*RECAST FOR LAURENS AND SEABURY* Hamilton (Fan Cast Recording)
Project Overview
Hamilton (Fan Cast Recording)
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! I'm N-Vision and I'm starting a casting call for Hamilton (Fan Cast Recording), a project for my YouTube channel that will consist of a group of Hamilfans re-recording the Hamilton soundtrack in full. Hamilton is my favorite musical and there's no better way for me to express my passion for it than to lead a group of Hamilfans, who are also very passionate about the musical, and make the best fan recording possible!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Anyone chosen for a role MUST be able to record vocals for their selected roles. You should only audition if you are able to make this commitment.
- Record your vocals with a decent microphone, with little to no background noise. Avoid recording vocals with any peaking or clipping. Your recordings should NOT sound distorted in any way.
- The quality of your vocal performance is important. I will be picking the best singers for each role, based on their performance in the audition.
- You need access to a computer/laptop as Audacity and Google Drive will be used to record the vocals and submit them, respectively. Discord is also required (mobile or computer/laptop, whatever your preference) as a means of communication between the cast members and myself.
- HAVE FUN! You're a passionate Hamilfan auditioning for this big Hamilton-related project. Give me your all and enjoy the recording process! 😄
FINAL NOTES
I am very excited for this project, especially with the chance of interacting and collaborating with other talented singers, who are also Hamilfans! And not to worry, your hard work and passion won't go unnoticed. I'll be crediting each and every single one of you who works on the project in the video descriptions and the final project credits! I'll also include any social media, YouTube, and/or Twitch links you want me to promote in there too. If all goes well, this will be an amazing experience at the very least and a fantastic fan cast recording at best! I look forward to hearing all your auditions and working with the selected ones on this project!

Hey, everyone! It's N-Vision here, with an important update to make. I will be recasting the roles of John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton and Samuel Seabury/Male Ensemble #3, due to the currently selected actor being unavailable. I'm also looking for people to audition for the roles of Charles Lee/Male Ensemble #4 and George Eacker/Male Ensemble #5. If you're interested in one or more of these roles, I implore you to audition for as many as you'd like! You may land more than one role if you're lucky! Please share this with your friends, family and others who you think may be interested in this! The project is set to premiere later this year so I hope you're all looking forward to it!

So Many Great Auditions!
It's only been about two days and I must say I'm very impressed by quite a few of the auditions that have been submitted thus far. I can especially see that there is some pretty good competition for the role of Eliza. You're all great singers but I can only pick one for each role....so I have a few details to share with you all. Understudies I can't possibly pick all of you for a single role but it would be a shame to not showcase all your talents. I've decided to cast understudies for all the main roles. Basically, those who win "first place" get selected for the role they auditioned for and those who are "second place" will be asked if they want to become an understudy for the role they auditioned for. As an example, you will be guaranteed a part in the ensemble, singing background vocals, should everything go perfectly but if the person playing Eliza needs to back out of the project, even for just a bit, you will take over the role. Whether that means doing the whole soundtrack as Eliza, or just a song or two because the main singer for her becomes available later on, your role as the understudy is very important and you will be a part of the project no matter if plans go perfectly or not. Audition for Multiple Roles There is a chance you might not get selected for a role you auditioned for, but don't fret! You might just get selected for another role, given that you auditioned for it as well! Ladies, this goes especially for you. You're all fantastic singers but you might benefit from auditioning for additional roles like Angelica, Peggy, or even just the female ensemble. I will select you for the role I think is best for your vocal abilities. Just keep an open mind to trying out for more than one role! I am so happy and excited that so many talented singers have already started submitting auditions and I can't to make the final decisions next month. Remember, if you know anyone else who might be interested in this, be sure to share this audition with them! The more Hamilfans auditioning, the merrier! Thanks again for all your auditions so far and I look forward to updating you again soon! 😄
Elizabeth Schuyler, sister of Angelica and Peggy Schuyler, is a kind-hearted woman that was alive during America's beginnings. She marries Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant who would play a big role in the American Revolution. She worries for Hamilton's safety during the war and wishes he would stay at home and be with his family, instead of focusing on his legacy.
Helpless, look into your eyes and the sky's the limit
I'm helpless, down for the count and I'm drownin' in 'em
I don't pretend to know
The challenges you're facing
The worlds you keep erasing and creating in your mind
But I'm not afraid
I know who I married
So long as you come home at the end of the day
That would be enoughYou published the letters she wrote you
You told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed
In clearing your name, you have ruined our lives
Do you know what Angelica said
When she read what you'd done?
She said
"You have married an Icarus
He has flown too close to the sun"You and your words, obsessed with your legacy
Your sentences border on senseless
And you are paranoid in every paragraph
How they perceive youYou, you, you...
NOTE: You will be required to record video of yourself performing the role at some point(s), either lip-synced or sung live.

I'm John Laurens in the place to be!
Two pints o' Sam Adams, but I'm workin' on three, uh!
Those redcoats don't want it with me
'Cause I will pop chick-a pop these cops till I'm free!Raise a glass to freedom
Something they can never take away
No matter what they tell youRaise a glass to the four of us
Tomorrow, there'll be more of us
Telling the story of tonightMeet the latest graduate of King's College
I probably shouldn't brag, but dag, I amaze and astonish
The scholars say I got the same virtuosity and brains as my Pop's
The ladies say my brain's not where the resemblance stopsI'm only nineteen, but my mind is older
Gotta be my own man, like my father, but bolder
I shoulder his legacy with pride
I used to hear him say that someday I wouldBlow us all away!

