House of X (X-men) Comic Dub - Round 2 Casting
Project Overview
Hi Everyone!
This project will be a comic dub of the House of X/Dawn of X series. I would like to continue this series throughout the Dawn of X run so I ask that if you audition, you are interested in a long term project! These comic dubs will be uploaded to youtube.
Due to the need of many characters throughout the series, I am only casting for the first issue of the Powers of X. Description of this issue below:
Several ambassadors arrive at the Jerusalem Habitat, responding to a telepathic message sent by Charles Xavier to recognize a new sovereign nation of Mutants, called Krakoa. The ambassadors are met by the newly appointed Krakoan ambassador Magneto.
Near the sun, spacecraft approach the station known as "The Forge," home base of a human group called Orchis. Orchis is the self-proclaimed "last hope" for humanity, made up of various members of human organizations such as A.I.M., S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, Alpha Flight, and others, allied to prevent the extinction of homo sapiens to mutants.
Meanwhile, a team made up of Mystique, Sabretooth, and Toad infiltrate the base of Damage Control searching for information in the databases. While they get what they searched for, Sabertooth maims several guards in the chaos and is eventually captured by the Fantastic Four.

Little is known about the origins of the shapeshifting mutant terrorist known as Mystique, the mutant name adopted by Raven Darkhölme which itself is an assumed name. As a consulting detective, her services were enlisted by Irene Adler, a mutant clairvoyant who had written confusing passages concerning the future of mutantkind that needed to be deciphered. In their quest, Darkhölme became 'Mystique' while Adler became 'Destiny'. The more they attempted to control the future the more they failed, a struggle that has made an angry Mystique embrace extremist solutions to achieve her objectives. Alongside her wife Destiny, Mystique reformed the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to assassinate anti-mutant politician Senator Robert Kelly, an attack that was prevented by the X-Men.
As a master deceiver and infiltrator, Mystique made her way inside mutant-related organizations, such as becoming the leader of Freedom Force and joining X-Factor, the Marauders, and even the X-Men. During Mystique's trajectory, the death of Destiny had the most tragic impact in her life. Seen as a treacherous ally, Mystique has proven her relevance for the fate of mutantkind with her actions aimed at shaping its future by forging her foster daughter Rogue into a significant mutant super-heroine, eliminating Mister Sinister, and building a mutant-ruled criminal empire on the island of Madripoor.
As Professor Xavier established a mutant nation-state on the island of Krakoa, Mystique has been granted a seat on the Krakoan government, the Quiet Council, in an attempt to give all factions of mutantkind some level of representation. However, once again Destiny's predictions would influence Mystique's actions, as she had knowledge about the rise of Krakoa, something that incited Mystique to work against Xavier's flawed plans.
Mystique can psionically alter the formation of her biological cells at will. As a result, she can cause herself to look and sound like an exact duplicate of any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being of any sex, wearing virtually any kind of clothing. Her control is so exact that she can precisely duplicate another person's retina pattern in her own eyes, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns on her own hands and skin, smell to overlap the original being, and vocal cords to match voices to the point of corresponding voice prints.

