Synopsis
Danganronpa: Bloodstained Abyss follows Charlotte Ashfield, the Ultimate Lucky Student, who finds herself trapped in a strange, unfamiliar school located at the bottom of the ocean on her first day at Hope's Peak Academy.
Charlotte, along with her teacher and 9 other classmates, is told that the only way to escape from the school is to murder a fellow participant and get away with it in a class trial, overseen by the Ultimate Prosecutor, Gaia Calanthe.
Will it be possible for Charlotte to escape the killing game in one piece and discover the truth of the situation, or will she die trying...?
Video Format
This project will follow a voice drama format, following the protagonist, Charlotte Ashfield. Weekly episodes of the series will be posted on the project's official YouTube channel (linked above) on a chapter-by-chapter basis, with interlude episodes in-between each chapter showcasing the lost memories of the killing game's participants.
The side cast will be making their appearances during these aforementioned interlude episodes, as well as making a few brief cameos during the main chapters on occasion!
Audition Information
It is greatly preferred that auditions are submitted in a AABBCC format, but not required!
Due to the contents of the project, it's preferred that anyone who auditions is 16 or over.
Please include your Discord handle with your audition or make sure that it is available on your profile so that I'm able to contact you in case you get casted; All of the communication for the project is done on Discord, so it is a requirement.
Additionally, if possible, please join the Casting Server (linked above)! It makes it much easier to get in touch with both me, as well as any other people who have auditioned who can give you feedback and suggestions for your audition.

FAQ
"Why are all of the character icons placeholders?"
At the moment, progress on making the sprites for the side cast has only just begun. Throughout the course of the casting call's duration, I'll be going through and gradually updating each role with their sprites as I complete them. Due to spoilers, though, they will still be kept as the characters' silhouettes after the icons are updated.
"Isn't it pretty early to be casting the side characters?"
Things have been thought out thoroughly and it's been determined that now is a good time to open the casting call! Also, scripts will very likely be ready by the time the casting call's duration is over, so rest assured, you won't have to wait long to record if you do get casted!
Voice Actor Expectations
Danganronpa: Bloodstained Abyss will cover a number of heavy topics, including but not limited to:
Depictions of blood, gore and character death,
Cursing, course language, screaming and crying, et cetera,
Discussions and depictions of abuse,
And other potentially sensitive topics.
Please do not audition if you are comfortable with these subjects.
Additionally, the following should be considered:
Due to the Voice Drama format of this project, a LOT of recording is expected. Additionally, this project will likely take a long time to produce, so please do not audition if you are not prepared to be in it for the long haul, and record lots.
Some of the roles shown vary in when they make their first appearances, with some of them only making their first appearances towards the end of the series. As a result, there may be a rather long wait before you are able to record for the character. Further clarification will be given upon casting!
Audio and microphone quality will play a large factor in casting. Please ensure that your recordings are as high quality as possible.
Voice Actors are expected to preferably be as active and passionate as possible! A project of this caliber requires a lot of time, effort and passion to be put into it, so please make sure to give it your all! Thank you!

Teri is a former student at Hope's Peak Academy, who's known amongst their classmates for coming off as aloof and mysterious, usually keeping to themself and rarely ever engaging in conversation with anyone outside their close friend group. Upon further inspection, it seems that Teri might have a rather interesting past... Sometimes, it even seems like they're perhaps planning something.
Teri's voice should be of a medium pitch, and sound soft and gentle while ever-so-slightly eerie. Teri's voice should also be as androgynous as possible, as they are agender!

"Alright then... it's a promise. Please, don't let this be in vain, alright...?" (soft-spoken but serious tone)
Finn is a former student at Hope's Peak Academy. Compared to his incredibly eccentric classmates, Finn often comes off as rather relaxed and unassuming, tending to be the voice of reason in conversations. However, due to his rather extensive knowledge and talent for creating art, he can be rather irritable whenever someone makes an incorrect assertion about his craft, to the point it may come off as ever-so-slightly pretentious.
Finn's voice should be masculine and of a medium pitch, as well as pretty grounded, relaxed and casual tone most of the time. On occasion, though, he can sometimes come off as irritable or blunt and matter-of-fact, which should be conveyed in his voice as well.

