WELCOME TO THE HEART’S MEDICINE: DOCTOR’S OATH AUDITIONS!
Thank you for being interested in this project! We will be doing the first 20 levels of the game (Hearts Medicine: Doctor's Oath), and pitching it to the game company (GameHouse Stories). It is imperative for all to understand that this is NON-PAID and that I am not monetizing this video by placing it on YouTube or any other social media site. This movie will be sent directly to the game company; they are already aware of this, and are excitedly waiting to hear us all!
Due to copyright laws, we will have to wait for the company’s approval of the finished product. Here is what could happen: this could be placed on their website/Facebook, this could give us the opportunity of being paid, this could give us all new clients to works with. OR? It could mean absolutely nothing. Pitches are a risk - you may win some, and you may lose some. I will not lie to anyone about this, and I will be true to my words.
I will keep all actors consistently updated in a Discord channel - so make sure you have one!

Function: Head of Pediatrics
Personality: Good with kids, bad with adults. Tough, but has a soft side.
History: Connor and Allison had been dating during the time that Daniel was absent, but eventually she chose Daniel over Connor. Had a short fling with Aubrey.
NOTES: Connor is your average sports guy - with a puppy attached! He’s not only had a fling with Aubrey, but with Jenny… and with Allison… and with- well, you get the idea.
Voice Direction: Deep voice, but a friendly attitude. Think of a sweet guy, whose also a quarterback, whose also nerdy, but who also digs beer and hockey games.
I hate inner-city hospitals. There’s no room to take Princess out for a proper walk.
Is that… *giggle* this is going to be sweet.
Function: Head of the Lab
Personality: hard worker, will do anything for her friends
History: Ruth is best friends with Allison, and often knows how to cheer her up after a long shift. To keep her from losing her house when her elderly mom needed to go to a care home, the girls have moved in with Ruth. She has a guinea pig named Oliver and has a thing for men in overalls.
NOTES: Ruth is the motherly figure to all of her friends - but is quick to give attitude if need be.
Voice Direction: Deep voice, motherly.
*saddened* You should’ve been graduating by now…
I agree! I’m supposed to lead the lab with Ulrika, but she isn’t interested in anything I suggest. Plus, she hates Oliver.
Honey, you need to calm down. That presentation is happening, whether you have results or not.
Function: Clinic Doctor
Personality: Complimentary, not easily phased
History: Sophia lost her husband Joe in an ambulance crash. After that she was switched over from the ER to the ICU. Now she’s picking up irregular shifts at the Queensburrow clinic. She also strives to stay strong.
NOTES: She tends to block out the incident that happened last year. Clipped sentences.
Voice Direction: She's tired, but content. Hispanic accent preferred, but not necessary!
I hate this elevator. It’s so slow.
(DIRECTION: Towards the end, she is talking to her baby)
I’m not really a single mom, this little guy has four moms, don’t you, sweetie?
Function: Boardmember
Personality: ambitious and very well organized, firm believer in women’s rights.
History: She doesn’t trust Daniel and has made that very clear to him when he first came to Queensburrow. She used to be a doctor.
NOTE: Queen Bee of the Board and very much uninterested in people’s sob stories.
Voice Direction: Harsh, matter-of-fact, and with a deep tone.
Little Creek wasn’t an academic hospital, and this one is. You need to complete four more rotations and take your final exams before the end of the semester. Failing to do so means no medical degree.
Go ahead, get mad. It’ll only make it that much easier for me to fire you.
Function: Head of Queensburrow Clinic
Personality: Firm and efficient, prefers interns who pay attention to detail and follow orders.
History: Used to be an army doctor. Nicknamed ‘The Drill Inspector’.
NOTE: Not very fond of Allison, and has a very short temper. Sob stories are annoying to him.
Voice Direction: Harsh - think of a drill Sergeant.
Miss Heart, if you are serious about becoming a doctor, I suggest you learn how to take some responsibility.
And I wanted to be a concert pianist but you don’t see me crying about that. Man up, Miss Heart, and look forward, not back.
This presentation will be VITAL to determine whether you pass this rotation or not. And let me repeat the word VITAL, specifically for Miss Heart.
Function: Head of the Morgue
Personality: Upbeat, loves to prank, and a charmer. Does not like being alone.
History: You can’t work at Queenburrow and NOT know Leon. He usually passes on boring paperwork to colleagues.
NOTES: He thinks he’s funny, but he’s not. He also thinks he’s a cool guy, and yea… he’s not.
Voice Direction: Annoying; any pitch can work.
(DIRECTION: He's trying to be funny.. except nobody is really laughing)
Is this the Little Creek quarantine area, or something? Do I need protective clothing to enter?

