What is this project for?
This is a fan dub of the Fire Emblem Awakening Drama CD series!
For those who do not know, Fire Emblem Awakening is the thirteenth game in the Fire Emblem JRPG series. It follows the story of Chrom, the prince of the Halidom of Ylisse and the leader of the militia group known as the Shepherds. He encounters a mysterious person who seems to have lost his memories of his entire life, except for his name: Robin. With this new partnership, Robin begins a new life within the Shepherds, meeting new people along the way and fighting alongside Chrom against the forces that stand in their way.
Nintendo and Intelligent Systems released a collection of CDs that provided additional stories to the already plot heavy gave. The collection consists of four volumes:
We'll be focusing on Volumes 2 and 3 for this audition.
Requirements:
This is a project that I'm doing for fun, and I hope that you'll have fun recording for these lines as well! However, I want to use the base rules that should be standard.
Regarding Payment:
As stated before, this project is for fun and I want everyone to have a good time. However, I will treat this project seriously as this is a passion project of mine and I will do my utmost to make this project a worthwhile time and to make sure that you don't feel ripped off.
Role Significance:
For the roles, there are two categories:
*Do take note that some roles already have been casted to offsite actors. This casting call is for the remaining characters only.
A few final notes:
1.) Although each character in the actual game has a unique voice, it is encouraged to not force yourself to make your voice exactly like the original English Voice Actors or their Japanese seiyuus. Do your best to fit the CHARACTER, not the voice, is what I'm trying to say.
EDIT: The accents that are listed with each character are mainly a suggestion. Like I said previously, do your best to fit the CHARACTER, not the voice.
2.) The script is mainly formatted like this:

A member of the Shepherds and a well-trained cavalier. Although he can be scatterbrained, he has a big heart and is kind to everyone around him. One of the few members with common sense, he is able to assess situations accordingly. Likes to eat.

[troubled]: Sorry about this, but... You guys will continue to suffer as long as you remain standing. I hope this second death can offer you more peace than the first...
[flustered]: Aah! I’m sorry! That’s not what I meant! W-we’re actually travelling with another person, but it looks like she caught an endemic disease, and she’s been delirious with a fever for three days. Do you know any way to cure her?

The former duke of Rosanne, a fallen country located in the continent of Valm. He can come off as a buffoon and be a coward at times, he does show off his noble side. He cares for his peers and is able to see the good in others. Troubled by the loss of his country.

[surprised, pompous]: What is this boost of excellence I sense within my noble self? Even I am amazed!
[troubled]: It pains me so that your grisly fate has already been decided... But it is not too late to spare others the same fate or worse. I only hope you would not begrudge me that one sustaining wish.
[confident]: You should be fine. Even if we took her station to account, you seem much less suspicious with a woman by your side.
[amused]: Either way, you are superbly qualified, Stahl.
Original VA: Bryce Papenbrook
A young and skilled dark mage from Plegia with an eerie cheerful expression. His enthusiasm towards bloodshed and war while having fits of laughter at the side. In actuality, his smile is a coping mechanism as he has trouble expressing his emotions properly. Views Plegian General Mustafa as a parental figure.

[excited]: Wow! My blood's pumping so hard today, I think my thumbs might explode!
[amazed, excited]: Wow, just look at all this lava! It's like a river--no, a LAKE of blood! If I toss you in, which part of you do you think will turn to mush first?...Aww, no pouty faces! I'll make sure you're dead before you splash down!
[happily explaining]: The platoon from earlier wasn’t the only one that came out here. There are a WHOLE bunch more! They’ve spotted your allies, and soon they’ll kill them! Ahaha! How fun!

Daughter of the pegasus knight, Cordelia. A snarky woman who is rude to others. However, she has a tendency to mean the opposite of what she says. When she shows her true self, she becomes honest and genuine. Has an inferiority complex when compared to her mother to the point where she uses a sword instead of a lance.

[determined, jealous]: I can fight like my mother. I'll PROVE I'm every bit as brave as her.
[energized]: I must have slept well or something. My skin feels so supple. And my hair? Perfect!
[soft tone, comforting]: I don’t mean to push my opinion on you like last time. But if you can, I want you to be there, too. …What do you think?

Original VA: Christopher Corey Smith
Son of the taguel warrior, Panne. The last of the taguel, Yarne is cowardly, timid, and full of worry as he tries to stay alive. Despite all of this, he is an exceptional fighter, especially when backed into a corner, in order to protect himself. He carries the burden of being the last taguel in the world and hates the word “extinction”
- TAGUEL (TOH-goo-ell): A race of beast-people that are able to shapeshift into beasts. Yarne and her mother, Panne, descended from a genealogy of rabbit shape-shifters. Yarne is a half-taguel.

