Voiced D&D Character Monologue
Project Overview
For an upcoming Dungeons and Dragons campaign I'm doing with friends, I thought it would be fun to have a surprise voiced introduction to the character I'll be playing in the same vein as the short character introductions in Divinity: Original Sin II (background music not included). The total length of what I have in mind is estimated at somewhere between 40 to 50 seconds, and with a comedic tone. The setting is a mix between traditional medieval European fantasy (elves and orcs and dragons, oh my!) with a steampunk flair. If that's the sort of character you take interest in helping me give a little life to, I'd love to hear your take!

A short, lanky elven thief with a foul mouth and a self-preservative, cocky attitude. Having been raised in the gutters of human society, his way of speaking is crude and carefree.
I haven't settled on any specific accent for him, so anything works that's traditionally considered to be adopted by people with a low social/financial standing. At the very least, he has a habit of occasionally slurring words and taking shortcuts in his speech (that ain't th' way!), giving off the air that he's either not very well-educated or just doesn't care.
Being a thief, he's also naturally conniving, impish, and mocking - in both a friendly, teasing way towards friends or to watch his enemies' faces redden with anger if he feels particularly confident. In a good mood, he generally comes off as an energetic jokester - when he's more serious, he may sound more uncomfortable, like he's not used to being upfront about how he feels with others.
"Don't get me wrong, pal! I'm all for a couple rounds at the bar if it's you that's buyin'."
"A guy's just gotta know how to watch his own butt, yeah?"
(An impish giggle, like he's amused by a joke of his own telling.)
