Fifth Night - A Horror Feature | Five Nights at Freddy's (Fan Film)
Project Overview
YOU MUST AGREE THAT...
- This project is experimental! We do not have clear knowledge if this would work out or not. We are doing the best of our ability to make sure it will succeed.
- Some roles require the same actor to voice more than one character because many roles have a few lines.
- The dialogue from some characters of the film will include a few profanities. It will be up to you if you are okay with it or not.
For the animatronics' roles, I'll provide voice samples, and I would like you to interpret the audition close to the samples. Here is the playlist that includes them!
We will not be recruiting animators at this moment as we will be primarily focusing on getting voice lines recorded with storyboards along that.
After the immense amount of time writing the screenplay, I would like to present our upcoming 'experimental' project to you. This project is an animated horror film based on a popular horror video game franchise 'Five Nights at Freddy's' developed by Scott Cawthon. This project is a fan-film and has no affiliation at all with the upcoming Blumhouse's 'Five Nights at Freddy's Movie.'
Fifth Night will take another approach to the game series, including new characters and storytelling.
I wanted to make a film based around 'Five Nights at Freddy's' for four years, and now that I get to know more about filmmaking, I thought this would be a good project for me to start.
STORYLINEMadison, a young, self-conscious adult, is troubled by paying her rent when the landlord threatens her with an eviction notice. With the widely-known Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria scurrying her way with a job offer of guarding the pizzeria during the night, she accepts it. But, she didn't know that the animatronics that entertains the kids during the day go on a murderous killing spree during the night.
REQUIREMENTSWe communicate via Discord. You must have a Discord account to contact you quickly for voice line recordings, news regarding the film, etc. If you do not use the software, it is still alright, as we can use e-mail to contact each other alternatively, but having or creating a Discord account will help immensely.
Use a decent microphone (an integrated smartphone microphone will still do). But no fan noises and little to no background noise!
WHAT TO EXPECT?At this point, we'll welcome you to our other cast/crew within the private channels of our Discord server. You'll get to communicate with other VAs and crew members.

Q: How long will this movie be?
A: Accordingly to the script, it won't be longer than 60 minutes!
Q: Where will this film be distributed?
A: It will premiere on YouTube over at Blacklight Pictures' channel.
Q: How much is done of the film?
A: This film is still in the early stages of production.
Q: How long will production take?
A: We'll see how it will go. Voice-overs and storyboarding should take around six months; the animation and post-production don't have an ETA at this moment.

Madison is a young adult who is still traumatised by a personal incident that happened years ago. She is an emotional-driven and a strong character who won't give up and tries fighting her way to escape Freddy Fazbear's when the murderous spree happens. The whole story will centre around her. LEAD CHARACTER.
I'd prefer a voice that stays quite medium-low, and the character is not meant to be happy at all in the film. Her dialogue must be emotionally driven.

William Afton is the owner of Freddy Fazbear's and Fazbear Entertainment. He's a typical, middle-aged, British man, but has a sick and dark side of himself. William is one of the main characters in the story, his part will mostly pay off at the second half of the film. LEAD CHARACTER.
For him, I would prefer a calm-ish voice, and get it very crazy and twisted after 3/4 of the film. His accent would be English, but it won't be too strong.

For her voice, it will be easy to pull off. It will just be the average sounding female, a young adult with a North American accent.

He would sound like a typical, middle-aged cop. For him, I would want a voice that's capable of speaking lines with a firm expression. The character will often exclaim throughout the film.
