Project Overview

ATTENTION FILM FANS: I have written a screenplay for a short horror film that I will be filming soon! It will be uploaded to Youtube after I have submitted it to sufficient film festivals.

Project: Short Horror Film with Religious Themes, estimated run time is 6 minutes. The story is about a young man who collapses due to poor health while walking alone in nature and starts hearing a voice claiming to be God while immobile and helpless. This voice will be comprised of a male voice and a female voice saying the same lines layered on top of each other.

Looking for: 2 voice actors (1 male, 1 female) with neutral (almost genderless) voices, any accent is accepted as long as it sounds neutral

Tone: neutral to start, becoming irritated, then outright aggressive

Practicals: Good voice recording quality is a must as it will be dubbed in. Unfortunately this role will be unpaid.

I’ve got a very particular sound in my head for this role, quite similar to HAL9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey - the voice/effect I’m looking for sounds like this:

My aim is to get a male voice actor and a female voice actor and layer their lines like that to give the eerie genderless voice of the character :)

Tone: neutral to start, becoming irritated, then outright aggressive. The character sounds inhuman and detached at first, but increasingly gets angry in a way similar to a parent with a misbehaving child:
