Project Overview

Episode Information


  • This call is for a musical episode of the supernatural roleplaying podcast Quest Friends! It is comprised of 1.5 songs in 2024 and a full musical episode in the first half of 2025.


  • The project is non-union. Actors will be compensated $100 for the November performances, with an approximate rate of $100 per song for the full musical episode.


  • Recording will be performed asynchronously and remotely.


  • Actors who are cast will be notified by mid-October. Lyrics will be provided at that time, and final recordings will be due by mid-November.


  • Depending on the role, voice actors may be asked to swear but will not be asked to use slurs.


Audition Information


  • Please send 30-60 seconds of you singing a song of your choice as whichever character you are auditioning for. You can record the provided voice line in addition, although this is optional. We're looking for VAs who fit the energy of the provided characters, even if their voices aren't the same as the OG VAs.   • if you have any demo reels, please feel free to DM me!


  • No specific mic is needed: however, we will be looking for sound with minimal echo and quality equal to or better than a AT2020 USB mic.


  • Please do NOT slate.


  • Auditions are open for any of the characters listed below; please audition to any role you are comfortable playing, as long as you fit the listed requirements! Marginalized actors, especially BIPOC and trans actors, are highly encouraged to apply.

A curmudgeonly skeleton who's more familiar with adventure than he lets on. Quique's first song will be a sad ballad but he'll sing different songs in future episodes. Vocalist must be able to speak English and Spanish. Looking for a Mexican vocalist of any gender.

A small 13-year-old Necromon trainer who tries (and fails) to act older than her age. Irene's first song will be a patter song, but she'll sing different songs in future episodes. Preference will be given to Kanienʼkehá꞉ka (Mohawk) vocalists, but all First Nations vocalists are encouraged to audition.