Darcy is a former student at Hope's Peak Academy. Upon meeting her, she always makes a rather bold first impression, coming off as rather scrappy, with the occasional tendency to adopt a salesman-like persona. Darcy always makes full use of her talent as the Ultimate Gemologist, and she can best described as reminiscent of a sleazy businessman, always trying to barter and make business with everyone. Despite this, though, she's very earnest and trustworthy, and those she's done business with before only ever have positive things to say about her.
Darcy's voice should be feminine and high-pitched, sounding rather raspy and gravelly with a tomboyish tone to it. Furthermore, her voice should sound both expressive and energetic, as well as occasionally sly and sleazy.

Sara is a former student at Hope's Peak Academy. She's incredibly proficient at all things related to fortune-telling, be it using tarot cards, palm reading, or astrology to gaze into the future. Because of this, she tends to act rather sly and knowing, as if she's always a few steps ahead of everyone. Even though she can seem almost manipulative at times, though, she ultimately is incredibly generous and is always looking out for others.
Sara's voice should be feminine and of a low-medium pitch, with a slightly airy quality to it. She should sound knowing, captivating and somewhat sly at times. A black VA would be preferred for this role, but all auditions are welcome!

Callahan is a former student at Hope's Peak Academy, who always comes off as incredibly antisocial and introverted. He often dislikes being in busy public spaces and having to interact with people, and he makes sure to always make that known, acting somewhat blunt, brash and dry during conversations. In more relaxed settings, though, such as a one-on-one conversation, he's much more soft-spoken and relaxed, but still retains his characteristic bluntness.
Callahan's voice should be masculine and incredibly low-pitched, as well as gravelly and husky. He tends to speak in an incredibly blunt and dry manner, which should be reflected in his voice. On rare occasions, though, he's noticeably more soft-spoken and gentle.

Primrose is a passionate girl aspiring to become the Ultimate Model, as well as the younger sister of Mathias Fisher, the Former Ultimate Boxer. Prim is the absolute epitome of all things pink and feminine, as seen through the way she speaks and presents herself. She's a gyaru who'll stop at absolutely nothing to achieve her dream, with a level of determination and fiery passion that's completely unmatched. Despite her passion for fashion making her come off as somewhat brash at times, she's ultimately an incredibly sweet girl's girl who's always willing to hang out and chat.
Prim's voice is feminine and of a medium-high pitch, with an ever-so-slight tomboyish quality to it. She's very passionate to the point it comes off as brash, but she's still rather grounded, which should be reflected in her voice.

Ellie is the adoptive daughter of Mathias Fisher, the Former Ultimate Boxer. Compared to Prim's overwhelming passion, Ellie is much more reserved and mellowed out, not yet having figured out what to do in the future. Still, she's very gentle and kind, always going out of her way to support and help others in need unconditionally; sometimes, she's selfless to a fault.
Ellie's voice should be feminine and high-pitched, and should sound warm, youthful and gentle. Ellie is also very thoughtful and considerate of her words, which should be reflected through her line deliveries.

Sage is a former Ultimate, the father of Diane Bellerose, and a close friend of Mathias Fisher's. Despite the difficulties he's faced in the past, Sage consistently does his best to maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanour. However, it's clear that he's grown somewhat weary over time, often finding the rapid passage of time difficult to keep up with. Still, for the sake of his family and friends, he insists on doing his hardest.
Sage's voice should be of a low-medium pitch, sounding relaxed, gentle and friendly most of the time. On occasion though, depending on the circumstances, his voice may become more hesitant and weary or somewhat serious.
