Project Overview
Escape From Morinia is an anime inspired audio drama that combines themes of Sword Art Online, Rising of Shield Hero and Black Clover. The Story follows Miyasaki Chin (Miyo) , a college student who gets trapped in his brother’s favorite video game. He is then unwillingly enrolled in the “Tournament of Destiny”, which would be easy… if he knew anything about video games. He is quested with navigating powers, finding allies and most importantly Escaping Morinia with his life.

Julio Drake has always been the best at everything he touched, whether it was sports, school or even video games. It made him cocky, cocky enough to try anything… even a game called ‘Battles of Morinia’. Drake quickly rose the ranks and won the last tournament. He became the champion of Morinia, but before he could complete his task of defending it as its champion, the game stopped updating. Now he is back for revenge, to show that he is still the top player.

Well if you remember, four years ago after the tournament, the original creator, Horace Vilmer disappeared. That spiked the popularity of the game. Since then, the last 128 that participated in the tournament have basically all disappeared from the leaderboards. There are still a handful of them clinging on to lower levels, but they probably won't be there for much longer. They don’t matter much anyways because we already know who’s gonna win; Me!

Some old fans of the game are hosting it, I think. They really haven’t said much about it. They pulled the top 128 players in the world to come play, including me. (Starts to Nerd Out) It’s gonna be a 30 day tournament and your character is gonna start out bare minimum in the Papelca forest, so basically you’ll only get a travelers knife and a cloth robe, then you have to go collect-

Alix Vilmer is the daughter of Horace Vilmer, the creator of ‘Battles of Morinia’, a popular online video game. She grew up playing the game and got quite good at it. She loved the vast worlds, fun quests and powerful spells she could learn. As she grew up she found that being a girl who played video games was frowned upon so she learned to hide it. Roughly 4 years ago her father vanished into thin air, her quest to find her father started then and continues now!
