Hey. Hi! Are you a Voice Actor and a fan of Webtoons. More specifically... the ghostly type? Well I think I have just the thing for you! I am the one that they call Driftu and I am directing a small non-profit fandub for the Webtoon... DEAD BUT NOT GONE!

Audition Rules!

Audio files must be as clean as possible! That means no reverb, no echo, or extra noises interfering with performance. As quiet as you can get it! If you are able to, use noise gate and noise reduction with your audio for a cleaner sound.

Make sure to send in auditions with the character name first, then your name at the end. Just so it's easier to keep track of the other people auditioning. (EX: Cam Lang_GRIMM).

Audio files must be an MP3! If you are auditioning through discord, do not use the voice memo feature as we will not look into your audition. Some people actually do that, so we are reminding you to not do so. Make sure to record it elsewhere on a different application or digital audio work face. (Free ones can be like Audacity, or Garage Band if you have an Apple device). Unless you have something different, use what works best for you!

Additionally, do not add special effects of any kind that you think would suit the scene. Like adding an echo or distortion effect. Just send it in as plain as possible!

In terms how many takes we prefer, go with what you feel is right! If you feel the need to do one take per line, that's fine as well! Some people like to use AABBCC format, which is essentially saying every line twice with a different feel to it for the variety.

    Hello! Wow, this... this is just incredible. Over ~140 Auditions as of the posting of this announcement.

    We are incredibly grateful to everyone for supporting this fandub, it's honestly a dream come true. This project began nearly three weeks ago. Three. And since then, this project has blown the hell up. I am thankful to everyone who auditioned and joined the Discord, I had such an amazing time meeting and speaking to all of you talented individuals. You have all been so amazing and supportive and I honestly can't thank you all enough.

    And truly, I could not have done this without the help of my Co-Director, my friends, and to everyone I met along the way. I am just so grateful, and I can't wait for production to begin!

    Anyway, with that being said! Down to business... Let's begin!

    Casting Progress Update

    This Sunday we will be releasing the Shortlist for the Male Roles on the DBNG Fandub Discord! If you are not already in the Discord, I suggest you do so because it is required for anyone who auditions as the Discord is the primary source for all updates, events, and announcements about casting and production! As for the Female Roles, the shortlist will be posted the week after!

    The Deadline for Auditions is September 18th! Which is approximately 3 weeks! If you are looking to audition, whether you have already or haven't yet, let this be a reminder to get them in before the deadline!

The Ghost Notoriously known for haunting Brian and his family’s newfound home.

Cam is a prankster, living—or rather… dying for a laugh! He’s snarky, witty, and EXTREMELY extroverted! However, be wary after all. Angering him could lead to your untimely fate just like he went through.


He is a mystery. But who can tell it apart from a warm, cheeky smile?

  • Scene 2: (Coming to conclusion) I guess this is what it means to be a ghost. Always watching, never seen. Like a spy... (Tone change, comedic realization) Or a pervert. (Explanatory tone) I didn't know how to use my powers before. But now I do. (Solemn-ish, Melancholic) I'm dead. But I'm not gone. (Slowly switch tones to Eager and confident) No more moping. From now on, I'm going to enjoy my ghost life. I'll play games whenever I want! I'll stay up all night! No one can stop me anymore! (switch back to the melancholic slowly) No one can hurt me anymore. (start switching to a more sinister tone) ...And if anyone tries to hurt me again... I'll make them regret it.

  • (Up to interpretation... good luck.) ...So you know how Mr. Ellis is always mad because nothing on his desk is ever where he leaves it? Well I decided to put him out his misery... and I'll make sure he'll always know exactly where everything is... (small cut forward) What's wrong, Mr. Ellis? Something stuck?

  • Scene 2: (Inquisitive, Brighter) Hey, is all that ghost stuff true? (Awkward-ish, Nervous) Okay, this might sound like, kinda weird. But I'm all into that supernatural stuff. (Explaining her hyperfixation) I watch all the paranormal investigation shows. It's just so cool. (Nervous, Pushing it off) Of course, That's if it's real. Just because I want it to be real doesn't mean it is. (Cheery, Inquisitive, Eager) I've got some ghost detecting stuff to pick up from home... but do you think I could come after school today?

  • Scene 2: (Coy, Somewhat Nervous, Think of nervous laughter) Loretta, you'd wound me. I'd never. (beat | think of scratching the back of your head kinda nervous, Energetic) Well, yes. But also, this house was a steal. (friendly explanatory tone) Well, apparently it's law that you have to disclose if someone in the house died when you sell it. (beat, playing off Loretta's dialogue) And people think it's bad luck to live somewhere that someone died. The price was rock bottom. (Brushing the death off) It was an accident. Some kid tripped and fell down the stairs or something.- Perfectly innocent. (Taken aback, offended, pleading?) Neither of you appreciate how hard I work! Always assuming the worst. (Presenting tone) Look at this wonderful home I got you! (Cheery, Unknowing) You don't believe in that nonsense, do you, Brian?