History is happenin' in Manhattan and we just happen to be in the greatest city in the world
In the greatest city in the world!
I know you are a man of honor
I'm so sorry to bother you at home
But I don't know where to go
And I came here all aloneMy husband's doin' me wrong
Beatin' me, cheatin' me, mistreatin' me
Suddenly he's up and gone
I don't have the means to go onNo, sir!
Please don't go, sir!I don't know about any letter!
I didn't know any better!
Please don't leave me with him
I am helplessJust give him what he wants and you can have me

If you pay, you can stay
King George III is the not-so-sane king of England during the American Revolution. He expresses undying love for the American colonies and will do whatever it takes to ensure he wins the war and regains control of them.
You say
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay
You cry
In your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by
Why so sad?
Remember, we made an arrangement when you went away
Now, you're making me mad
Remember, despite our estrangement, I'm your manYou say our love is draining, and you can't go on
You'll be the one complainin' when I am gone
And no, don't change the subject
'Cause you're my favorite subject
My sweet, submissive subject
My loyal, royal subjectJohn Adams?
I know him
That can't be
That's that little guy who spoke to me
All those years ago
What was it, eighty-five?
That poor man, they're gonna eat him alive!Oceans rise
Empires fall
Next to Washington, they all look small
All alone
Watch them run
They will tear each other into pieces
Jesus Christ, this will be fun!Da da da dat da dat da da da da-ya da
Da da da dat dat da-ya da, hahahahaha!

Good luck!
Aaron Burr is a young revolutionary fighting in the Revolutionary War. He and Alexander Hamilton, although alike in some ways, tend to butt heads over their contrasting ideals, with Hamilton not afraid to take a shot, disregarding any risks, and Burr preferring to wait for the right moment to act. If chosen, you will be a part of the ensemble, providing background vocals, unless the role of Aaron Burr becomes open, in which case you will take over the role instead.
There would have been nothin' left to do for someone less astute
He woulda been dead or destitute without a cent of restitution
Started workin', clerkin' for his late mother's landlord
Tradin' sugar cane and rum and all the things he can't afford
Scammin' for every book he can get his hands on
Plannin' for the future see him now as he stands on
The bow of a ship headed for the new land
In New York you can be a new manI am the one thing in life I can control
I am inimitable
I am an originalI'm not falling behind or running late
I'm not standing still
I am lying in waitHamilton faces an endless uphill climb
He has something to prove
He has nothing to lose
Hamilton's pace is relentless
He wastes no time
What is it like in his shoes?I...I wanna be in
The room where it happens
The room where it happens
I...I wanna be in
The room where it happens
The room where it happens
I...I wanna be in the room…
The room where it happens
I...I wanna be in the room...
Ohhhh, ohhhh
I wanna be, I wanna be
I’ve got to be, I've got to be
In that room, in that big ol’ room

You will also be a part of the ensemble if you are chosen, providing background vocals wherever required.
Dear Sir, I hope this letter finds you in good health
And in a prosperous enough position to put wealth
In the pockets of people like me
Down on their luck
You see, that was my wife who you decided toUh-oh!
You made the wrong sucker a cuckold
So time to pay the piper for the pants you unbuckled
And hey, you can keep seein' my whore wife
If the price is right
If not, I'm telling your wife

Hear ye, hear ye! My name is Samuel Seabury
And I present "Free Thoughts on the
Proceedings of the Continental Congress!"Heed not the rabble who scream revolution
They have not your interest at heartChaos and bloodshed are not a solution
Don't let them lead you astray
This congress does not speak for meThey're playing a dangerous game

For shame, for shame!

Indecisive, from crisis to crisis

Angelica Schuyler, the oldest of the Schuyler sisters, is a young woman living in America during the Revolutionary War. She is very outspoken for a woman at the time, expressing her ideals without fear. During a ball held in the winter of 1780, she meets, and gets romantic feelings for, a young revolutionary named Alexander Hamilton.
I've been reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine
Some men say that I'm intense or I'm insane
You want a revolution? I want a revelation
So listen to my declaration
"We hold these truths to be self-evident
That all men are created equal"
And when I meet Thomas Jefferson
I'ma compel him to include women in the sequel!
Work!My dearest Alexander, you must get through to Jefferson
Sit down with him and compromise
Don't stop 'til you agree
Your favourite older sister Angelica reminds you
There's someone in your corner all the way across the seaIn a letter I received from you two weeks ago
I noticed a comma in the middle of a phrase
It changed the meaning, did you intend this?
One stroke and you've consumed my waking days
It says"My dearest, Angelica"
With a comma after dearest
You've written
"My dearest, Angelica"(sing it like the final chorus in Satisfied)
To the groom
To the bride
From your sister
Who is always by your side
To your union
And the hope that you provide
May you always
Be satisfiedAnd I know
She'll be happy as his bride
And I know
He will never be satisfied
I will never be satisfied
You will be a part of the ensemble if you are chosen, providing background vocals wherever required.
