Espresstoe Beans Episodes 4-6 Roles
Project Overview
Espresstoe Beans is an episodic sitcom about the daily life of two cats if the roles of humans and cats were reversed. The main characters, Tax and Yuumi, run a small cafe that offers entertainment in the form of little humans running around.
Three episodes are currently live on my YouTube, TinyHatsforTinyCats! I've decided to try to batch the next 3 episodes and produce them all simultaneously, so I'm currently casting for roles that appear in episodes 4-6!
Typically, I've just reached out to VAs directly to fill roles but I decided to try an open casting call for this go round! I hope you all will lend my characters your talents through your voices :3
What to expect:
-After accepting the role, please provide an email/discord and I will send you the script for the episode(s) your character is in.
-I will give you a soft deadline for lines to be due (typically 2 weeks from the date). I am the only one working on the project, so I am flexible on deadlines, I just ask that you let me know a different date ahead of time.
-2 takes is preferred, but if you wish to experiment/improvise just include that as an extra take. Improvising/experimenting is encouraged, I include those lines more often than not.
-Send the files as mp3/wav files. Use noise reduction or include 10 seconds of room sound in the file. Do not edit the audio further.
-Payment will be sent after the files have been received. If any retakes are needed, they will not delay payment.
-I will send you a Google Form for you to provide names you'd like to use in the credits/links for the description.
-That's it! You're job is done! The only thing left is to wait for me to finally finish animating and upload!

Toll Evasion is the father of the main character, Tax Evasion. He will be appearing in episode 5, briefly in episode 6, and might have a few additional lines in future episodes.
He is a typical proud father... until you mention something related to one of his many many conspiracy theories... He lives a typical middle class suburban life, assuming windowless bunkers in the middle of nowhere count as the suburbs.
I like when performances spark visuals in my head and the show has a lot of comedy, so feel free to give exaggerated performances/play with contrast/express yourself however you think fits!

I swear if the shadow government has trespassed on my land again they'll regret it!
Oh! My wonderful son! Welcome home it's great to have you back!
Seal the bunker. Prepare for war. Today we fight.
Court Evasion is the mother of the main character, Tax Evasion. She will be appearing in episode 5 and might have a few additional lines in future episodes.
Court is a loving mother and prides herself in being a very sweet and kind housewife. She loves baking, decorating, taking care of her family, and disrupting the shadow government from seizing power from every aspect of life. (She's into conspiracy theories.)

It's wonderful to have you home, dear! I'll whip up some muffins quicker than you can say "they've infiltrated the supply chain"!
Tax, dear. You should have told us all of this earlier. We still love you, you know?
Of course the doctors are compromised! That's how they gain your trust!
Riven is a member of the mysterious "Council" that was revealed in a previous episode. He's what you might describe as an angsty teen. He really can't be bothered with what the Council wants him to do. He's more concerned with alleviating his own boredom, but he'll repay favors to the Council if they manage to find something entertaining for him to do.
This is a more major role and Riven will make appearances in future episodes, so I'm looking for someone who is able to commit to voicing him again. (Also to keep in mind: I'm the only one writing/animating/directing this series so there will be gaps of time between appearances.)
My main priority when casting is if the vocal performance sparks visuals in my head, so while Riven's appearance and personality leans towards more of a cool kid, if you have a neat direction you think fits or some personal flare you want to give him, go for it!

*sigh* I don't really want to be here in the first place, so I guess this arrangement is fine.
Whatever. It's not like they heard me. No need to make it a whole thing.
I'm busy. I don't have time for another patrol. Take the new kit or something.
This role is for the voice of those communication buttons people sometime use to train their pets how to speak. The vocals in this role are really going to have to paint a picture as the visuals will mostly be intense stares, vignette filters, and zooms. Ideally, I'd like to see a contrast between the "Food" and "Pet" lines and the lines where the buttons gain sentience and begin expressing real ideas.

Walk.
Outside.
Spare no one. The times call for scorched Earth tactics. Leave only ash and blood behind.
