[HSR] Animated Fan Short For A Youtube Channel
Project Overview
We need voice actors for a very short, kind of comedic animation for a currently un-monetized YouTube channel. It features both original characters, and characters from the game Honkai Star Rail. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HONKAI STAR RAIL. I (the animator) don't play it or know it very well myself. However, if you are familiar you are encouraged to audition, especially if you're auditioning for one of the canon characters featured in this short.
The Youtube channel follows a tabletop fan campaign based on the game Honkai Star Rail, but with the players controlling original protagonists. Linked below is a recap of the first portion. The animations are intended to give the audience something to enjoy between large videos recapping the tabletop campaign.
If you are playing as either of the two main player OCs, you will likely be called on again to voice them in future projects, as we plan to make multiple animations if this proves successful, and possibly feature their voices in recap videos.
Voice Actor
One of the two lead player characters. The main character of this first short.

DESCRIPTION:
A rough, intimidating woman who used to be muscle for a revenue collector (the IPC) before she decided to turn over a new leaf. At a towering 6'7", she is a not-so-gentle giant. She may be a hero now, but she doesn't come off as one - speaking in either a low monotone, ice cold resting voice that is hard to discern from a mortal threat, or hotheaded, angry barks when in combat. She is a formidable martial artist, free-runner, and weapons master, and yet seems to have little time for her opponents' flashy displays, taking a straightforward and brutal approach to most situations, despite being surrounded by anime-like fantasy fighters.
ACCENT:
I've always imagined her with an American accent, but I am open to other accents if they feel natural.
LINES:
For the short currently planned, Archon has under 100 words. The exact number may fluctuate with edits to the script.
ON AVAILABILITY:
Archon is a major character in this project. Though this listing is only for one short, taking this on is a bit of a commitment, as it is expected that you be open to voicing her in future shorts.

(Unintentionally intimidating someone in her 'normal' voice, towering over them.) "You. Are you scared right now?"
(Tired of someone's attitude.) "This fucking guy..."
(Being reminded of when she nearly shot an ally. Less cold, a bit more chatty.) "Okay, we had *just* finished running for our lives when we got knocked out. I still had all that adrenaline when I woke up! Can't we just laugh it off already?"

DESCRIPTION:
Zindell was born to serve - or designed, rather. A bioengineered thrall for a cult to immortality, loyalty and self-sacrifice are coded into his genetics, whether they want it or not. Having escaped from his creators, Zindell grapples between maintaining the freedom he's always craved versus his calling to protect others, all while the virus he was created with begins to manifest in his own mind. They have a relatively androgynous voice, with a tone that runs on a sliding scale of zen to delirium. His idealism and troubled demeanor should come into the spotlight during moments of tension. When they know they are on the right path, he is as collected as he is zealous, but begins to spiral when faced with dilemmas where there are no good options. They are the Pim to Archon's Charlie.
ACCENT:
I don't view Zindell with a particularly strong accent in any direction, but I'd be interested to experiment with any that shine through once in awhile, particularly any from Europe or Southeast Asia.
LINES:
Zindell has only a couple lines in this particular short.

Zindell is a major character in this project. Though this listing is only for one short, taking this on is a bit of a commitment, as it is expected that you be open to voicing them in future shorts.

DESCRIPTION:
Welt is a bookish, well-spoken man. He's wise and maybe a bit nerdy, but still able to project a commanding presence during combat.
ACCENT:
Welt has an American accent, and will be speaking English in the short, but if you feel you can match his voice well but have a different accent, I will still consider your audition.
LINES:
For the short currently planned, Welt only has 3 lines, totaling to around 10 words. This may change slightly with edits to the script.
ON AVAILABILITY:
Though a minor character in this project, Welt may make a return in future work. It would be preferable if you were open to reprising your role so we don't have to find someone new.

DESCRIPTION:
Natasha is a doctor and member of a secret rebel network. She is calm, but smart. In this particular short, she shows her preparedness for combat, but also restraint when dealing with Archon.
ACCENT:
Natasha has an American accent, and will be speaking English in the short, but if you feel you can match her voice well but have a different accent, I will still consider your audition.
LINES:
For the currently planned short, Natasha speaks less than 50 words. This may change if the script is edited, but it will likely not increase or decrease by much.
ON AVAILABILITY:
It is unlikely Natasha will reappear in this project, but if she does, I hope you will be open to reprising your role.
