Project Overview
Days of Us is an upcoming visual novel game. It is LGBTQ+ friendly dating sim about the MC, 18 and fresh out of college trying to work out what comes next. It comes with plenty of customisation, choices that matter, and a diverse cast of characters.
I have a billion and one features I plan to implement, such as a working personality tracker that takes into consideration the player's choices.
However, I have, so far, been working on this project solo. And, as it turns out, working full-time while also being a self-published author working on her 4th book, and a few other projects does not leave a lot of time to code and develop this passion project.
(Also I have no art skills to speak of).
This is, as of yet, an unpaid project. However, depending on how well it does, I'm hoping we will all get something out of it.
There are a variety of roles I'm looking to find someone for, so just take a look!

Artist
Looking for someone to design a handful of backgrounds for the game, eg beaches, parks, houses, cafe's etc.

I am looking for someone who is good with character design to bring these little fellas in my brain to life.
Each character will need a variety of facial expressions shown, and a few other things.
I have used a free OC creator app I found to design what I want them to look like, but I am open to interpretation and suggestions.

I am looking for a handful of co-writers to help me with the script writing of it all. Editing comes with the territory, although I will always have the final say.
I just need some co-writers for now, to help me bounce around ideas. But eventually, I'm hoping to have one or two writers dedicated to each route in the game (dedicated to a specific love interest, shall we say).

I am looking for someone to run dedicated social media accounts dedicated to the game's development.
This would include posting updates about the game, teasers, answering questions, and just anything else that gets the players excited for the release.

Voice Actor
Leo is the MC's best friend and a possible romantic interest. He is around 18 years old.
He is a bit of a geek and an author who is working on his first novel, although he refuses to reveal what the novel is about to anyone.
Leo is quiet and softly spoken. Not super manly, but also not feminine. He tries to come across cool, but is actually just a big goofball.
His voice should soften when speaking to his close friends, and his crush Clementine.
(Amused) "Don't forget us when you're a big Hollywood star, will you?"
(Nervous) "Uhh, would you be, uhm, interested in me? I mean- THAT. Would you be interested in THAT? Going with me, I mean. To see the, uh, movie?"
(Upset) "You and Elle ALWAYS do this. You run off with your own lives and your own dreams and leave me in the dust. Just admit it. I'm a nobody to you. Always have been... always will be."

Ellie is the MC's best friend. She is around 18 years old.
Ellie is a party girl and aspiring actress. She comes across confident and, perhaps, a bit shallow. However she is always there for the people she loves, and her life isn't as perfect as it seems...
Her voice should be loud and, well, like a performer's. She likes to see the funny side in things and usually sounds very happy and carefree.
(Holding back excitement) "So, this is no ordinary visit. For I come bearing news... Duh duh duh duuuuuuuuh!"
"I'm afraid I can't really help you in the boredom department. I'm heading to the library to get started on my portfolio. You can come with me, if you want. Get started on your.... whatever you're doing."
(Upset, but trying to hide it) "Oh, it's okay. There's plenty more where that came from. And besides, I had you and Leo there to watch me. Who else do I need?"

Clementine is an usher who works at the cinema and a potential love interest. She is 18 years old.
Clem is a shy, quiet girl. She is very loving and caring of those close to her, but struggles to join in with large groups.
Her voice should be softly spoken and polite. She gets a little louder when speaking to people she trusts, like the MC and Leo.
(Shy, but bold) "Hi Leo. I was looking for you the other night. It was the last showing of 'Quantum Dreams'. I figured you wouldn't wanna miss it..."
(Teasing) "I saw you flirting over there. You can't hide from me, Leo Hoffman. And besides... she's cute."
(Sad) "I'm never noticed. Too quiet, too shy, too... little. People always just want more."

Ren is a batista at the local café and a potential love interest. He is 19 years old.
Ren is a calm, yet quite secretive young man. He works at The Sweet Bean and is always very polite, yet blunt. He shows little emotion and little interest in whoever speaks to him.
His voice should be of the lower register and manage to show emotion in an emotionless tone. Think Jeremy from XOXO Droplets, but lower toned.
(Indifferent) "FRIENDS is a strong word. I... KNOW him."
(Quietly amused) "So, you came all this way, followed me around for two hours, and then finally decided to come over to... what? Order a coffee? I don't think so."
(Starting to get angry) "You don't know me. So stop pretending you do. You don't GET this. You don't GET me. You're just some nobody who decided to stick their nose where it wasn't wanted. Back. Off."

