My buddy duncanzombies was so awe-inspired by Chapters 40-41 of Fire Punch (from the creator of Chainsaw Man) that he made it his short-term goal of creating a fan-dub of the chapters. He believes it to be "one of the top human moments [the author] has done", so he wants to do the chapters justice. As such, he will be compensating the roles on a $2 per-line (or in this case, per word-bubble) rate according to the Indie Rate Guide (https://voiceactingclub.com/rates).
After counting the two characters' (Agni & Togata) bubbles, it comes out to a total of 182 lines for both of them across the two chapters; 74 for Agni ($148), 108 for Togata ($216). Any retakes requested by him will be an additional $2 per retook line right to your bank account. If this does not work for you, then please do not audition and thank you very much for your time.
I am merely creating the project on his behalf. Once cast, all communication and payment discussions will go directly through him. You will be conversing through Discord and will be provided it once assigned to the role.

He wants this to be the best it can possibly be, therefore please ensure that you have an audio setup that doesn't involve some cheapo Walmart mic and can handle all types of strain or lack thereof. If your audio is of bad quality, no matter how good the audition is, it will not be chosen. He's not looking for you to have like a Newmann or something insane, I don't even have that (yet :3). Just a good XLR Condenser mic. Something phantom powered, perhaps. Something that isn't a headphone mic, you know? Also, if you got a demo, feel free to include that with your audition.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide the sources to the chapters themselves, so do your best! I'm not too familiar with them myself, so ultimately it will be him choosing who is cast. Of course, through my account.
As a warning, this is a FAN-DUB PROJECT and WILL NOT be viable for an official credit, and it is not advised to use this on any demo reels you produce. Of course, you have permission to do so anyway, you do you, just a word of caution from a dude who didn't know better.
You may also include some improv in your takes, but do NOT be like ME and go OVERBOARD, as in the actual project, you will need to adhere to the lines word for word.

One month later and it's done. Over 200 auditions and I am blown away by the amount of amazing talent that my buddy and I have had the pleasure of going through. Thank you to each and every person who took the time out of their busy lives to audition for this silly little fan dub. He'll be choosing here shortly. Well everyone, it's been quite the epic run. A month later, almost 200 people have poured their passion into these auditions, it'll be really hard to find just two. Thank each and every one of you, despite getting the roles or not, for auditioning for this project. My buddy and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of talent on display here, from names I haven't seen before, just proving to me that CCC is a place where everyone can showcase our skills and grow our brands.
If you have not yet submitted, you have one day left. The project will close on the 30th, but the roles will be chosen probably in the following day or two.
Lastly, if you would like personalized feedback about your audition, feel free to message me! I can't promise I'll be available to respond immediately, but I'll do my best. As stated in the description, my buddy will be the one picking, so I won't be able to tell you exactly why he liked one audition over another (also that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth). This would simply be for you to hear what another dude has to say, lol. Now I am by no means promising to give SUPER EXPERT INDUSTRY VETERAN INSIDER ADVICE or anything 'cause I ain't that (yet). I just think it's helpful to hear what other people have to say about your auditions. Positive or not. If you're brand new and looking for somewhere to start, or even if you're not, I would also be more than happy to try and help point you in the right direction in my realm of limited capabilities. Agni (and like I said in the project description I know not the full context of this manga lol) is a dude who is cursed to ALWAYS be on fire (not in the good way lol), and suffers constant agony because of it. Talking with Togata (a man in a woman's body) is one of the few times when he is able to forget about the pain, albeit briefly.
In these chapters, Agni is trying to understand Togata and convince them to see out his journey with him and for them to finish their movie they're working on (I don't know man, I swear it makes sense). Though he is, for lack of a better term, very "hot-headed" in his pleading here. He views Togata as an "older sister", but doesn't want to come out and admit that unless he has to. He also admits in these chapters that he is "useless" without Togata, so try to capture the desperation in his pleading voice, and at the same time his feelings of inferiority.
(Togata, on the brink of tears out of frustration, chucks snowballs at him and shouts "BRAT! BRAT! BRAT! BRAT!") Of course I'm a brat compared to you! It's because I'm a brat that I can't do anything on my own!
(Togata presses Agni on what he really thought when he found out they were really a guy) Okay... only for an instant though. I just... I dunno I thought "what if". That was it!
(Finally can put into words what he's been wanting this entire time) Because if I had an older sister... I think I'd want her to be like you! You have so many stories I still haven't heard, it's exciting! The times we spend talking are the only times I can forget about the pain!
Togata is a man trapped in a woman's body, and this really messes with them psychologically. They want to be a man more than anything, but it is impossible, and they know that. These two chapters are really where these feelings are finally exploding to the surface. Agni claims to "understand", and Togata has had enough of him "pretending to care". They're trying to leave him in this scene, when they've been travelling together for a while now. Togata does not believe Agni when he says stuff like "I wanna get to know you more" and "I wanna understand you", and claims to have no desire in even helping him understand. Basically, the surface-level progression of emotion for Togata in these chapters, is frustration/anger -> defeat -> not really acceptance, but more content, all wrapped up in a cute little confused self-loathing bow.
*Note: this role requires a lot of emotion on behalf of the VA. I did not want to include all the screaming and curses in this audition, but there is a very decent amount of it. Please take care of your voice and do not over-exert yourself. Also ensure that your audio equipment can handle it.
(Togata & Agni are yelling at each other, Agni, is desperately trying to understand what Togata's feeling, though they don't believe that and is pushed past their breaking point) I'm a man on the inside, but my body is that of a female! Even if I explain it there's no way you could understand this... this thing!!
(Wiping the vomit from their mouth, tear-ridden face) I can't live up to anyone's expectations. After all... you hate me like this... don't you?
(Agni confesses that he's always seen them as an older sister, but then says "Would you rather be older brother?") ...I hate the fact that you'd even consider that... You know, you really are a stupid brat. *beat* Haa... (Sits down, content) Let's go with older sister.
