Dragalia Lost "Kindred Ties" Dub (SEQUEL Fire Emblem Heroes Crossover Event)
Project Overview
And now for round two!
About the project:
The project is to dub the story episodes from the limited time event “Kindred Ties” in the Nintendo mobile game Dragalia Lost, which is a sequel to the special event that crossed over with fellow Nintendo mobile game; Fire Emblem Heroes. While all of the characters from the first part are now cast, there are half a dozen MORE wonderful characters needing to be given equally wonderful voice acting for an English listening audience. An example of the story will be listed below
This project will have a very quick turn around, and will be published swiftly. Because of this, I am looking for capable VAs that can quickly deliver lines and with correct, emotional expression, all within a few days of being cast. There will be a lot of lines in such a short time for the leading roles, but this should be a very fun project as well!
Why is this casting call so short? And why do I need all of the lines so soon? Because the story cutscenes are only available to view during the event’s active period (which ends in less than a week after this casting call ends). Because of this, all voice recordings must be finalized much prior to the event’s conclusion so I can have time to match the voices with the footage I will be recording AFTER lines are delivered, so I can assure the cutscenes will match to the pace of everyone’s voice acting, instead of forcing actors to speak faster or slower to match any pre-recorded footage.
About the Channel and it's Director:
The Youtube channel, Voxridian, has been an on-going content creator of comic and video game dubs, most notably for the Fire Emblem Heroes "Day in the Life" series. The channel has accumulated nearly 2,000,000 total views over 65 fan-dubs and other videos. Voxridian was created and is spearheaded by Braeden Gilliss, who is a fan of Fire Emblem among many other video game series.
Requirements:
Actors must:
• be 13 years old or older, have a Discord account, and be welcome to join my server for contact.
• be open and able to take direction in live voice chat via Discord.
• be able to yell or shout if necessary and without peaking their microphones.
• have good quality microphones and recording sound quality (minimal hiss, static, background noise and plosives)
(note: “good quality” is relative to amateur or fan-made productions. Anything as good or better than a Blue Yeti Microphone is welcome. Please be aware that Blue Snowball, phone or headset microphones are not recommended and may be disqualified)
• be respectful to others in my server.
• be able to deliver all final recordings (for upwards of 10 episodes) within 3 days of being handed their script and/or being directed. (Note: Each episode should have about 5 - 20 lines per leading character, and less for most of the supporting cast)
About the story:
A sudden rash of tears in space remind the prince and his friends of a time they were visited by great heroes from another world. When they travel to the gate that connects to that world, they encounter Sharena, princess of the Askran Kingdom. The tears in space turn out to be a side effect of the Askran Kingdom's gateway-opening powers. Sharena explain that Alfonse was captured by Thórr--who calls herself the god of war--and sent to this world. Hoping to save Alfonse, the party decides to gather more information...
Additional Info:
There are at least 8 episodes in the event, plus a Prologue and an Epilogue (a minimum total of 10 “parts”). All 10 parts will be dubbed, each being given their own episode (with an average line count of about 80) or put into groups of 3 parts. A full story video may also be produced, if all works to plan.
If both the "Lost Heroes" and "Kindred Ties" event dubs are successful, it is likely we'll be doing Adventurer Story dubs and dubs of the main main story in Dragalia Lost. That means the actors cast for the roles of Zenthia, Mym, Sharena, Peony, Tiki may be asked to stick around for even more dubs!
Please note that most of the main characters from Dragalia Lost, as well as the Fire Emblem characters from "Lost Heroes" have already been cast in a prior casting call.
The final videos will be released on Youtube under my channel, Voxridian.

This casting call is open in other areas outside of Casting Call Club, as well. So there is a chance roles can be cast off-site.
When auditioning, it is highly recommended to provide multiple takes of each line with different emotive directions (this helps me feel confident in your acting abilities!), but please do not submit more than 3 takes per line (thanks!)

The Princess of the Kingdom of Askr. She comes to thie world of Alberia (Dragalia Lost) in order to save comrades who had been swallowed up in the space between worlds. Bright and warm, she safeguards peace as a member of the Order of Heroes. She is generally cheerful and genuine, making friends easily and eagerly. She is sweet and friendly, and very determined
Her voice should sound like a determined, friendly and cheerful younger sister (about the age of 16-18). While of royalty, she puts aside formalities and is more interested in making friends and keeping them safe. Although she will sometimes uses compound words and slang, she should have a clear and generally articulated manner of speech, befitting of a young princess.
(Cheery introduction, then excitedly expressing her appreciation for the protagonist as a legend)
Princess Sharena of the Askran Kingdom, at your service! I can't even tell you what an honor this is for me, Prince. I've been a fan of yours for decades! Well, perhaps not in the literal sense, but it certainly feels like it!
(Regarding her new allies fighting a friend of her's that's possessed)
N-no! I can't ask all of you to fight her without me! I'll... I'll be okay. I mean, even best friends fight sometimes, right? You have it out, and then you're even better friends than you were before! It's going to be just like that.
(in opposition to Thórr)
I told you before I was tired of you doing whatever you pleased, and I'm going to stop it no matter what!
Thórr is the self proclaimed "god of war", carrying the mighty Mjolnir. She descends upon various worlds, judging their worthiness of having warriors suitable to fight among the heavens. She is the servant of Alfaðör, and works alongside Loki. Thórr claims to not seek to destroy, or to prevent destruction. Thórr acts as one of two antagonists in the Kindred Ties story.
Her voice should sound strong and stoic. Confident and apathetic but interested in mortals that fight even when all seems hopeless.
Do not mistake me, O dragonblood prince. The destruction of worlds--or of men--is but the most trifling of matters to a god. We neither seek it nor seek to prevent it. But the souls of those who fight based on the thinnest of hopes are a beautiful thing, and worthy of admiration.
You have quite the penchant for resisting fate, O prince of Ylisse. But it makes no difference in the end. This world has already been judged. There is not a soul here worthy of becoming a heavenly hero.

