Project Overview
GRAVEN is a horror audio drama set in Northwest USA. The world is bleak and snowed-over in the aftermath of a deadly apocalypse known as The Rise. Those left, human and animal alike, endure an unending hellish winter. We follow survivors' stories through recorded audio journals.
Content Warning: This show explores themes of religion and sexuality. Adult language throughout.

Graven takes inspiration from video games Stalker, Metro, and The Long Dark, and the novel I Am Legend.

Hello everyone!
Ollie here. We've just hit 100 submissions! Thanks so much to everyone who has auditioned for parts. Without your talent, this project would not be possible.
I'm making an update to remind you all that the submission deadline is in three days, so if you have not submitted an audition yet, please do.

I will not be making any money from this otherwise.
As a film student, I am writing/producing/directing using experience and equipment from my classes, meaning that the project's budget is coming from my own pocket.
If you absolutely need to be paid for your work no matter what, please reach out and let me know so that I can prioritize other auditions.

Adam is the main protagonist of the series. We follow his story through a series of journal entries and live recordings on his battery-powered field recorder. Adam is a headstrong loner, afraid to connect with anyone else in the world. He’s guilty because he believes it was his "sin" (queerness) that caused him to be chosen to live in the hell on earth- this belief is due to religious trauma he faced before the apocalypse.
For Adam, I am looking for:
- A voice that sounds like a 22-30 year old male, preferred accent North American, but I can be swayed.
- Gruff, on the deeper side, with a hint of vulnerability. Make him sound like he's been seeing hell every day for years.
- You must be able to yell and vocalize stress, since Adam goes through a lot of stressful situations throughout the series and will require a lot of grunting, yelling, etc.
- Ability to narrator for long periods (5-15 minutes at a time)

But now she takes this chance to live how she's always wanted to, determined and courageous.
