The Edge of the Page is a fan animatic set in the world of Fundamental Paper Education. Inspired by fan-made comics of the same fandom, it shows the harsh reality of the Paper School, and the brutal murders of its students by belligerent teachers.
Several days after the events of Basics in Behavior, a student named Bubble is stopped in the halls by Miss Circle. She threatens to "punish" Bubble, followed by humiliating her in front of the students in the halls. Right before she can take Bubble back to her classroom, Engel whacks Miss Circle in the head with an emergency-use-only crowbar, knocking her unconscious.
Engel then goes on to tell all his peers how horrid this place really is, what it took from him, and what everyone needs to do about it.
The script is all complete, so all I need is someone to voice Engel. The animatic overall is pretty melancholic, and features themes of grief, emotional distress, and mild violence. But if you're fine with that, please don't hesitate to tell me! You will be credited in the animatic, and by extension any animatics preceding it. This project is also unpaid.
Thank you to Ava Hendrix for auditioning for Engel in my FPE fan animatic! I really appreciate you wanting to help make this project happen!
The role for Engel has been fulfilled, so I'm not accepting other auditions for this role. However, I might cast for voice actors for other characters, though!
Voice Actor
He's a high school student and a prominent character in The Edge of the Page. He has witnessed the deaths of other students at the hands of belligerent teachers, and even lost his best friend because of them. As for his voice, it should initially sound indignant and frustrated, and then gradually become heartbroken.
…Sure. (responding to Bubble's question about going to the library)
Almost every day, we come to this god-awful facility to learn. But instead, we're treated to three psychopaths who won't miss the first chance they get to have us killed.
(almost in tears) You've all seen the abject horrors taking place in what you think is a school!!
