*RECAST FOR LAURENS AND SEABURY* Hamilton (Fan Cast Recording)
The Mysterious Tom H for King George III
King George III is the not-so-sane king of England during the American Revolution. He expresses undying love for the American colonies and will do whatever it takes to ensure he wins the war and regains control of them.
You say
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay
You cry
In your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by
Why so sad?
Remember, we made an arrangement when you went away
Now, you're making me mad
Remember, despite our estrangement, I'm your manYou say our love is draining, and you can't go on
You'll be the one complainin' when I am gone
And no, don't change the subject
'Cause you're my favorite subject
My sweet, submissive subject
My loyal, royal subjectJohn Adams?
I know him
That can't be
That's that little guy who spoke to me
All those years ago
What was it, eighty-five?
That poor man, they're gonna eat him alive!Oceans rise
Empires fall
Next to Washington, they all look small
All alone
Watch them run
They will tear each other into pieces
Jesus Christ, this will be fun!Da da da dat da dat da da da da-ya da
Da da da dat dat da-ya da, hahahahaha!
President John Adams
Good luck!
I enjoyed your rendition of King George III. It give me a very Joker-esque vibe and it was fun listening to it! You have a good voice but I think you need to work a bit on your belting during the high notes. They sounded a bit forced. Overall, though, you were great and you perfectly conveyed King George's insanity. It also sounded like you had a ton of fun recording it, which is also great!
Hey, thank you for replying so quickly! As I previously mentioned, I've just come out of playing the role of Kashoggi in We Will Rock You, which was a very vocally challenging role for me as it required a lot of crazy evil scream-laughing and just straight up screaming at one point. This is probably why my voice isn't fully 100%. I can also probably ask my singing teacher if she can help me hit those high, belty notes. I chose George III over the other roles, as I'm not from any Latino or Latin American background, so I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be playing a whitewashed role that was originally intended for a Latino performer. Anyway, after my voice has recovered and I've worked on the higher bits with my singing teacher, I should hopefully be able to get the song! ☺️
Of course I understand how vocally demanding that must have been. Take some time to rest up your voice before you submit a new audition. Auditions close October 7th so you have time. I know you don't want to try out for a role meant for the more Latino performers but I would be interested to see how you would do as Samuel Seabury. You sound like you have the range for it, not to mention your accent would fit it well. I would love to hear you try out for him too!