Function: Medical Intern
Personality: Dedicated student, optimistic and happy.
History: Like Allison, Jenny is an intern at Little Creek. Although she’s good at studying, she does not perform well under pressure, and has a history of panicking during emergencies. She is unsure of a what career path to take after graduating.
NOTES: She’s an airhead but still capable of saving your life.. Maybe.

Voice Direction: Airhead, but sweet.
Well, if he wants to sing some karaoke with me, he’ll have to hurry. *giggle*
Function: Medical Intern
Personality: Masks his own insecurity by being mean to others. Has the skills, but not yet the personality to become a doctor.
History: Has been doing all of his internships at Queensburrow Bridge Hospital. He always follows Aubrey around.
NOTES: He’s constantly giggling and making fun of Allison with Aubrey.

DIRECTIONS: Please give struggling noises, as if you’re holding down a patient who is currently having a seizure.
(DIRECTIONS: In a mocking manner)
Ooooh that hurt!
Function: Head of the Lab
Personality: Takes being well-organized one step too far. Is very good in raising one eyebrow.
History: Has enjoyed being the sole ruler of the Lab for years, and struggles with Ruth. Says she doesn’t like animals, but has been caught cuddling Oliver.
NOTES: Snobbish and regal. Enjoys giving Ruth a hard time.

(DIRECTION: Displeased from being accidentally shoved.)

Function: Medical Intern
Personality: Narcissist, competitive.
History: Due to an administrative error, Mason was assigned to surgery instead of Allison, and has been snug about it ever since. His father, Victor, disappeared during the Little Creek fire.
NOTE: Snobbish and filthy rich. He believes he knows it all, and usually sides more with Queensburrow interns than Little Creek’ers.
Voice Direction: snobbish. medium pitch.
*disgust* I’m not touching him, he smells horrible.
As if you really knew what was wrong with him.
Function: Homeless
Personality: Gruff and gritty. Smells.
NOTES: He’s not a good person, and is usually annoyed.
Voice Direction: grimey, medium-low pitch.
Anybody going to help me or what? This is a hospital, right?
(DIRECTION: Condescending and leering. A doctor just asked him for drugs, and he's laughing about it.)
Say no more. Doc needs a fix. Hospital full of drugs not enough for you? Or are they on to you?
Function: Head of Psychiatry
Personality: Bubbly personality, quirky.
NOTES: A bit awkward, but cares very much for all of her friends and patients.
Voice Direction: nerdy and awkward, high-medium pitch.
Daniel, good to bump into you here. You haven’t been for a psych consult in a while, and I was wondering how you were doing.
Function: Head of Prenatal Care & Alternative Medicine
Personality: Friendly and calm, but also clumsy.
NOTES: A person who is calm and collected at all times. Seems to have a thing for Sophia.
Voice Direction: calm speech; Asian accent preferred, but not necessary!
Think of a happy place or a happy situation. Picture yourself there. This’ll release neurochemicals in your brain that will help you get more relaxed and happy.
Function: Head Diagnostician
Personality: Workaholic, professional, but an odd-ball.
NOTES: Is frustrated with his ‘fake’ title at Queensburrow.
Voice Direction: medium-low pitch.
(DIRECTION: Empathetic, and apologizing.)
Things were just… different. Some of the stuff that happened, that you did… I would’ve counted that towards your exams. If we’d still been at Little Creek.
Function: Janitor
Personality: Highly intelligent, prankster.
NOTES: Not much of a talker.

Function: Patient’s Wife
Personality: Calm, but worried. Fears for her husband’s life.
NOTES: She tries to be calm throughout the time Grant is in the hospital, but her patience and emotions begins to spiral.
Voice Direction: medium-low; Hispanic or Caribbean accent preferred, but not necessary!
Believe me, I’ve seen a lot of weird things since I’ve been with Grant.
*hurt, worried* Just tell me, Allison.
(DIRECTION: Reminiscing on the past)
We were just talking this morning about the holiday we took in Hawaii. Grant learned to surf there, and it’s been his passion ever since. I couldn't surf for the life of me, but I loved watching him.
Function: Head of Center for Disease Control
Personality: Respectful, authoritative.
NOTES: Worried about Grant’s current state, specifically because he can’t figure out what’s wrong with him.
Voice Direction: medium-low pitch
I’m Bob Henson, head of Center for Disease Control. Sorry to keep you all waiting. We’ve assessed that your patient is carrying a contagious virus. The good news for you all, is that it’s a slow developing contagion. Therefore, you are all clear. If we’d come in a day later, you’d all been infected.
