Project Overview
Hello there and welcome to my second Genshin Impact Fandub Casting Call!
What is Genshin Impact? - Article taken from Wikipedia
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. The game features an open-world environment and action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching, and uses gacha game monetization for players to obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources.
Though the game may already have English voices, this is merely a passion project made just for fun.
About this project
1. What is the project? - This project will be a 5 - 10 minute video showcasing several of the character's attacks from the game. Characters from the game will be open for auditions, and our voices will be used in the video instead of the original voice actors' voices.
2. How long will the project be? - Hopefully it will only last a month. I have all the footage gathered. So all I need is the roles cast and lines sent in! So I guess it'll depend on the speed of the cast!
3. Mic Quality - Though an expensive microphone is not required, it would be more ideal if you had as best as quality as you can manage. Please try not to record in an echoy space, or have too much background noise. Other things like pops are also preferred to be kept to a minimum.
4. Acting Ability - As this project WILL require shouting, it is imperative that you display your ability to shout in your audition. Line 3 for all characters is short specifically to demonstrate your ability to shout. Please note that you do not have to scream the place down, but as long as you can show that you can comfortably shout, that would be great! And obviously, no whispering! Lines 1 and 2 need not be shouted, they are just simple audition lines so I can get a feel of your voice!
5. Cast for multiple roles? - If I think you are the right fit for more than 1 role, then yes! Audition for as many characters as you like!
6. Communication - I have a Discord group set up so please have a Discord account so you can join, and an active email address for back up.
And finally, be sure to have fun! I got into Genshin Impact at the end of last year and I considered doing this kind of project for a while. I was a little hesitant to start something new, but I am confident I can make an enjoyable end product, and hope that everyone will have an enjoyable experience!
Please note that more characters may be added over time. And some characters may be missed out. While I could easily find all the footage online, it is more fun to use one's own footage rather than someone else's.

Finally, I possibly might self cast for a role myself, but I will wait until I have cast all the roles, and I may not even need to self cast!
The casting will take place on March 10th. If the deadline needs to be extended after that, it will be extended for another week. And then we will see how we have gotten on with casting from there.

I would like Kazuha to have a soft spoken voice, but of course more aggressive for the battle lines.
Kazuha is a polite and well spoken individual. Compared to other noble Inazuman clan members, Kazuha prefers going out and travelling rather than staying put indoors, something that the seizure of his clan home let him do due to a lack of wealth and duty. He roamed Inazuma peacefully as a modest wanderer for a good portion of his life, teaching himself bladework and picking up other skills, never seeking luxury. He is instead easily pleased just by sleeping on a sun warmed rock. The time he spends outdoors makes him attuned to nature and the wind, being able to "hear" and "smell" everything around him with absolute clarity. He can sense dangers, read people and track them down in an instant no matter how well they try to conceal it. Due to this sensitivity he prefers calm weather and never stays in one place for too long, having trouble sleeping for the former and having his skills stagnate for the latter.
I like frank people, because we can freely speak our minds to one another. There is no need to hide anything that you wish to say. I hear the voices of all things in nature, and that includes yours.
This scenery is wonderful... Surely enough to convince anyone to become a wanderer.

Ayaka is a kind-hearted girl with a pleasant temperament who treats others with politeness and courtesy. She holds the people of Inazuma dear to her heart and often goes out of her way to personally assist in all kinds of matters; being a member of the Yashiro Commission, she feels that she must meet the people's needs. She is a perfectionist with an earnest personality. Her dedication often moves people, and those close to her gave her the honorary title of Shirasagi Himegimi. People in the neighborhood always talk about her with sincere admiration.
There's a pleasant breeze and glorious sunshine... So, where shall we go for a walk?
If you've got time, shall we take a walk to Komore Teahouse? To chat about the art of tea on a pleasant day like this seems like the sophisticated thing to do.

Sayu is a seemingly eternally sleep-deprived ninja who uses her skills to hide from work and responsibilities. Her height is something she's deeply unsatisfied with, believing that sleep can replenish all her energy and help her grow taller. In order to live by this principle and have as much time to nap as possible, she honed her ninjutsu to perfection.
My sword is crazy heavy, even with my ninjutsu training there's no way I could lift it without the help of my Vision. So yeah, having a Vision is a huge help for me.
Surely I should be due a growth spurt by now?

Yoimiya, like the rest of her family, is loved by the people of Inazuma City for the fireworks she creates. Like her father, Yoimiya is devoted to the family business, stating that her customers' happiness is the first priority above all else. This service has amassed a massive and loyal customer base who are willing to help her out on any problems she have.
Question time! So, what should you do after watching fireworks all day? Hehe, the answer is... to watch them again in your dreams, of course!

