Feeling out part 5 casting
Project Overview
Feeling out is a character-driven, sci-fi radio play, focusing on the story of Ben and his journey through coming out of tragedy with a parasyte in his head and memory-manipulating abilities. It is a journey of Ben finding himself, and the lengths he will go to survive and be free, in a universe chained by politics, commerce, and war.
This is a passion project. One, I am dedicated to making it as clean and good as possible. All the rates are flat, and several roles will continue in a later episode of the series.
In this episode, after avoiding danger, the crew splits up, and we follow Ben through the streets of Heping Eminence, a metropolis built as a negotiation zone to work towards peace. Now a monument to poverty, corruption, narcotics, injustice, and brutality of all kinds. Ben finds his bearings amongst the filth and oddities as he searches for a purpose with his newfound freedom.

An upper walking through he mids that happens upon Ulio (A vespersapien/bat person), wanting to buy him.
They come across friendly at first despite their disturbing offer of buying Ulio, then when they gets impatient, shows they true colors the threats and degeneracy flow naturally. A pompous, arrogant person with the wealth and power to back up getting whatever they want when they want it. One who breathes 'customer service voice' while spouting obscenities.
Perhaps an elderly voice would suit this role but might take any tone and voice if its suits the role.
A depiction of the mistreatment of vespersapiens and the ego of rich always getting what they want one way or another.

(Disgusted) Ew, no, nope, not doing that, get out of my sight.
A vagrant, like many others, living in rags and hunger in Heping Eminence, lowers. Though this one is a bit special, knowledgeable, but gruff and unfiltered. A heavy accent that shortens some words and speaks like the streets.
This role will continue later in the series as a Beggar and a Union Spy
You can gawk all ya want traveler, But-i'd suggest you leave the lowers, before you can't. Newcomers always blitzed or hooked first.
Dogs can't bite on empty stomaches.
(Ben asks if he can find a doctor nearby) Ha, won't find any ones that ain't hooked fish.

Imagine you just got out of the airport or walk into a market and people come up to eager to sell you anything from a sim card to a vacation cruise to an exclusive tour of a red light district. That is these people.
Citizens of the lower city of Heping Eminece on the grind and prowl from anything they can squeeze out of anyone who isn't wiser to give them more a couple kind words and the finger.
I'm likely to give another extra role to someone who has a bit of range.

Peddler 2: You look like a man of taste, perhaps you'd like a premium visa to level 2, today only 30 minute pass on level 1! Perhaps the pleasure district?
Peddler 3: Which sector are you from sir? Which Sector? Sir? Sir? Which sector?

The border gate guard who unfortunately gets tackled by a mind controlled Stanley. As well as the guard some guards around them trying to pry Stanley away from the boss.

*chaos and grunting and sounds of getting hit by a enraged stanley.* Chill out man!
(Disgusted) Ugh, get him off!
Your average power trip straddling the border guard. Guarding between the lower and mid-levels of Heping Eminence. A man who enjoys sending people back to their unfortunate lives and does it with an indifferent yawn.

Gate guard: Aha oh~ (hits someone with baton*) How about you say that again you over grown rat! You're lucky you even have the right to breathe the same air as me. Maybe I should throw you in with the livestock, it would be more fitting. (Grunting as he strikes more)
(Luke: I am a dynasty citizen! My i.d has my certification number.) Stanley: You mean dynasty immigrant. Even if you had a Dynasty passport, only government officials can pass freely.
(Being mind controlled, forced to apologize.) I'm sorry for how I have behaved. I am a terrible person and immoral sadist.
The various passerbys and good citizens of H.E. acting out their daily toil and amusement.
It's likely I will chose a person multiple roles of extras if they have a bit of range.

(Getting bumped into) Oi, watch it!
(drunk or hight or both) Whoaaah, I don't even know what i'm looking at but your style is cleaannn. Hey there's a party later if you wanna ... (gets brushed off, then is calling them poor.) Whatever, bet you dogs are zapless anyway.
This project is foremost a passion project. One that I am currently writing, directing, and funding myself.
I am looking for someone to help with editing, writing scenes, and expanding on lore.
If you think the story is interesting, think it is good but could use some work, and want to be a part of it. Attach a piece of your writing that you think shows your writing quality and style. It can be a short story, a poem excerpt from a novel, etc. Also, mention any writing qualifications you may have.
I don't expect to make money off of this project, but I am setting it as 'deferred' for a time when I can spend and focus on this project more freely.
