Interstellar
Project Overview
A powerful corporation, Comet Corp, has caused many notable events throughout the galaxy in the name of "profit". This story follows the mission of two members of R.E.A., a rebel organization, in their attempt to reverse the damage caused by Comet Corp.
As of now, this project is unpaid. However, the intention is that when this audio drama is aired with ads, revenue will be produced. When that occurs, characters will be asked to renew for a second season, and will be paid for their future work (and possibly their past work on season 1 depending on how much revenue is produced). Any characters who die in the first season will be paid as they will likely not be asked to renew for a second season.

Alex is a drop out medical student. He lacks confidence in himself and often finds himself being a coward. However, while he sometimes falls short, he is extremely loyal to his Captain and gains confidence with himself when acting under her leadership. Note: Alex is a coward character but don't voice him as if he was weak, keep his strength in his voice even in the face of fear

Captain, at this point, the mission's over. We shouldn't endanger our lives when it's clear if we stay any longer, we'll die.
Not interest. Hope. (beat) The chief has no clue how to run R.E.A. We've been out here for months, and we haven't even reached the halfway point. I honestly don't know what we're doing here anymore!
I don't want to die, I really don't want to die, but I don't want you to die for my sake even more. (beat) I'm terrified, so I know you must be too. I can't leave you alone feeling like that. (beat) If I'm any consolation in your final hours, it would be an honor.
Ash is a driven young adult with an intense desire to help others. He and his girlfriend Anabel have each others backs in a very healthy relationship. Ash needs to have strong vocals, he will be required to do pained screaming a some point, please show that you can record these screams without peaks. Ash also needs to be able to be extremely angry but from a place of hurt.

Elias is a hitman for hire. He was raised to be a killing machine and gets a kick out of others misfortunes. He's a drug addict who moves only on instinct and is extremely erratic. This character needs a strong accent, I'm open to any but prefer a British twang. He speaks in threatening yet childlike ways, like he's always finding the fun in a fucked up situation. I want the danger he has to be palpable in his voice.

Hi everybody. I know we're in a bit of a panic right now, but I just wanted to inform you, that while you were all stepping where you shit, I've managed to get control over the ship. That being said, I have some new information I'd like you to be aware of. First off, call me an exterminator, because I’m going to get rid of your little pest problem. The maggot who runs this catastrophe is soon to be dead and rotting in the unlimited recesses of space.

Sophia is a woman with a grudge. She has a goal to accomplish and she will do it no matter the cost. She is threatening in a sweet kind of way. She acts as if she knows best and is above it all.

His wife, barely having been able to spend any time with her husband, stays alone, waiting for his return. (beat) She's left unattended.
How did she feel when you left her, right after you got back? (beat) How many people had to suffer because of what you told us?
Do you remember now!! Do you remember how you disfigured me!
Remy is a conniving, young, rebel. Like a fox, he is sly and will do any underhanded thing to get what he wants. He has no sense of loyalty, but can feign trustworthiness very easily.

You know it is. Even though I stayed behind to wipe the chief's sorry ass, he doesn't see my leadership potential. If he retires, he has time to decide who to take over. This way is better because I'll be the only person capable of leading when he falls.
Don't you think we deserve a competent leader? Someone who can secure funding, and allocate appropriate amounts to each sector of the organization?
That's the problem though, he's old. Keeping him around is all sentimentality. The longer he's in power here, the more time comet has to evolve, and grow new.
Maria is an earnest, sweet person. Driven by past trauma, she loves her boyfriend Remy almost unconditionally. Not to be played as weak, she is soft spoken but still knows what she wants. Slightly a pushover.

Brian is grumpy all the time. He's always skeptical of others and will take the shit out of anyone. Play him angry, but not unreasonably so. Just enough that you know he's a grump but also a human being. He needs to come across both angry and sympathetic in a short span of time.

Felix is the smartest, most narcissistic man you will ever meet. He seemingly knows everything about everything, and he wants people to know it. He's loyal to a fault, and cares about those who prove themselves to him (Penelope, Ash, and eventually Anabel). At the same time, he's heavily reliant on substances to keep himself afloat. The burden of his knowledge often leads him to try and forget. Play him like the Riddler from Gotham mixed with Bojack Horseman.

You're overlooking the obvious problem here. Professional hitmen have years of experience getting out of tough positions and eliminating threats. Which by the way, we are to him now, being his captors and all.

Anabel is Ash's terminally ill girlfriend. She has a positive attitude and is knowledgeable for her age. She speaks with an understanding of others, but also a calm go with the flow attitude. She doesn't take shit, but she knows others have flaws and doesn't hold their actions against them. She cares about everyone, but Ash has her priority.

Holly is a country girl with something to hide. She speaks with compassion but is a strong personality who will always do what has to be done.

Penelope is an anxious woman who constantly puts Ash over everyone else including herself. She's a strong leader, but falters from time to time. Her strong backbone is Felix, he keeps her afloat when things get too overwhelming. All in all, she's a woman hurt by the world, trying to make it better for someone she cares about.

Juniper is a country man who just wants to help others. He runs an operation and works with his hands, he's humble and hard working. All he's ever wanted was to live a peaceful life with his wife after his daughter tragically died.

A leader of an organization who keeps making the same mistakes. He's a kind man, however, he isn't fit to lead because he doesn't take risks. He demands respect, but doesn't have any real power over his organization.

Good morning everyone, thank you for meeting me at this early hour. I have urgent business to discuss with you all. (beat) Last night, I was informed of a plan to undermine my authority. I had been encouraged to hide information from you all so that I could be exposed for lying afterward. That information being the unfortunate event that befell our mission to rescue the Earth. (beat) In truth... the mission had failed.
I have always been upfront with the people of my organization, this is why I come to you now to speak the truth. The weight of misinformation was too great a burden to bare.
*clears throat* Thank you Remy. Ever since I started this organization, I've sought funding from any person willing to help. I have not had much luck. Yet, recently, I have come across a generous noble willing to supply us with a modicum of funding. When the money comes in, we will be putting it to good use by improving any shortcomings we have in our different departments. This will not happen again, I can promise that.
Dexter is a minor character this season, but if a second season comes around he will become a supporting role. Dexter speaks with a purpose, poised, and commanding. He spent years in the military, he is the epitome of masculinity. However, in his past, he was an artist. Shunned by his father for his femininity, he was forced to fight in the intergalactic war and become someone he never wanted to be.

You shall focus all your attention on learning and infiltrating higher-end rebel forces. You struggled handling a low echelon group such as R.E.A., you know that they grow increasingly more difficult to infiltrate and monitor the larger and more capable they are.

Sophia. (beat) I've been informed that your hunt has begun to reach its precipice. The Captain is a very formidable opponent, are you sure it is within your abilities to silence her?
Marc is a simp. Plain and simple. He cares about people so deeply because they were taken away from him before. He will sacrifice himself for the one he loves even if she doesn't love him back. He likes to think he has control of most situations but he often doesn't, leading him to act impulsively as a result.

Then I'll tell it to you. (beat) I don't know anything about my parents, they either died or abandoned me when I was little. I was raised in a comet orphanage, one where they groom you to be one of their drones. It was fine, a pretty good childhood in my opinion, nothing of any particular note. They shipped me from Earth to Neptune before the tragedy and told me I was one of the lucky ones. My friends from the orphanage, no, my family, most of them were killed. And I was lucky enough to live with that guilt.
