Project Overview
What is Fallout The Frontier?
Fallout: The New Frontier is a rework of Fallout: The Frontier, a released, Fallout New Vegas New Lands Expansion Mod. It is a new adventure centered around a conflict between the NCR Exiles, the Northern Legion, and the Crusaders in the snow-blasted remains of Portland Oregon. Featuring 2 major questlines, 60+ side quests, hundreds of new armors, weapons and items, and tens of thousands of lines of new voiced dialogue!

Following feedback, we are in the process of reworking the mod, from story adjustments to new quests and settlements. With fundamental changes and additions to the mod, such as the main quest content available, new voice acting will be needed. Some of which will be regarding completely new characters, while others will involve characters who appeared in Legacy whose VAs we are no longer in contact with.
Requirements for Auditioning Voice Actors:
We are currently looking for 18 years of age or older voice actresses and actors with at least a standalone mic (XLR mic preferred, no headset mics), a fair amount of voice acting or real-life acting experience (ideally a demo reel), with proper sound proofing.
Instructions for Auditioning Voice Actors:
We request that all VAs who are interested are also able to communicate and send/receive files through Discord servers and DMs. On Discord, you will be communicating with me (@ACTIONFIGHTER11#2791) via DMs or the Frontier VA Server's public chat. If you are cast, you will receive your lines through discord along with recording instructions, deadline, accent specifications, character bios, and line directions.
If lines are not received in time and the team and I fail to get in touch with you after repeated messages, we will have to look into recasting. If you are cast and have any complications, please notify me via Discord DMs as soon as possible.
Non-human characters that require significant audio effects or modulation will have a special tag in their name. Pre - Existing Fallout Franchise Characters that require voice actors who can impersonate the original voice files from the Fallout games they appear in will have a (Needs Impersonator) tag next to their name. Non-human characters include ghouls, robots, and super mutants. Any filters involved like gas masks or power armor helmets will not need to be done by voice actors or be added to the audition files. We mention them just as a reference for your own convenience. Unless we specify a specific accent, all characters, no matter what species, are to have the regular North American accent.
Additionally, some finer details of the rework writing is still in flux, which means certain characters from those parts of development may receive more lines to record after the initial script sending.
You should record all 3 audition lines included for each character. For each audition line, submit only one take. Be sure to follow the scene context and line instructions provided for the audition line. You should be recording through an audio recording software like Audacity or Adobe Audition. You should export and submit your audition as a .wav file (48 khz, 16 bit rate, mono). You do not need to limit yourself in the number of characters you audition for. In some cases, we go ahead and cast a voice actor for more than one role, if we can ensure each character sounds different enough from each other.
Once the deadline date is reached for a certain batch of characters, we will no longer accept more auditions for the specified roles within that batch. Over the next week or so, we will go over the submitted auditions and cast our characters.
CCC will automatically send you a message if you get cast. Additionally, we will send a private message to your CCC profile containing information on how to join a discord server where voice acting for the Frontier is managed. If there are any complications preventing that, please respond to our private message as soon as possible and we will work out solutions with you.

An influential water merchant / ice slicer in Sandlot, Murdoch is a shrewd businessman and something of a profiteer. He has a knack for sensing where the winds will blow, and this has helped him and his crew significantly in the past. Now, with the NCR's threat looming, he's looking for the best way to leverage the situation. Within Sandlot, his biggest competition remains the Water Pump; scavs surprisingly would rather drink dirty water than pay for cleaner ice water. His biggest client remains the Greenhouse, with Salt Town surprisingly helping with business. He’s definitely able to keep himself out of controversy by providing very neutral takes on anything controversial, while still ensuring he always comes out on top.

For the first audition line, you are giving a passionate sales pitch of your faction, distracting from the fact that you are trying to obtain a monopoly over the entire settlement's water supply.
For the second audition line, the player tries to convince you to help out the settlement for free and relieve the stress that other residents feel. You're trying to gaslight the player.

A young man in a baggy jumpsuit covered in dirt, G.T. is the de-facto head farmer in charge of the settlement’s Greenhouse. Upbeat but somewhat introverted, G.T. spends most of his time and energy taking care of his plants and coordinating the communal gardening shifts. Unfortunately, the sustainability of the operations at the Greenhouse and the rising tensions within the settlement will force him out of his comfort zone.

