This is an English fan-cover and semi-animated music video of the song “Hoodstar+” from Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle!
For those unfamiliar, Hypnosis Mic (or Hypmic for short) is a multimedia franchise about pretty anime boys in rap trios having magic rap battles. Read more about it here.
“Hoodstar+” is a group song that features all 18 main characters, all of which have short solos. The song is about 8 minutes long.
You will be rapping and singing!
As this is an English-language fandub, we will require at least one example of your vocals when speaking/singing in English. Give us examples of your pacing. Previous rap experience is not required, but it is an advantage!

This is a free fan-project on a volunteer basis. No one is getting paid for participating.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 OR OLDER. If you are found to be younger than 18, you will be removed from the project and replaced.
Access to Discord will be required for all participants. Main communication with participants will be through Discord.
Final product (the music video) will be uploaded publicly on BlackLight Sugar's social media: Youtube, the Facebook page, and TikTok
An audio file will be posted for free download on BlackLight Sugar’s itch.io page.
The video, sprite art, and short clips will be continually in use for promotion of the project and of BLS Press.
