The project isn't necessarily NSFW but it is 18 plus only, so please be warned that with auditions, we also will be checking to make sure you're of age!
Farmer Dorie follows the romance, trials, and tribulations of Stardew's resident farmer (Dorie) and their resident Physician (Dr. Harvey), be prepared for long emotional takes, serious conversation, and of course, heavy talk about farming (you thought I'd say the future? Well you're right, there's also that!).

Last day to audition!
Hi guys!
As you know, today is the last day to audition, meaning once the 30th hits, all other auditions submitted will not count, now with that being said, here's some advice for people who haven't been listening or are just joining the auditions!
DO NOT IMPROVISE YOUR LINES! The lines chosen in the audition were chosen specifically by Kacie and I, willingly choosing to audition with other lines is willingly choosing to be dismissed.
DO NOT AUDITIONS WITH POOR AUDIO QUALITY! As much as we are find of first timers, please know that echo-y audio, muffled audio, and background chatter gives you a greater chance at being dismissed, so please listen to your auditions before submitting, otherwise we will reject it the second we hear audio that is off.
DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU ARE UNDERAGE! This means, do not audition under any circumstance being underage, not even if you're a month away from being 18, we will not hire anyone we assume to be underage, even if you insist you're 18, unless you can show us you're 18, we will pass, this is not just our safety but for your own too.
DO NOT SUBMIT WITH ONLY 1 TAKE OF EACH LINE! 3 takes are an industry standard for a reason, I need to listen to how dynamic your voice will get, doing only one take heightens your chance of being disqualified from auditions.
DO NOT AUDITIONS FOR CHARACTER THAT SAY "closed"! Those roles have already been cast, meaning we will not bring you in at any point for them, auditioning for character that had already been cast just clogs our notifications and makes it so we don't hired you because now we believe you do not read things.
With that all being said, we are looking forward to the last minute auditions, we hope you all decide to join in, and we will be messaging people for callbacks between tomorrow and the 1st.

Audio quality, Lines, and callbacks!
Hello everyone, another update!
Auditionees, please listen to your own auditions before submitting them, a lot of you are submitting raw audio with glitches, echos, and other audio flaws that cause the crew to automatically dismiss you.
Next up, lines, I do not care if you believe 1 take is enough, please submit 3 takes for each audition, if you've already auditioned without the 3 takes and haven't been dismissed yet, do not submit anymore, but if you've been dismissed, you can try again BUT YOU NEED TO DO 3 TAKES OF EACH LINE.
Finally, callbacks, unless you are cast as a role already, which only 1 person has, you will be subjected to a callback, same as anyone else. You will know you're getting a callback from what you've submitted not being dismissed, a few of you will be messaged personally to audition for another role, but on the 30th we will be officially inviting the chosen few for callbacks.

Submissions going missing!
Hi guys, just wanted to give a small update on things, the main issue seeming to be that auditions are going missing, potential applicants are either making their auditions private or they are deleting them and sadly that means you will not be picked for any roles, so if you want to work on this, please make sure your submission is publicly listed!
Next up, please stop rushing through lines, we need to hear people say the lines without speeding through them, otherwise we don't get to fully analyze emotion and tone.
An add on to the last issue, please give us AT LEAST 3 takes, doing 1 take of each line doesn't show us your emotional range, so please do at least 3 takes.
Finally, muffled audio quality, echos, and in general poor audio will get you excluded from casting, so please make sure to pay attention to your recordings before uploading them!

Farmer Dorie/Dorie is the titular main character for the comic. Dorie is a stand-in for the Farmer in stardew valley, not only being an avid agriculturalist but also slowly going back into her dedicated witchcraft.
The series goes through her romance with Doctor Harvey and the stresses that come with that.
We are looking for someone with a mid 20s-Early 30s sounding feminine voice with emotional range, this role will require crying frequently so be prepared!

Dr. Harvey is the leading man and anxious love interest of Dorie, having an interest in keeping healthy and model airplanes, and of course his love, Dorie.
Harvey is slightly older then Dorie, so we are looking for a VA in his late 20s-mid 30s, he must have an healthy emotional range but also the professionalism to pull off playing as a doctor, and yes, you will have to lear medical jargon too.
This role also requires a lot of crying!

We are looking for POC VAs with good comedic timing, feminine voices in the range of early to mid 20s, and the ability to switch from comedy to emotional scenes on a dime.

Shane is a side character who has apathy towards the world but a hidden care towards the farmer, considering Dorie a friend of his, he always tries to look out for her, even in his own weird ways.
We are looking for an older male voice, specifically mid 20s to early 30s, deep and apathetic, often annoyed or just tired.
This role requires you to be able to switch from essentially tired/emotionless to a heightened set of emotions immediately.

Jas is the sweet, adorable witch in training and niece to Shane, although she isn't featured heavily in the series, she is important to Dorie's growth and acceptance of wanting a family and becomes her student which pushes Dorie to do magic more.
We are looking for someone who can sound 6 to 10 years old, has a childish warmth to their voice, and can stay excited for each take.
As of right now, no crying or heavy theatrics are needed for the role.

Must be able to switch from said soft and dreamy tone to emotional for this role!
