DCS World Squadron campaign

DCS World Squadron campaign

Project Overview

Troll Squad: Mission 00 — Crossing the Line is a small, non-commercial voice project for a custom DCS World mission set in an alternate-history 1995 Caucasus campaign.

Troll Squad is a fictional private military air wing entering a new theater under contract. This first mission follows a tense deployment and escort operation involving carrier and land-based aircraft, a Georgian client, limited rules of engagement, and the possibility that a routine operation could become much more dangerous.

I’m looking for a small cast to replace stock radio calls with believable mission support: an AWACS/GCI controller, a JTAC/forward air controller, mission command, and future supporting radio roles. The goal is grounded military-fiction atmosphere—professional, concise radio traffic that makes the mission feel staffed by real people, not generic menu prompts.

This is an unpaid, credit-only fan project. Each role will have a manageable number of short lines, clear direction, and pronunciation/reference notes where needed. Experience with DCS or military aviation is welcome but not required; clear performance, communication, and a willingness to take direction matter most.

This project is not affiliated with Eagle Dynamics or DCS World. Submitted and final recordings will be used only in this mission and related Troll Squad showcase content—not for AI voice training, voice cloning, or synthetic voice generation.

Heimdall is Troll Squad’s AWACS/GCI controller: the watchful voice on the radio who sees trouble first, keeps pilots informed, and stays composed when the situation goes sideways.

Looking for a clear, believable military-radio performance—calm, concise, professional, and slightly human. This is not a broad “movie trailer” or robotic-AI voice. Routine calls should be measured; urgency should come through faster, more deliberate delivery rather than yelling.

The role involves short DCS-style tactical radio calls: contact reports, BRAA information, threat warnings, picture calls, and recommendations to friendly flights. Familiarity with military aviation or DCS is helpful but not required; direction and pronunciation notes will be provided.

Please submit clean, dry audio with no radio filter or effects. There will be a small number of short lines for this initial mission.

  • Fang One-One, Heimdall. New group, bearing zero-eight-five, three-one miles, angels one-six, hot. Two MiG-29s.

  • Fang One-One, recommend turn south. Current course will enter the estimated SA-10 engagement zone in forty-five seconds.

  • Fang One-One, immediate threat, twelve o’clock, nine miles. MiG-29. Commit or abort west.

Týr is Troll Squad’s forward air controller, working close to friendly ground forces and directing aircraft onto targets. The voice should sound focused, experienced, and calm under pressure—clear enough that a pilot could follow the instructions on the first pass.

Looking for a grounded military-radio performance: concise target descriptions, useful friendly-position warnings, and firm attack clearance when the situation allows. Urgency should be controlled and precise, never shouted or theatrical.

DCS or military-aviation familiarity is helpful but not required. Please submit clean, dry audio with no radio filter or effects; direction and pronunciation notes will be provided.

  • Target talk-on: “Fang One-One, Týr. Target is the armor column north of the smoke, moving south on the road.”

  • Friendly-position warning: “Friendlies are west of the road, two hundred meters from the target. Confirm visual.”

  • Attack clearance: “Fang One-One, Týr. You are cleared hot.”
