Fanime Castle
Project Overview
Hello there! This is a casting call for a story my friends and I are making for fun! I'm the main artist and project manager, and this is something I've been working on since the beginning of 2020.
What is Fanime Castle?
Fanime Castle is a non-profit crossover RPG made by a team of volunteers. It's a bridge that connects us fellow indie animators with each other. The game has original characters and an overarching plot to keep other creators interested. We occasionally open up recruitment waves to have people's OCs (original characters) show up in the game! The final game will not have voice acting, however there will be separate skits and short videos that will feature the cast, and they will be uploaded to the Youtube channel.

So am I auditioning for the game?
Nope! This casting call is for short videos, announcements and mini episodes about the project. We want to make updates in video format for future character recruitment waves. They won't be more than 3 minutes in length, and won't be more than 10 videos in total! There will be comics, visual novel style skits, just fun little lore things and character banter!
What to do
- Record at least three (3) takes per line!
- Remember to submit clean recordings, with no edited voice clips. You can filter out the background noise or remove the takes you don't like, but please don't add effects just yet!
- Please tell us where you can be contacted! Discord or Twitter is recommended, as they're the only ones I can use consistently.
- If you're confused about something, feel free to ask me questions! I'd be happy to clarify the scope of this project, or talk about the character(s), their speech patterns, etc.
What to expect
- Role(s) listed below are most likely recurring. Do expect us to speak to you occasionally about lines! We understand that your time is valuable, so we'll keep the length of scripts short and sweet.
- No pressure to be too professional with us, we're just doing this project in our own free time!
- Cliché thing to say at this point, but remember to have fun!
- We accept bloopers (I'll likely end up making animatics of them)!

Mid to high voice range. Taliesin (Tal-YES-in) is a jolly, confident bard who loves incorporating rhymes and alliteration into his speech. He is bold, emotive, but at the same time should sound friendly, as he is a character well-liked for his charisma. He's a bit of a goofball with a tendency to use old/early modern language, especially when performing in front of a crowd.
Despite being a bard, his whole gimmick is that he has no musical talent whatsoever. Don't worry about singing for this character!
My name is Taliesin. Tal for short! Unsure if you're dead, daft or divine, but I definitely deem you as dependable!
(Saying this as if it's fact) I’ve heard rocks cause salts to dissolve in the ocean. But I was also told growing up that fish poop tends to do that, too. I bet it's the jellyfishes' doing!
(Resigned, bittersweet) The corpse flowers really do haunt me, don't they? One's own past cannot be rid of easily. How foolish of me to think otherwise.