Blake is a lifeguard and a potential love interest. He is 20 years old.
Blake is a harmless, good hearted young man. He is very clumsy and not that great at his job, but his heart is in the right place. He is the definition of puppy dog energy, although he thinks he's very suave.
"Hey, hey, hey. Welcome to the beach! Are you new around here? Wait, of course you're not. You definitely wouldn't have come here as a tourist attraction. Unless you liked sand. And naked middle-aged men. There's a lot of those. Sorry, I'm rambling. I'm- COMING DAD! I'm Blake. See you 'round."
(Sad, but pretending he isn't) "I just- I need to try harder next time. Yeah, that's it. I'll try harder and everything will be better."
(Flirty) "Hey, you. I'm glad you came. I've been waiting for you. Well, not waiting, like, in a stalker way. Just general waiting. For you."

Ivy is a student studying medicine and a potential love interest. She is 17 years old.
Ivy is Blake's ditzy, oblivious younger sister. She is adamant she can make it as a doctor (she can't). She genuinely doesn't realise it when she makes mistakes or gets in trouble.
"My name's Ivy. I'm gonna be big one day. Like huge. Like, well, you get it."
(Tired) "Gina means well, she just doesn't wear her kindness on her face."
(Angry) "You ALWAYS try to upstage me. You just can't bear me being the centre of attention for once."

Aria is a dance student and a potential love interest. She is 18 years old.
Channel your inner Rarity when voicing her. She comes off as posh, stuck up, and quite bitchy, but that changed as you get to know her.
"Oh, hello. Are you looking for me? Well, I'm busy, so, take it up with my agent."
(Calm) "You know you don't have to try so hard, right? I'm all bark, no bite. Calm down."

Samuel is a bit of a snob and has a massive ego. That's all I can really say about him right now. He is a good person deep down, so add some depth to his voice if you can.
"Why would I waste my time eating your food when I can just go home and make my own?.... Yes, I bake. Don't look too surprised."

Gaja (pronounced Gah-Ja) is an escape room leader and a potential love interest. She is 20 years old.
Gaja is cool, confident, and rebellious. She has green hair and tattoos. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.
"Hey guys, welcome to my little slice of heaven. Ready to get your puzzle on? There's a bunch of rooms to choose from. Pick any. I have my favourites, but I won't spoil it for you."
(Amused) "Are you trying to... ask me out?"

Risha is a librarian and English Literature student. She is a potential romance option and is 18 years old.
Risha is still in early development, but she is calm, quiet, and slightly mysterious. She is also very clever. She should speak in a middle to low tone, always speaking with a hushed voice.
"That's my favourite. They both die at the end."
(Shocked) "I... didn't think you'd noticed me. Honestly. You probably thought I was just there to keep you quiet. Which... wouldn't exactly be wrong."

Gina is a student in medicine and Ivory's best friend (and protector). She is 18 years old.
Gina can be quite blunt and can come off as rude, but there's a heart deep, deep down somewhere. She pretends like Ivory is an inconvenience, but she genuinely does care for her.
(Angry and impatient) "Well, I know that's a bunch of BS because THAT man over there said he saw her buying a skirt from your stall.... USELESS!!"
(Annoyed) "Look, Ivory is clever. She is. I never said she wasn't. She just doesn't know what kind of clever she is. It's my job to help her find out."

Harvey is a 43 year old single dad of 2 (Blake and Ivy). He owns the beach club, which he runs with his son. He doesn't always understand his children, but he tries his best to be there for them.
Harvey speaks with a low, tired voice.
"Hey, kid. What can I get ya?"
(Angry) "Blake! How many more times do I have to tell you? Honestly, the brains on you two. I don't know what happened when you were born, but I'm sure you conked heads."
(Sad/tired) "Look... I didn't mean to lie. But you know what life is like. Things get in the way and you lose track of what you should or shouldn't do. I didn't mean any harm."
Voice Actor
The Main Character's mum. She is a kind, caring person to begin with, but the direction she takes all depends on the player's choices. A very moldable character.
Open to interpretations on her voice, but should be a feminine mid 30's sound.
(Annoyed) "Get up, Casey! Honestly, you've been asleep for hours!"
(Sad, but trying not to show it) "Julian, I just... I thought I could trust you. Apparently I was wrong. I'll learn from my mistake next time."
(Excited) "Daniela! Oh my God! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"
