Distorted Dreams [Sims 2 Machinima Mini Series]
Project Overview
Introduction: Hii! You can call me Eko (they/them). I've been a Sims 2 machinima creator since my early teen years and it's always been my most beloved hobby and form of escapism (even though I stopped doing it for 5 years that one time *cough*). I normally do subtitled series, but I always wanted to actually try and challenge myself to make at least one small voice over project to spice things up on my channel, haha. I consider myself an easy-going person, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions at any time!
Deadline: May 1st, 2022
Synopsis: A group of friends organize a relaxing getaway, but things take a weird turn when the newcomer discovers they are able to enter everyone's dreams while they're asleep.
Genre: Fantasy, Comedy, Romance, Slice of Life
Runtime: The story will be split into 4 parts that will range from 20 to 40 minutes max. I am aiming to do a super short & sweet series without putting pressure on myself or the people involved.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have clear recordings without background noise.
- Meet deadlines and show dedication. If you are unable to send your lines on time please just tell me in advance - I will ALWAYS be understanding of your situation and give you an extension. If you forget to meet your new deadlines and leave me hanging for too long without provided reasoning I'll take that as a sign to replace you. I won't keep asking or send a dozen reminders, so please simply do not apply if you're not going to treat this project with respect.
- Show emotion, but do not try to have a whole academy award worthy moment when it isn't necessary! The general vibe of the series is meant to be chill and nonchalant. A lot of the dialogs will happen during leisure activities such as sunbathing, etc.
- You must be at least 18 years old to apply. There won't be any NSFW scenes, but profanity and mature topics will be included.
- Do at least 3 takes per line. The more I get to choose from the better!
- Improvise as much as you want! I want you to have fun with this and I'm always open to suggestions! Just make sure you also have takes of the lines as written originally.
Additional note: This should go without saying, but due to somewhat recent events within the sims machinima community I should mention that I will not tolerate any harassment towards fellow cast members. If I catch wind of anyone acting inappropriately behind the scenes I won't hesitate to replace them.
I'm currently looking for 4 voice actors to complete the main cast, but I will still need a bunch of extras and a few small roles so don't let that discourage you! Thank you so much for your time! Hope you consider Distorted Dreams! <3

Rey is somewhat the leader of the group. They're all going to his family's vacation home, so most of the responsibility (*stress) falls onto him. He is kindhearted and looks out for others, but he also likes to tease them and poke fun at their misfortunes to lighten the mood. While he does love spending time with his friends, he often looks for any excuse to get some needed alone time.
[jokingly annoyed/ unimpressed] "Wow. I specifically gave you the easiest task and you still blew it. You're officially banned from any future trips."
[deadpan/ tired] "It's late as hell. I've been driving all day. Can you guys get out of my room and theorize elsewhere?"
[amused/ laughing] "You don't talk much, but when you do it's pure gold!"

Ken's head is always in the clouds, constantly daydreaming of romantic gestures and experiences. He loves having a good time and often gets out of line, so the others have to remind him he isn't a little kid and that he needs to take accountability for his actions. He sees Reynaldo as his ride or die best buddy, but it's very one-sided. Ken is also Carina's ex-boyfriend, so him bringing his current partner, Madsen, to the trip may not have been a wise decision.
[friendly/ confused] "Oh hey, Ramona! How did you get here? I didn't see you on the plane before I got pushed off."
[flirty/ corny] "Are you sure you're not tired? You've been running through my mind all day."
[annoyed] "Whatever, just tell your psycho sister to get off my back."

Fanna is a no-nonsense type of person, who is very wise for her age. She is usually in a constant state of exhaustion due to her job and many hours of studying, so she plans on making this short vacation worth while. Her and Reynaldo have known each other the longest, but they do not appear to be as close anymore for some mysterious reason. Fanna is usually skeptical of anyone apart from her best friend, Carina.
[blunt] "I'm not going anywhere with him. I'm still traumatized by the poison ivy incident from last year."
[soft/ comforting] "If anything happens just say the word and I'll drive you home myself."
[shocked] "There's a WHAT inside the house?!?! Well, don't just stand there! Grab a net or something!"

Lola is Carina's unapologetic and eccentric younger sister. She doesn't really like any of Carina's friends and constantly butts heads with them, but she had nothing better to do at the time so she tagged along to make sure her big sis is okay. Lola has a very tough exterior and nobody really knows what lies beneath it.
[joking/ mocking] "She adores her. I'm pretty sure I can convince her to murder someone in Cara's honor...preferably Jean Pierre in the speedo over there."
[excited] "No way! They still make these?! I was obsessed with them as a kid!!"
[mocking/ sarcastic] "You're still here...? K, I'm sure this could be a very intellectually stimulating conversation, but I'm gonna go."