This has gone south, Toad...and gone south quickly. How much longer?
Creed! We're leaving! Quit fucking around and let's go!
Is helping your fellow mutant not reward enough for the great Charles Xavier?
Little is known about the origins of Mortimer Toynbee. As a deformed baby of English descent, he was abandoned by his parents so early in his childhood that he could not remember them. At some point, he became an experiment for the Black Womb Project run by Amanda Mueller in Alamogordo. After categorizing Toynbee as a mutant reject due to his flawed genetic template, Mueller wished to see how his natural development would progress. Eventually, Toynbee was placed in an orphanage where the other children continually tormented him, regarding him as a freak due to his ugliness, his unusual physique, and his leaping ability. Toynbee was so traumatized by his loneliness and the continual abuse he received that it affected his learning abilities. The teachers and administrators in the orphanage therefore regarded Toynbee as mentally challenged, even though, in actuality, he had a rather gifted intelligence. So desperate did Toynbee become for affection that he developed a pathetically subservient personality and unquestioningly obeyed anyone he thought sincerely cared about him.
As a young adult, Toynbee was a victim of a lynching in Manchester, when he was discovered and saved by the master of magnetism Magneto. Judging Toynbee to be strong, Magneto recruited him as one of the first members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, with aims of carrying out a mutant supremacy agenda. Magneto gave Toynbee the alias of the Toad after his abilities, appearance, and personality. Although being given shelter and purpose, Toad was treated by Magneto as a jester who was expected to follow orders unquestioningly. Pathetically devoted to Magneto, the Toad blinded himself to Magneto's continual verbal and physical abuse
When Professor Xavier and Magneto founded a mutant exclusive island nation on Krakoa, the Toad became one of its citizens. Alongside Mystique and Sabretooth, he was sent by Xavier on a mission to steal information about the Orchis Forge from Damage Control. Due to the Toad's exceptional hacking abilities, they were successful and escaped, only leaving Sabretooth behind due to the intervention of the Fantastic Four.
Toad's primary power is the ability to leap to heights and distances far greater than that of an ordinary human. He possesses a degree of superhuman strength, particularly in his back and legs, which grants him his superior leaping abilities.

You think...you think it's easy searching the combined databases of not one but two of the smartest people in the world?
Well it's not, Mystique. I have limitations. And it's gonna take as long as - okay, we can go.
Should we run? I think we should run.
When Victor Creed's mutation first manifested, he accidentally killed his brother over a piece of pie. His father confined him to a cellar and would systematically pull out Victor's "devil teeth" in an attempt to purge the boy of his "demons". Victor was chained like an animal in the family cellar for years until one day he chewed off his own hand in order to break free, subsequently murdering his father. Although he would later claim to have killed his mother as well, he actually spared her, and made sure she lived a comfortable life, until she was diagnosed with cancer and confined to a hospital, where she was killed by a member of the Red Right Hand. Freed from his parents, Victor was unleashed upon society.
Sabretooth is a vicious killer who delights in inflicting pain and misery. Like his rival Wolverine, Sabretooth has an animalistic side, but whereas Wolverine fights to control himself and his murderous rage, Sabretooth has no qualms in giving in to his base instincts. He gives himself over wholeheartedly to the beast within and indulges in every vile or murderous impulse that strikes him. While Sabretooth has been part of teams such as Team X and the Marauders in the past, he is wholly self-serving and will readily betray anyone to save his own skin or achieve his own goals.
Enhanced Mutant Physiology: Sabretooth is a mutant who had been given artificial enhancements on multiple occasions by various backers. The O*N*E classified him as a Severe Threat.

Would you look at that, Ben. A bunch of no good thieves taking stuff that doesn't belong to them. Now what do we do with no good thieves?
Nice of you to show up, Sue. How'd you know where to cut them off?

I do. I also know that Sabretooth broke any number of laws in the last hour, including no small number of injuries to guards and a high probability that some of those injuries are significant, probably fatal.
Are you really offering amnesty for that?
Jean Pierre Kol was a private sector C.E.O. of a pharmaceutical company and a member of the U.N. Security Council who was planted as part of the ambassador entourage invited to Xavier's Jerusalem Habitat. He along with the other member's were greeted by the Stepford Cuckoos and Magneto who took over the task of giving the ambassadors a tour through the various biomes of Krakoa.
As they came to the end of the tour, Sophie read the minds of the delegates and conveyed to Magneto that they were not ambassadors at all with the exception of Kol and were sent there to spy on the mutants to determine the validity of their new found nation-state and its relationship to humanity.
Kol was on-board with Xavier's proposal and considered it a win-win if it allowed the people of France access to the variety of drugs produced by the Flowers of Krakoa.

Excuse me, but... When are we actually going to go to Krakoa?

You're a smart man, Doctor Richards. I know you know what amnesty means.
What would life be without little surprises? So...
My family has spent our entire lives being hunted and hated. The world has told me that I was less when I knew I was more. Did you honestly think we were going to sit around forever and just take it?
