Maxwell "Max" Everest is the main character of this series. He is a 15-year-old boy in his sophomore year of high school. For years Max has been treated in harsh ways because he is the son of a human and an elf. He has tried several times to make himself look more of a human, even going so far as to dye his mint green hair and hide his pointy ears to look more humane. Max is a kind and caring guy that sparks creativity, magic, and nature. He is very sheepish the majority of the time and does not handle well under pressure.

"Huh? Oh, it's my mom's spell book! I managed to sneak it out to practice spell-casting at lunch."
"As the son of an elf warrior who has fought living beasts and creatures that are being taught to us in the school's curriculum preference, I take offense to that. I'm surprised you came to school, Kres. Did you come just to express your ego and feed into your self-absorption, or are you just tired of sitting around your house all day?"
Jay is a 16-year-old human. He is the youngest son of Daniela and Robert Walker and the youngest brother to Liam Walker (his 20-year-old brother.) Jay is the main right winger for Hollow High's Ice Hockey team, even occasionally being subbed in for the center player. Other than being an athlete, he dabbles in musical talent by playing bass. Despite being a confident knucklehead, Jay also has a lot of fears and insecurities. His biggest fear is failing to protect those he cares about and not being strong enough to save them if needed. Jay truly is a friend to the end and is forever loyal.

Kres Jones is a 16-year-old snow wolf and your average bully at Hollow High. Since the 6th grade, she has bullied our trio (Max, Jay, and Cass) just for kicks and giggles. Kres is the lead player for the softball team at Hollow High and the drummer for her band "Those Freaks On Stage". Kres is accompanied by her two friends Eli and Bethany every day to cause mischief. While Kres is rough on the outside, she is very gentle and sweet on the inside.

Avera Everest is the 35-year-old mother to our main character Max. She served in the mythical vs humans war back then and has been protecting her royal family's legacy since then, or rather protecting her son from her family. During the day Avera is your average software developer but by 5:30 she is back to being Max's mother.

This character isn't really important. All you gotta know is she is one of Kres' friends, she is 16, likes fashion, and is cruel to EVERYONE. For Bethany, I'm lookin' for someone who sounds sassy, and snarky like a 16-year-old girl would be.
