Don't Make Deals with Demons (Audio Drama) R2
Project Overview
Greetings everyone! Yellow Rose Productions is in need of voices for our on going audio drama series, Don't Make Deals with Demons. This will be our final casting call for the project since this will complete the entire cast for the story.
For those not in the know, here is the story:
Don't Make Deals with Demons follows the tale of Edmond Wilkinson, who after being pressured into making a deal with a demon king, finds himself cursed and trapped in a world very far away from his own. He's determined to find his way back and break his curse, but many challenges lie ahead. From struggling with his curse to the many demons that inhabit the world he now finds himself in. Thankfully, he doesn't have to do it alone. With the help of those he meets along the way, he intends to break his curse and put an end to the tyranny of King Cato.
We are looking for the following for all actors:
- Quality audio
- Good work ethic and will meet deadlines when given
- Good communication skills
- Passion

Dante Carter is an enigma to many who encounter him. He has the air of someone who his confident and knows what he is doing no matter the situation yet something seems to be hiding behind that confident look. Secrets perhaps? No on is sure. Either way, he's a kind man who wants to he best for everyone and while he himself is trying to escape, he would never ever put someone on the line just so he can survive.
I wouldn’t say hopeless. I have quite a bit of hope but I won’t deny the fool part. Enough about me though. Let’s talk about you.
Yes, but that’s a story for another time. Right now, let’s focus on getting your friend here to the hidden village. And before I forget, name’s Dante. Dante Carter.
Know this rule, nothing is ever as it seems here.
Cinder is a very jaded and grumpy demon. He's seen a lot in his life time and doesn't really view much in a positive light. (Save for his friend, Emily.) He prefers to always stick to realistic standards and can be quite cynical towards ideas that seem out of reach. We're looking for a somewhat raspy and deep voice. Middle to low range. Majority of the time has a bit sarcasm to his tone but can be gentle and serious when the time calls for it.
(Annoyed yet Concerned) This is stupid… but I’m not letting you go alone. You’re the only friend I have in this forsaken place and it would be rather cruel of me to stand by and let you get hurt.
(Slight Chuckle) Oh, my dear Emily, your optimism hurts sometimes.
(Annoyed) Always the same reaction. Hostility. Can’t blame you though. Hard to trust anyone here. Especially a demon.
Emily is a very kind and gentle angel. Always looks for the best in all things, tries to look for the light in the darkest of times and is always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She's realistic in her goals but isn't afraid to go for more idealistic if the chance presents itself. We're looking a soft gentle voice. Very motherly and sweet. Middle to high range.
(Slight Chuckle) Yes, even grumpy old Cinder. He might not show much but he has a lot more to him that’s under that facade of his.
(Slightly Defensive) He didn’t seem hopeless to me. If anything, he and Edmond seem determined and full of hope. I wouldn’t call that being a hopeless fool. I would call that standing your ground and fighting back.
(Gentle) Please, don’t blame yourself for something that was completely out of your control. You did what you could to fight Sadyia before she bit you. What happened afterward wasn’t any of your doing.
Delano is a quiet and reserved demon. Only really speaks when he has to and prefers to get tasks done as fast as possible. Very much values logic and strategy when it comes to battle. We're looking for a quiet middle to low range voice that has tendency to always come off as cold.
(Slight Anger) I saw what you did. Don’t try to lie to me. You know it doesn’t work.
(Slight Concern) Look, Sadyia, I enjoy a good fight as much as the next demon but this… this is serious and I worry Cato is not taking this seriously enough.
(Growl) Rules are rules and now you have to suffer the consequences.
Sadyia is sadistic demoness. Finds a lot of joy in causing harm to her victims and always takes pleasure in a good fight. Nothing makes her smile more than seeing her victims squirm. and pleasing her king. (Bottom line she's 100% certifiably insane and wants King Cato to acknowledge her amazingness.) Looking for a middle to high range voice that comes off as unhinged majority of the time.
(laughs) And we all know how well that worked last time! Oh, that Lumen was delicious to have the scraps of. Dante really should’ve been more careful!
(Eager to Please) Anything for you, My Liege. What shall I do that will please you? I could maim someone, torment, anything to your liking.
(Taunting) Oh Dante, you really shouldn’t keep secrets like that. I mean, for all you know he might make the same mistake she did.
Ecalipse is a lowly demon in the world of Umbra Cacles. Like every other demon, he's just doing what he can to survive by whatever means necessary. Even if said means get him into trouble with King Cato. Looking of a middle to low range voice.
(chuckles) Ah, but all human souls are for any demon. Especially tainted ones like yours.
(laughs) Oh, you named him? Bad idea. You don’t want to get attached to anything. You never know when it might just be taken from you. Or when it might turn on you.
(Annoyed) I think I’m feeling merciful and I’ll just kill you right now before you make yourself miserable.
Scarlet is Dante's wife. She's very sweet and very patient. Currently praying for the safe return of her husband but isn't sure when and how that will come to be. Hopefully before their child is born but only time will tell. Looking for a gentle middle range voice.
(Worried) I really hope he’s okay… He and Edmond and everyone else that has gone missing.
(Tired) Better than I was when we got here. The baby finally settled down and I don’t feel sick anymore. I really shouldn’t have walked so much.
Marra was a traveling companion of Dante's before he met Edmond. What has become of her Dante leaves vague but it's evident she's not around anymore. Marra is a sweet young girl who always has hope for the future. Despite the circumstance she found herself in, her sweet nature never faded. Looking for a very young high middle range voice.
(Excited) Dante! Dante! Look! These are a rare breed of jasmines! Aren’t they beautiful?
(Gentle) This isn’t goodbye forever. We’ll see each other again. Not sure when, but I know we will.