[total panic]: Agh! I've been stung by a bee! The last seconds of my life have begun! Nooo!
[nervous]: Is one of you a taguel? I sense a presence not unlike my mother's... B-but no. That's not possible. I suppose it's just a relief to see someone beat extinction for a change.
[nervous]: Oh… I, uh… just… wanted time to think, too…? Actually, the truth is… I’m not sure if I want to go over to a place where there are more people, or if I should stay where I have a better chance of making it through… and, um… you know I’m scared…

The son of the studious mage, Miriel. A cold and callous individual who inherited his mother's incredible academic prowess. He tends to find practical applications for his studies. He often checks the well-beings of others, and wants to help others in any way possible. He wonders if his advice is actually helpful, though, as he believes that it’s his ego.

[curious]: So strange, to experience a world where hope has not been snuffed out.
[concerned]: I will not lie. I find you riveting. They never found my mother's body after she died, you know? Could she have ended up like you? ...Gods forbid she be among you.
[irritated, raising voice over time]: What’s the matter? Does no one intend to apologize? More than this world’s existence, more than your allies’ intentions, do you value your trivial stances so?!

Original VA: Michelle Ruff
Daughter of the dark mage, Tharja. Due to her being a guinea pig for her mother’s experiments, Noire is fearful and pessimistic, being intimidated almost immediately. She is also anemic, becoming fatigued very easily. However, her personality flips when equipping her talisman. She now becomes brash and aggressive and doesn’t hesitate to yell about what’s on her mind.

[scared]: Why is this room empty? Are there spies? Traps?
[aggressive, personality shift]: ...WELL BRING THEM ON!
[concerned]: Just look at this place... It's like Mother's dream home. "So dark and sinister! What a marvelous palace to weave a horrific curse!" If you poor things want to avoid more suffering, I'd stay as far away from her...”
[crying, heartbroken] This is awful… if we scatter apart under this tension, what’s going to become of us? Aren’t we here because we’ve always worked together until now? But now… we’d break apart over this?

Daughter of the manakete, Nowi. Unlike her mother, Nah tries to act mature for her age and is able to control her emotions. She is proud of having manakete heritage. Despite her keeping her emotions in check, she can have moments of childishness since she is just that- a child- but in manakete years.
- MANAKETE (MAN-a-keet): A race of people of the dragon tribe who have sealed their true dragon form with the use of a dragonstone. Nah is a half-manakete.

[calm]: It's so relaxing here—the perfect place to rest one's body and mind.
[somber]: You've endured so much... And yet this isn't the fate you'd hoped for. It's okay. You don't need to speak. I know what you want to say... Allow me to put a quick end to your suffering. Your torment ends here.
[terrified, grief]: Oh gods… is it… is that really Ylisse (Ill- lease)? I don’t believe it! I CAN'T believe it... because… there’s nothing… there’s nothing left at ALL!!
Original VA: Minae Noji
Daughter of the pegasus knight, Sumia. She has a love of stories of heroics to the point where she wants to become a hero herself. She has a strong sense of justice though it can be misguided, but she truly wants to do the right thing. Just like her mother, she can become extremely clumsy and has a special bond with her pegasus, inherited from her mother.

[heroic, confident]: Look upon my might, ye wicked, and despair!
[dramatic]: You know what happens to monsters who ruin other people's property? I happen — that's what! Those onions were like FAMILY to the farmers! *Sniff* It just brings t-tears to my eyes. Oh, you're gonna pay!
[troubled, near crying]: Y’know… I wanted their praise. After saving the world, and coming back as a true hero, I want Mother and Father to tell me, “You did great… You really gave it your all out there…”, and pat my head…
An old woman who lives within a mountain village in Plegia. Seems standoffish towards the Shepherds, but has a compassionate heart.

[serious, slow]: If her fever came on after that storm, it really is an endemic disease specific to this area. There are trees around here that release toxins when it gets very wet.
[warning]: Aye. It is special because it grows only there. That ravine… The way down is so complicated. It cannot even be called a path, and its steep cliffs deny people passage. Many travellers like yourselves have gone there, and there is no guarantee that you will ever return.
[cocky]: You talk big, but even the four of you don’t stand a chance against this many!
[cocky]: You just come strolling out here when your minions are in trouble… You really should’ve just stayed in hiding.
[confused, can't believe it]: Are they out of their minds?! What can they do with just four people?!
[not caring, aggressive]: Tch! Everyone! Get them! Who cares if we kill the prince!
The script was adapted from a fan translation back in the early to mid 2010's, and I'm pretty sure that it's mainly out of date. As this project is a big one, My current subordinates may get swamped with other work, so it would be helpful if you would help with additional translations from Japanese to English.
