Darkwing Duck Boom Studios Comics - Issue #1
Project Overview
Boom! Studios's Darkwing Duck comic series was originally to be a four-part mini-series and was announced on March 13, 2010, at the Emerald City Comic-Con. Due to positive fan reaction Boom! Studios chose to extend it to an on-going, with the mini-series, "The Duck Knight Returns", comprising the on-going's first story arc. The series came to an end in 2011 and was picked up in 2015 by Joe Books to be continued.
Hello and welcome to the project page! This is a call for the Darkwing Duck Boom Studios series of comics, specifically Issue #1. I would love to do at least Issues #1-5, it just depends on if I am able to get the full cast I would need, so I will start with this one. Here are a few notes for auditioning:
A clean recording with little to no background noise is expected. Either a USB or XLR mic is fine, but please record in a quiet space with nothing going on in the background; I want to hear your clear and wonderful voice!
Audition for as many characters as you'd like! Keep in mind that you might only be cast for one. If you are open to playing Extra characters aside from the character you audition for that appear in future issues, please let me know.
Please list your Discord with your audition, as there will be a server for the cast to send in lines and for project updates.
Best of luck! :D

Drake Mallard is the not-so-mild-mannered alter-ego of St. Canard's resident superhero Darkwing Duck and the titular protagonist of the animated TV series of the same name. He is also the adoptive father of the orphaned Gosalyn Waddlemeyer. He made his debut along with Gosalyn in The Disney Afternoon title sequence in 1990. He is loosely based on DC Comics superhero Batman. He is egotistical and short-tempered, but cares deeply about the well-being of his family.

(Drake Mallard; To himself; confidently) Not a problem. In my crimefighting days I would do a workout that makes Quackwerks HQ and its 300 floors seem like high school gym class!
(Drake Mallard; To Gosalyn; depresed, tired) What does a Data Accounts Networking Officer do? I don't know, Gosalyn. I don't know.
(Darkwing; heroic) I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the awkward goodbye, that lasts for far too long. I am Darkwing Duck!
A pilot and a lovable doofus, Launchpad McQuack may seem absent-minded, but he is a valuable and loyal sidekick to Darkwing Duck, despite often irritating DW with his ignorance. He is a gentle giant who isn't afraid to protect the ones he cares about.

(annoyed when hearing nothing on the phone line) Hey, got anything better to do than bothering a guy at work? Sheesh. Some people.
(slow realization into surprise) I guess I did want a brighter future for myself. But I didn't think going forward in time we'd see St. Canard, or maybe the whole world, become Planet of the Launchpads!
(panicked) D.W. , the Liquidator's used the cold snap to make beings of pure ice!
Gosalyn Mallard (born Gosalyn Waddlemeyer) is the adopted daughter of Drake "Darkwing Duck" Mallard. Much of the show is based on Drake and Gosalyn's father-daughter relationship. Gosalyn is shown to be an spirited, cute, spunky, athletic and tomboyish 9-year-old girl who often gets into trouble. She is very bright and often finds loopholes within her own promises allowing her to get her own way. Her wit is just as quick and acerbic as her adoptive father's, and she is often brave to the point of foolhardiness. She is also forthright and honest with her friends and idolizes her father.

Dad, you wouldn't believe it! The teachers are really working for supervillains!
So everyone settles down and gets a job like that? Like how you're a...a...(Drake over the phone: "...Data Accounts Networking officer." She responds,) Yeah, whatever THAT is.
You could do that...or you could let Darkwing Duck take care of this!
Megavolt, civilian name Elmo Sputterspark, is an anthropomorphic rat who possesses the power of electrokinesis.
He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta. His voice also resembles that of one of Castellaneta's Simpsons characters, Krusty the Clown. Megavolt is a member of the Fearsome Five and occasionally teams up with Quackerjack as a duo.

(frustrated) Adventures? What do you, a common citizen, know about adventures? (shift to calm) Now help me with this report on Quackwerks's furniture, nail clipper, and supply earnings. It's due in two hours.
(whilst being suddenly kidnapped) Edison's Sake!
What's going on? What MORON thinks they can kidnap one of St. Canard's greatest villains?
Herbert "Honker" Muddlefoot Jr. is a supporting character from the Darkwing Duck series, voiced by Katie Leigh. He is 9 years old, shy, brainy, and Gosalyn's best friend. Honker is the younger son of Herb and Binkie Muddlefoot, and his older brother is Tank. He doesn't have more than this line for this issue, but appears occasionally in other issues.

Gosalyn, robots don't need hats.
Um...Hello? I think there's been a misunderstanding.
What's going on? What's this cell? What's that chair?!
The crimebots are robotic police officers introduced to St. Canard by the Quackwerks Corporation. They are marketed as a benevolent force that will protect the population against the many ill-meaning elements making the city unsafe with more efficiency than the police, SHUSH, and Darkwing Duck have ever been capable of.
NOTE: PLEASE do not add a robotic filter/voice effect to your audition. Your acting comes first!!
Honker Muddlefoot! You are hereby arrested by the power invested in us by the Quackwerks corporation with the city of St. Canard!
Attacker detected!
And so we commemorate the one-year anniversary of "The Starducks Caper", the last known adventure of St. Canard's masked avenger, Darkwing Duck!
Attention Quackwerks employee group 421! There is a meeting on Floor 142! The meeting starts at 2:41! Attendance is mandatory!
Quackerjack used to be the owner of a toy company, Quackerjack Toys, until the competition killed his products. Especially the rise of videogames harmed Quackerjack Toys sales. This turn of events drove the toy maker mad and onto the criminal path, through which he could continue his company outside of rules and regulations. He will play a very big role in Issue #2 and going forward for the first story arc.

(coy) That's just it, Sparky. You're only one of St. Canard's greatest villains.
(menacing) Oh, these toys aren't meant to be played with. They blow up buildings.
(escalating in violent aggression) Never! Ever! Say! THAT! NAME!!
The typical bossy supervisor. Only seen in this issue.

Mallard! Where's that report that was due five minutes ago?
I'm not paying you to daydream! It's not even daytime anyway. It's closing time! Go Home!

The Quackwerks crimebots, while thorough in their mission to clean up St. Canard, will soon receive upgrades.

Hey, did you see that report today on that old superhero that used to protect St. Canard?
His name was Duck-man, wasn't it? Good ol' Duck-man!
