Maxwell "Max" Everest is the main character of this series. He is a 15-year-old boy in his sophomore year of high school. For years Max has been treated in harsh ways because he is the son of a human and an elf. He has tried several times to make himself look more of a human, even going so far as to dye his mint green hair and hide his pointy ears to look more humane. Max is a kind and caring guy that sparks creativity, magic, and nature. He is very sheepish the majority of the time and does not handle well under pressure.
