would be dishonorable."
(Determined and a slight hint of rage) "My name is Jean Pierre Polnareff! For my sister's honor and so that my friend Avdol can rest in peace...I'm going to send you straight into the depths of despair, J. Geil!!"
[Addressing Judgement] (Wishful and joyful) "Fine, then make me... a comic artist! It's been my childhood dream! I wanna be bigger than Disney! Not just any starving artist! I want to build Polnareff Land!"
Kind and supportive. Holy Kujo is the mother of Jotaro Kujo and daughter of Joseph Joestar. She puts up with Jotaro's rebellious nature as she knows deep down, he truly does care for those around him.
(Worried) "His grandfather also has strange powers... what's happening to my son?"
[Addressing Joseph] (Reminiscent, then worried) "He used to be such a good boy... and now I don't know what's happened to him!"
(Pleading, slightly scared) "Jotaro.. I'm sure your grandfather can help you."
Old, Evil, and out for revenge. Enya is a servant of DIO but soon is out for revenge after Polnareff kills her son.
She has two forms in the OVA: A young disguise form and her true old form.
Her stand is Justice.
[Young Form, looking through her tarot cards] (Quiet, slight bit of menace) "The Hermit Card. Wisdom, Wariness, Esotericism. The Magician Card. The Questioner, Diplomacy... And... The key is, this one. The Star Card. Hope..."
[Old Form] (Cocky) "Can you punch fog with your fists?! Can you cut fog with your sword?! Can you shoot fog with your gun?! It's all useless! Useless!! Kyakyakekekeke!!"
[Old Form] (Admiring) "Lord DIO! One day, you will rule over time! Each day your power will grow! You must believe you can move while time is standing still! It must be second nature, the way a person inhales and exhales! It must be easy to do, like snapping a pencil! What's important is to believe you can do it! You must have the willpower to do the impossible! Only then... will you truly control your Stand! You are the chosen ruler of the world! It only makes sense that you will rule over time as well!"
Despicable and vile. J. Geil is the man who murdered Polnareff's sister and he is the son of Enya the Hag.
His stand is Hanged Man.
[Addressing Polnareff] (Cocky) "Kukukukukuku... you really did waste your life trying to hunt me down... but it looks like you won't succeed! What a pathetic life you have lived! Meanwhile, I J.Geil will have even more girls to love and worship me, just like your sister! By the way, her cries were like music to my ears!"
(Cocky, confident) "Your sister was an absolute darling, Polnareff... once you see her again, be sure to ask how exactly I killed her!"
(Menacing) "Hahaha, What will you do now? You wouldn't poke this cute little child's eyes out with your sword, would you?"
The archetypal cowboy gunslinger, but a massive coward. A servant of DIO but a turncoat near the end. He acts high and mighty but isn't much without a partner to back him up.
His stand is The Emperor.
(Confident) "The gun is mightier than the sword."
(Romantic but clearly feigned) "I am running away because I love you. And I will love you... forever!"
(Annoyed) "Listen here, I am the nicest man in the world. I have girlfriends everywhere. I might lie to a woman, but I would never hit them! It doesn't matter how ugly they are, because I respect women!!"
Quiet and honorable. A blind servant of DIO who stops the Crusaders in their tracks on their trip to Cairo.
His stand is Geb.
[Thinking to himself] (Confident) "Star Platinum is said to be the most powerful Stand. Once I kill Jotaro, Master DIO is going to be happy... For DIO, I will defeat Jotaro using my whole mind and soul."
(Contemplative) "There doesn't seem to be any need for this walking stick anymore. But when I return... It'll still be useful."
(Melancholy with a hint of nostalgia) "Jotaro, I'm not afraid of dying.... because of my Stand, I've never feared death. I could beat anyone. I could commit any crime I wanted and the police wouldn't even find out... This is the first time that I hope from the bottom of my heart that I won't be killed by that man. He's strong, deep, great and beautiful... in this world, he was the first to acknowledge my value. I had always been waiting for him... I do not fear death but I don't want to be killed by that man... evil needs a savior as well."
A con-man in gentleman's clothes. Daniel serves as one of the last hurdles for the Crusaders to conquer but proves to be the most dangerous yet. His nack for cheating and love for gambling makes him a worthy foe.
His stand is Osiris.
[Introducing himself] "My name is D'Arby. D'-A-R-B-Y the "D" has an apostrophe."
(Quiet confidence) "Cheating? Didn't you know? If you can't detect when someone is cheating, you can't detect failure. I think gambling is the same as social relations... it's a game of fakes and cheats. The one who cries first is the loser."
(Angry) "My name is D'Arby! Not barbie! Not obi! D'Arby! Don't make that mistake again!"
Cold and evil. Ice is a devoted servant of DIO, even going so far as to chop off his own head for the vampire. He is relentless and serves only one purpose, kill the Crusaders.
(Quiet, respectful) "Lord DIO, your wish will come true. I will kill them all... "
[Addressing Polnareff] (Quiet confidence) "Avdol... has been reduced to nothingness. Beyond my jaws an endless void, a dark dimension which harbors thing which even I do not comprehend. Your ally is dead, but fret not as you will soon join him. You are arrogant enough to think you can defeat Lord DIO, therefore you must be punished! One by one, each of you shall fall in line, as I scatter your fragments into the deepest recesses of the void."
(Determined) "No... I will not die... nor do I have time to waste on your meagers attacks. I will dispose of you here! I will consume Iggy, then kill Joestar and the others! Only then will I allow myself to die!"
The main villain of the adventure. The immortal vampire who ruined the Joestar family line and plans to conquer the world. He uses his charm to fool his enemies and then shows his true ruthlessness when he kills them.
His stand is The World.

MUDA MUDA MUDA
[Trying to create another servant] (Quiet, charming) "Every single person tries to survive because they desire peace of mind. The struggle to acquire fame, power over others, and money is all towards this end. Marriage and friendship is also for this purpose. To serve others, to fight for war and peace, all of these are attempts to sustain peace of mind. The search for peace of mind is the ultimate goal of all human beings. So... what's wrong with serving me? By serving me, you can easily obtain peace of mind."
(Determined, slightly annoyed) "The Joestar Family. Fools? Perhaps... but those "pieces of garbage" never fail to interfere with my life. If there is one thing that I believe in, it is Fate! To put it simply, I do not fear the Joestars. However, I dare not underestimate their bloodline! I must remove their presence from my life completely!"
(Confident, nearing joyful) "In the beginning, I could only stop time long enough to blink. But, as my neck wound healed, I was able to stop time for two, then three seconds. Now, I can stop time as long as five seconds. Five seconds is strange, considering that time is stopped, but it feels like it is about five seconds. Heh. Soon, I'll be able to stop time for one minute, ten minutes, even an hour someday! I can't wait! I'll gradually be able to stop time longer and longer!"