Chief is the travel-hardened owner and proprietor of The Blind Traveler, an underground bar and “Fight Club” hidden within the back rooms of the Inn-And-Out. While tough on running a smooth operation, he cares deeply for his patrons and Fight Club fighters. He’s generally very much pro scav freedoms and merely tolerates the Legion’s presence. He’s definitely worried about the rights of scavs in the future as the scavs continuously fail to effectively address Sandlot’s problems while Legion’s offerings of solutions become more enticing to the uninformed public. The player can also purchase drinks and food from him. American accent.

Ladies, Gentlemen, Scavs of Sandlot! It's on to the day's next match!
Anything goes inside the ring. Just don't intentionally maim the other guy: eyes, neck, killshots. When there's a knockout, the fight stops.
The unofficial janitor of The Blind Traveler; Chief pays him a few caps and a dinner each time he comes in to clean, but has never officially hired him as the janitor. He generally keeps to himself and is the quiet sort. This has been hard considering his despicable brother and longtime champion of the Blind Traveler Throwdown, Logan, is constantly flexing and claiming to be superior; Logan is seemingly untouchable due to his physical strength, status as a Riveter, and Chief’s protection due to bringing in a lot of money as a fighter. Without risking personal injury, Slick’s always been looking for a way to teach his brother a lesson about humility considering Logan stole their late mother’s car from him, purely for scrap. When the player arrives at the establishment, Slick thinks he’s got a plan and contacts the player for help. American accent.

Turris started his life with the Legion as so many do, on the frontline. Turris served for many years as a Legionary, not just dealing with peacekeeping duties but also being part of several campaigns to subjugate tribes in Arizona. Eventually becoming a veteran Turris was offered the position of Decanus but refused due to a lack of wanting to deal with command bureaucracy, instead opting to join the Vigiles Urbani (equivalent to police, guards and firefighters). Due to his reputation as a veteran legionary was given post at several key fortifications and curried favor with the commanding officers for his no nonsense and reliable approach. Turris eventually found himself in a prestigious position as Custodia of the Sandlot tower gate in the Legions northern campaign. Turris takes his position seriously, always being on time and ever vigilant, his only vice being an interest in pre-war medieval comics that he enjoys during his downtime. Turris is not easily persuaded or intimidated and while he is not a great believer in the cult of Mars he does wholeheartedly believe in Caesar and the Legion as a whole, holding it to be the wastelands greatest achievement.

One of Buck and Chuck’s Leather Jerk friends who was supposed to help out with a hunt. Unfortunately, upon reaching the rendezvous house, he is found to be heavily injured and sitting by the fireplace. His group ended up attacking rather than wait for the player, Buck, and Chuck, which resulted in mass casualties and his injuries. He is generally upset at his group’s failure and believes another attack would be a suicide run. American accent with a growl.

Whatever, 狗子. Your guns and your shop are trash, like all 41st. The Defenders will rule P-Town when you're gone.
Éamon Higgins’ life for the first ten years was the everyday life of any American boy at that time: Full of wonder, fun, trying to grasp the vast technological advancements around him… all the while every adult around him became increasingly more nervous for no discernible reason.
As the bombs fell in 2077, Éamon survived, as did his parents. What may sound like a soon-to-be drama and sob story, took a surprisingly positive turn. Not only did his parents live up to the ripe old age of 90, but he also got ghoulified when he hit advanced age, around 60-70 years old at the time.
This meant that, albeit with less skin and a bit of a stench, he enjoyed another 130 years of his life building multiple families, adopting dozens upon dozens of children (27 in total) and having 3 different wives over that entire time.
Living his life in the wasteland to an unusually good degree, his body hit its limit around his 200th year on this earth, when he began to display symptoms of becoming a mindless feral ghoul.
Content with his life, he first just wandered about and, after some time, sat down on a bench… and just waited to die in peace, in nature. Yet as the player character finds them, he may realize that he does want a bit more of an explosive ending to his life.
And so, with revolver in hand and a smile on his face, he stands side by side with the player on his journey… until the clocks ticks to its end, and he can finish off his life, fulfilled and ready to see his family again.
Higgins is a nice and helpful character who likes to ramble a bit, showing a smile whenever possible. He is not quite a soft man however, as he has hurt and killed before, albeit never for evil reasons, and he is quite a survival and people expert and very proficient with his revolver. He has a discernible Irish accent, coming from his father, and even learnt quite a bit of Gaelic, which came from his mother, and has also developed a weakness for simple and stupid jokes. Through his long life experience, he has also gathered quite a bit of wisdom and courage.

Heavy preference to those talented at creating buildings and architecture. Please provide examples of your work.