A ljósálfar from Ljósálfheimr, the realm of dreams. She delivers pleasant dreams to mortals. She's both sincere and positive, and enjoys playing with children. She hates nightmares and negative things, and shoos them away to gives children peaceful and fun dreams. Though she is a fairy, she is the size of most humans of her build.
Her voice should be as she is, sincere and positive! A sweet note to her voice would be very welcome. Although it's noted she's a fairy kind, I'd like a very natural and positive voice. her appearance is akin to a young woman about the age of 17-22

Hee! Yeah, Sharena filled me in while you were asleep. Anyway, I feel like I've MET Thórr, but my memories are all jumbled and hazy, so I can't be certain. Sorry.
The Flamewyrm Brunhilda, who assumed a human form to be closer to her darling the prince, Euden. Her love knows no bounds, and burns hotter than even her own fierce blazes. Mym is a fiery woman who lived in a volcano for hundreds of years as a dragon. She fell hard for the prince when he formed a pact with her. She follows Euden on his quest to take back Alberia.
Her voice should be mature and doting. She takes on the form of a young adult woman (about the age of 25-30), but being as she is a flamewyrm, she is fiery and will fight and literally burn anyone that would threaten to harm her darling Euden, so her voice should express this in her more agressive lines.
She officially has an English accent (from what material I can find of her voice), but she can have either a North American or an English accent as long as it really fits her personality

(Trying to calm down Tiki, but warning her she'll fight her)
We're gonna need you to calm down, my dragon sister. And if that means I need to start playing rough with you, then so be it!
(Referring to humankind, and then finally Prince Euden)
To be honest, there are times when I find them both exhausting and infuriating. Nevertheless, there are many of their number that I am proud to call friend. Including my beloved darling!
A princess and daughter of the Divine Dragon. She was left behind long ago and fears further abandonment. She hides great power within herself. Though she appears to be humanoid, she can turn into a divine dragon and unleash great power. Tiki is very childish, and sometimes gives close friends or guardians nicknames like "Mar-Mar". She is, in fact, over a thousand year old, but her mental and physical age is about that of a very young girl.
Her voice should be childish, and a bit lonely at times, but also playful when she's happy. She can be determined, and thus her voice should be able to express that.
She typically has an English accent in current, official material. If this is not your strong suit, feel free to use a North American accent. Though if any two auditions carry similar quality of acting, but one has a good English accent, that audition may be considered more.

(Childishly suggesting she play decoy to draw away enemy soldiers)
Well, if I just turn into a dragon and go "raawwwrr!" all those soldiers will come chasing after me, right?

Guys, I'm a dragon. A DIVINE dragon. I'll be fiiiine!
(Fearful and then angry)
No! They're going to kill them and leave me all alone... I hate being alone! I HAAATE IT! GRAAAGH!
The twin sister of Euden, and one of the few maidens of the Church. Quick to cry as a child, she became more stoic after the passing of her mother. She's now a strong-willed young woman who cherishes her older brother. She is later captured and then, through absorbing dark mana, is turned into a darker version of herself known as The Empress, or as Euden and his allies refer to as "Other Zethia" or simply "Other". She plays an antagonist role as the Empress but as a supporting role when she is still her pure form.
Her voice should be kind and sisterly when in her pure form but commanding and sadistic in her Empress form. She is of nobility so she should have clear enunciation in her words
(Normal version of Zethia. Trying to get her brother to come to his senses in the dreamworld, then questioning him when he looks at her)
Wake UP already! You're going to catch your death if you fall asleep here.... What is wrong with you, weirdo? You're acting like you've seen a ghost.
(dying, partially under rubble)

Don't be in such a hurry, dear brother. Try to relax and just... enjoy the moment. After all, it's not every day you get to witness the world's end!
An armored, imperial commander working against Euden and his allies' cause. His orders are to kill the dragons in the nearby area, which leads him to finding Tiki.
He should sound commanding, apathetic, and ruthless.
(Calling out he spotted the dragons, then ordering his men to attack)
There! It's those damnable dragons! Attend me, men! Our orders are to root out and exterminate every last dragon on this mountain--leave not a single one alive!
(Ruthlessly ordering hus men to keep fighting)
Stand your ground, you gutless curs! We're under orders to slay those dragons as an offering to the empress!
