Project Overview
Hello, I’m beginning my search for a cast of voice actors for my first-person, narrative-based video game “After and Before”. I will need a range of different voice types for this project, both male and female, old and young, and potentially a few different accent types.
The game:
You play as David, a man who gets trapped shifting through time inside the apartment he just moved into. In each time jump you will witness the lives of former (and future) occupants of this apartment over the course of a 100+ year span. You will experience and explore the lives of dozens of characters in dozens of eras with rich and interesting stories anchored to the time and place they live in - all while trying to figure out a way to get back home to your own timeline.
The game is still pretty early in development, but here are a few screen shots of the progress so far to give you an idea of the look and feel of a couple of the different timeline subplots:
As this game's story takes place over many years with many different groups of characters I will be developing only one or two “timelines” / story arcs at a time (I have to write, 3d model, code and animate each character/story element so it takes time to do each one). I’m opening this casting call up to everyone who is interested in this project, but at the present moment I only need about 3 or 4 voice actors to fill the current scenes i’m working on (but will definitely need more in the future)
Current voice types I need:
-One male with a British or Scottish accent (Hopefully a natural accent, but happy to accept a well faked accent)
-Two males with american accent
-One female with american accent
(again if you don’t fit any of the above, please still reach out. There will be many other roles to fill in the near future)
A few extra notes:
- These roles are meant to be played seriously, while there will be a good amount of comedy at times, the overall feel will be like a serious drama.
- Only apply if you are 18 years old or over please.
- Please have a solid mic and the ability to deliver high quality audio.
- As this is a passion project of mine with no funding, I can’t pay anything unfortunately. But I will give you full credit and a free copy of the game once it’s released.
- At times this game may cover adult and/or darker themes, so if you are uncomfortable with this please keep that in mind.
