Film Noir Audio Game: Montana Clark's Audio Adventures Episode ONE
Project Overview
Montana Clark's Audio Adventures!
Looking for voices for a new audio based Detective game.
We're going for a film noir type of game, but there's lots of humorous references to other things.
A link to the game will be provided after completion.
RULES:
1. Please have a good microphone (No headsets or laptop mics, please. XLR mics and USB mics preferred.)
2. Know how to adjust your levels. (I shouldn't have to turn my volume ALL the way up just to hear you, nor should I blow out my ear drums listening to your audition!)
3. Don't breathe into the mic! Likewise, don't have tons of static in your audio.
4. Turn your files in on time!

Age: 20's-30's
A mysterious and beautiful woman that crashes the party. A seductress with an unknown connection to any of the other party-goers, she arrives to request Monty's aid. She seems to know quite a bit about Monty, all the while revealing very little about herself. Medium to low range voice. Her voice is sultry, just oozing with sexiness. Think of Lust from Full Metal Alchemist.
"You haven't met me, no.. but I'm definitely familiar with you. I know who you are, what you do, and what you've done. I'm actually hoping you can help me out with something..."
"Mr. Clark, I am very wealthy, and very desperate. I'm sure we can ...work something out."
[Laughing]
"Oh no, Mr. Clark... I'm not going anywhere. If you're going to make a lady wait, I'll spend my time watching you in action."
Age: Late 30's-Early 40's.
The head chef and gardener of the manor. A big, intimidating man with the brains to match his brawn. Brilliant, but cold and uninviting. Tua is a man that worships logic at the expense of his relationships with people. He only really appears to be close to Arthur, but their relationship is definitely hiding something. Deep to medium ranged voice. Tua is calculating and methodical; he's usually the smartest man in the room, and he knows it.
"Tell me Montana, Any similarities between Juliette's incident and your investigation of the Tribolski twins?"
"She was a bit like you, Montana. Brilliant...adaptable...selfish. Always telling stupid jokes and playing dumb."
"Think? I'm certain he's the reason she's dead. A grown woman doesn't just gain 10 ft. without scientific intervention. He has the unstable personality to want it to happen, and the scientific knowledge to accomplish it. I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet, to be honest.
Age: Late 50's-early 60's.
Husband of the deceased. An authoritative man of strict discipline, his word is law around here. He is not a jovial man, preferring to stick to his no-nonsense way of life. He has an immense dislike of Monty, who can't take his eyes off of Arthur's big, fluffy mustache. Medium to deep voice. Snobby, but distinguished tone.
"Are you really antagonizing me because I'm not grieving properly? Don't you think that I'm going through enough? I'm sorry if I'm not the perfect victim!"
"Intelligence is understanding that you can't always solve a problem by yourself. Smart is knowing that you shouldn't hire a paranormal investigator off the internet. But what do you expect from someone who hangs out with Devil worshipers?"
"Mr. Parker works for my wife, and he seems perfectly professional. Who Juliette chose to spend her time with was none of my concern, and who I spend my time with was none of her concern. That's the end of that."
Age: Early - Mid 20's.
Daughter of the deceased. A brilliant girl, but more interested in the occult than sciences. She values peace, striving to avoid confrontational disagreements. She's got a kind and warm personality, though she does get bad vibes when something is about to happen. High to medium range voice. She tries to be positive, though many doubt her abilities, even though she foretold a murder.
"...Hello, Mr. Clark? My name is Chloe Henderson, I got your number off of Craigslist, you said you take on.... weird cases? Cases other people wouldn't believe? It's a long story, but my mom, I think she's going to die. Tonight. Let me leave you my address....."
"They're not dark as in EVIL... They're dark as in... dark. Secret... Hidden... Shadows... They're always there, always watching."
"There's plenty I'm not telling you, but none of its relevant. Listen, I'm not going to start gossiping about my family. I can tell you he didn't do anything to hurt mom."
Age: Late 20's-early 30's.
An easily bored detective, too brilliant for his own good. He's prone to annoying the suspects he interrogates because of his sarcastic tone and insufferable references to pop culture.
Even in casual conversations, he's more concerned with figuring you out than he is being polite.Medium to deeper range. He switches from inner monologue to actual dialogue frequently.
Inner Monologue:
Not 20 minutes ago, Juliette Henderson greeted me at the front door... She seemed happy, she seemed kind, she seemed pleasant... but most importantly...she seemed ALIVE.
Inner Monologue:
I approach the beautiful lady in red. Red, the color of fire, of seduction, of blood and fear...
She's been eyeing me, following my movements. Sipping on her drink and pretending she's preoccupied.
She looks up at me with a knowing smile.
"Actually it's Transylvanian. I'm named after Dracul Montana, feared general of the Lycan rebellions."
Inner Monologue:
He didn't react. Not even a smile. Maybe it was my delivery.
