False Hero is a fantasy soulslike-adventure that is heavily inspired by games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring.
The game has a somber atmosphere and deals with the concept of Death and learning to let go. The characters don’t talk to each other directly. but speak in monologues.
I have been working on this game as a solo-dev for about 5 years and am now finally ready to finalize the characters with voice acting.
False Hero is set in a world that is ruled by the 4 gods of life: Birth, Hope, Passion and Wisdom. One day, the eldritch monster Death appears on the horizon and threatens to extinguish every life in this world.
An eternity later, the player wakes up and begins their quest to either save this world from Death, or to embrace Death and let go of existence.

The base rate for this project is $200 per VA. (Recording should take about 1 hour) However, if your personal rate is higher, please indicate so in your audition.

I am looking for a female voice (sounding 30-40 years old) that can range from a softer vibe to a more stern voice for the following characters. (both american or british accent are fine, but preferably a weak or no accent)
WisdomWisdom is the goddess of knowledge and research.
She has an old, deep and stern voice.
She has foreseen an apocalypse that would destroy her world and knows she can do nothing against it.
BirthBirth is the goddess of nature.
She has a soft, motherly voice.
She fears greatly for all beings in her land which she calls her children.
HopeHope is the goddess of wishes and beliefs.
She has a soft, dreamy voice.
Anything she believed in would become real, but when she heard of the apocalypse, she started believing in it which caused it to happen.
PassionPassion is the goddess of war and courage.
She has a strong, deep and powerful voice.
She is a trained fighter and has an imposing presence. She is powerful and she knows this. She has the vibes of a soldier.
Death has awoken. It appeared out of nowhere, an eldritch horror on the horizon. (In the stern, old voice of Wisdom. There is fear and shock in her voice as she gives the player this information)
A scholar wearing a mask like yours had just warned me of our impending doom – an apocalypse that would take all life as we know it. (In the lost, dreamy voice of Hope. She is trying to remember what has happened to her)
How dare you. This betrayal will not go unpunished! (In the powerful voice of Passion. She is raising her voice in anger getting louder over the course of this line)

Apostle of DeathThe Apostle Of Death is a Dark Phoenix warrior that was betrayed by his goddess and then sided with the god of Death.
He is an old warrior that has led a war so long it would be called unending.
He has a low, raspy and tired voice that has evil undertones.
False HeroThe False Hero has been told by the goddess Wisdom that according to a prophecy, he would be the Hero to kill Death itself.
He went on a journey to warn all the other gods, before facing off against Death.
He still stands before Death, mindlessly swinging his blade at it doing nothing. He is convinced he is the only true Hero and that he will still kill Death if he just keeps going.
He has a less deep, but still raspy voice of a fallen hero.
Scholars of WisdomTwo scholars that once studied under the goddess of Wisdom.
After Death corrupted the world, they have become ignorant to any opinion other than their own.
They have a lifeless, undead vibe to them and have lost their mind.
Rise, soldiers! This war has not yet found its end. (In the deep, raspy, evil voice of the Apostle of Death. He is saying this as a general, commanding his dark forces to attack the player.)
So close to victory you intend to steal my praise? My prophesied glory? (In the less deep but still raspy voice of the False Hero. There is anger and disbelief in his voice as he shouts this to the player.)
It all makes sense, too; there cannot be Life if there will be Death. (In the undead, almost crazy voice of a scholar of wisdom. He is convinced the opinion he is defending must obviously be true)

NoahNoah was once a scholar under the goddess of Wisdom. He learned a lot about the lands of this world, but never traveled there himself.
When a great corruption took over the world, Noah was also lost to this corruption. Just like the player however, he found a mask that gave him back consciousness.
He is inquisitive and has a positive outlook.
He is a follower of the gods of life. However over the course of the game, he learns what crimes they have committed, loses his positivity and sides with Death instead.
You came at a good time, you know. I don't know how much longer I would have lasted down there. (Noah was just saved from a monster attacking him and crawls out of the hole he has been hiding in. He is a little out of breath but thankful)
Ages ago, apparently, Birth found a substance deep below a mountain in her land. She called it the Blood of the World. (Noah is telling a story about the area the player is in right now. He is clearly fascinated and excited by the things he has read about this place.)
Answer me this: how can you still be fighting for the gods? After all they've done to us? (Noah confronts the player about their choices. Noah is angry and confused, how the player could help the gods.)