I would like Aloy to have a deeper pitched voice, serious and warrior-like
Aloy is curious, determined, and intent on uncovering the mysteries of her world. As a child, she was rather disobedient and got annoyed by her guardian Rost's firm devotion to tribal laws, not being able to see what was so bad about the ruins of the Old Ones. Unlike many in her tribe who shun the use of technology, Aloy sees technology as a practical and unique tool to aid her in her quest, a belief that was born when she used her Focus to save a young man from certain death. She frequently uses her Focus throughout her life to aid in hunting machines and tracking individuals. Her early use of the Focus has made Aloy more aware of a bigger picture outside of the Nora tribe, spurring her to be more curious about the Old Ones. She also became rather skeptical about tribal lore and beliefs, seeing the All-Mother and what the tribes believe to be her vestiges as what they really are: remnants of Project Zero Dawn.
If I have to share something, it'll be my bow... in the service of people who need the help.
I grew up an outcast, and it wasn't much fun. Even though I'm a stranger here, people are friendlier than the tribe that was supposed to raise me. It's... nice.

I would like Kujou Sara to have a medium pitch voice, with a strong and determined feel.
Despite being an adopted member of the Kujou Clan, she is immensely loyal to the Shogun's rule and tirelessly works to create the eternity that the Shogun desires, even if she does not live to see it herself. Those who speak to her note that she has a ruthless, yet efficient and stern attitude, fitting for her position in the Tenryou Commission. Her devotion to the Shogun's cause and her honorable conduct has gained her the respect of those under her command. She prefers doing everything herself when possible; compared to other Tenryou generals, she participates in battle alongside her men (and head-on attacks as a result) rather than remaining at the back. She despises dishonorable conduct and those who betray the Shogun's will.
The skies are clear and the sun is bright. Fine weather for a showdown.
My aspirations? I thought you already knew: To assist the Almighty Shogun in manifesting Eternity. That is what I aspire to. Hmm? Personal aspirations? It's not something I have ever thought about before...

As the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, Kokomi handles almost all of the affairs on the island herself. While she is not content with such a burden, having preferred to be a military advisor, she nonetheless takes the mantle to give her people the hope and happiness they deserve. Like Jean, Kokomi easily burns herself out completing her tasks and tries to keep it hidden from others to avoid worrying them.
The moon shines bright over the depths of the seas as the tides come and go. It seems that as I go from strength to strength, so does my state of mind flow.
Marching in the rain conceals the sound of our arrival, but is also a test of stamina...

Thoma is known by Inazumans to be a "helper" — helping everyone out and ensuring that any issues are quickly and peacefully resolved.
The son of an Inazuman father and Mondstadter mother, Thoma shares the traits seen in both nations' peoples; his father placed a great emphasis on loyalty, while being raised in Mondstadt meant that he could easily mingle with most people. He believes that people should happily enjoy a leisurely life and does not particularly care about his reputation, even if people speak ill of him.
On the lunch menu today, we have Sakura Tempura and Tricolor Dango! Here, there's some for you, some for Paimon, and I also put some aside for milady and the man of the clan himself. Ah, wait, I forgot someone... There's none for me...
I really did spend a lot recently, only 10 Mora left... Still, 10 Mora's better than no Mora!

Gorou, like all of Watatsumi Island's inhabitants, is a loyal supporter of Sangonomiya Kokomi. Kokomi trusts him to lead the resistance as its primary general, being sincere, determined and courageous. He has a strong sense of camaraderie and gets along well with all of the soldiers under his command, who in turn share the same sentiment and speak to him if any issues arise, including new recruits. Kazuha describes Gorou as a person who says what is on his mind, uninhibited by others' feelings.
General Gorou of the Watatsumi Island resistance, ready and waiting! I've long heard of your sterling reputation and I look forward to fighting our way to victory side-by-side!

Despite appearing as "mean and overbearing", Itto is a kind soul at heart, apart from trying to pick a fight with Kujou Sara at every possible opportunity. He is not particularly intelligent, but can put in the effort when asked of him. He is respected by his gang and mostly liked by Inazuma City's people, especially children, but is at odds with the Tenryou Commission despite his mostly harmless antics and pranks.
Best flavor in the world? The sweet, sweet taste of victory. And that's why I've never spent a single Mora on any of my snacks — I've won 'em all fair and square... That's right.

Originally part of an exorcist clan, Shenhe originally had a happy life as a child until her father attempted to sacrifice her to a malevolent god in order to bring back his wife. While Shenhe managed to defeat the remnants of the god herself, the incident scarred her for life, believing herself to be a "cursed" child and began growing a homicidal tendency. Despite the adepti's attempts to contain it, they have only done so by binding her soul with Red Ropes, which has also caused her to become mostly indifferent.
In this weather, I can freeze monsters in place and simply let the lightning bolts take care of the rest. A good way to not get my clothes dirty.

Miko has a mysterious demeanor around her whenever she assumes her duties as the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine. When she assumes her duties as the boss of the Yae Publishing House, she is known to be very kind and enjoys reading books and stories. She's rarely seen without a smile, and is more light-hearted than her position as the Guuji would suggest. She also believes that others' beliefs can be overly restricting and that it is too difficult to sway them. She has an enigmatic air around her, with her friends growing used to it and those she is acquainted with terrified of, although she admits she does this frequently as she enjoys watching people squirm.
The moon is simply magnificent tonight. We mustn't squander it. Come, join me for a moonlight stroll — I won't take no for an answer.
