Cross Entertainment's Danganronpa 2 Fandub

Project Overview

What is Danganronpa 2 About?
The sequel to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a murder-mystery visual novel created by Kazutaka Kodaka and Spike Chunsoft.

What is the plot?
Abducted from their school and held prisoner on a deserted island by a psychotic... teddy bear, sixteen high school students, each with their own ultimate-level talent, are told that the only way they may leave the island is to get away with murdering one of their peers! Any time a murder occurs, the survivors must investigate the murder and then participate in a "Class Trial" to determine who the killer is. If the killer is exposed by the end of the trial, he or she is executed and the survivors must remain on the island. But if the killer get away with it, he or she is allowed to leave and everyone else gets executed! Who will live? Who will die? What mysteries does this island hold?

That's all well and good, but what about this casting call?
We will be dubbing the first class trial. We will likely do the other trials (at least some of them) in the future, but right now, the first one is the only guarantee. I will be posting the trials on my Youtube account (but if I run into any copyright problems, I'll begin posting them elsewhere). I currently have the first half of the trial's script finished and I'll finish the second half before I choose the cast list.

What do I need to know?
First off, I'm only asking for voice actors/actresses, not writers or editors. I will take care of the behind the scenes stuff. Second, you don't HAVE to see/play Danganronpa 2 before taking part in this, but I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. If nothing else, you should probably see the class trials since that's what we'll be dubbing. Third, those who DO know about the game may notice one role missing from the casting call: Hajime Hinata, the main protagonist. That's because I will be providing his voice. The main reason I chose to voice Hajime myself was because I wanted to be a part of the dub and I figured I could voice Hajime better than I could voice any of the other characters (although I did strongly consider voicing Nagito).  Fourthly, I will only cast one person for each character. Feel free to audition for as many characters as you want, but you will only end up getting one. I won't be one of those people who presents 17 characters and has 14 of them voiced by the same guy! Lastly, while I am looking for specific voices for some (if not most) of the characters, don't think you have to sound EXACTLY like the official VA. I always hated when people do that in fandubs. I want the VAs to meat the criteria to an extent, but I also want them to try and make the character their own!

Is there anything I need?

  1. - A good mic. You shouldn't sound muffled or staticy.

  2. - Discord. So we can communicate.

  3. - A good attitude. If we're all going to work together, we should all try to get along.

Once the deadlines comes, I'll post my final decision of who will be voicing whom. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Good luck and have fun!

  • The Results Are In!

Okay, so I'm going to be straight with you all: I made my final decision a few days ago, but I wanted to reveal the cast list with the video I'm working on. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble with the video (mostly with doing my own lines because I'm a bit out of practice). I'm still going to make the video and post it on my youtube channel, but I figured you all have waited long enough. So without any further delay, here is my final decision: Monokuma: DonkeyDude Monomi: NovemberGin27 Nagito Komaeda: Sinyuvuu Mikan Tsumiki: Quietlly Akane Owari: Novanator Kazuichi Soda: TheBurningFaith Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: AzurePhoenix Mahiru Koizumi: MondoButter Teruteru Hanamura: SuperStatix Chiaki Nanami: KysaraGii Hiyoko Saionji: Redpandamonium Nekomaru Nidai: BlueBadger Ibuki Mioda: PaisJane Gundham Tanaka: AkiSmashVA Peko Pekoyama: InsomniaVA Sonia Nevermind: KissFromTheShadows Byakuya Togami: Allen the Ultimate Gamer (off site audition) I will contact you all very soon. As for everybody else, thank you so much for your amazing auditions. All of your talents made this a very hard choice for me, so please don't feel discouraged if you didn't get picked. Stay tuned for the release of the Cross Entertainment Danganronpa 2 Fandub (Note to self: think of a shorter name)!
  • CASTING CALL OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!!

It's been 30 days since I first began this project and since then, there have been 250 auditions from dozens of different people. I cannot believe how many of you auditioned and I can't thank you all enough! As for me, now comes the hard part... choosing the cast list. Just so you all know, just because one audition might have more up-votes than another, that doesn't mean I'll completely disregard the one with less votes. There have been a couple of lower-scored auditions that I really liked and even from the start, I planned to go through all of the auditions (granted, I didn't think there would be 250 of them, but I want to do this right). How long will it take to make my final decision? I don't know. Maybe a few hours. Maybe a few days. I want to get it finished as soon as I can, but this isn't the only project I'm working on and I'm not being timed or graded on this one. :/ Once I've made my final decision, I will post one more update revealing the cast list. I will also create a YouTube video for the cast which I will also link in this CCC page. Now then, this is where your work ends... and my work begins!
  • Update 2: Nagito and Trial 6

I know I just posted an update a couple of days ago, but there are a couple more things that I feel the need to talk about: First of all, I want to talk about the role of Nagito Komaeda. I feel like I should say more about this character and what being casted to voice him would mean for his actor. Nagito's role as far as the game goes is that he's basically the main character's rival. He's usually one of the most vocal people during the class trials and often acts as both the biggest help and the biggest hindrance. If I were to rank the characters by their importance to the story, Nagito would definitely be in the top 3: Along with Hajime Hinata (the protagonist) and Chiaki Nanami. Why say all of this? For lack of a better term, it's a friendly warning to everyone who auditioned for him, plans to audition for him, and whomever I eventually end up casting. Nagito is a huge role to play, and not an easy one. In the very first trial, he has more lines than any of the other characters; even more than the protagonist or the trial's culprit (spoiler alert, Nagito is not the culprit of the first trial). Aside from all of that, Nagito's VA will also be required to voice another character if we end up doing all 6 trials. The main character from the first game (Makoto Naegi) makes an appearance during the final trial. If you're casted as Nagito, you'll be asked to voice Makoto as well. I know I said one person can only voice one character, but there's a specific reason for this. It would take a long time to explain right here, but suffice it to say that Makoto and Nagito need to have the same voice for the sake of... tradition. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not trying discourage anyone from auditioning for Nagito, nor am I trying to make anyone regret auditioning for him. I just want you to know everything that will come with the role. Speaking of the 6th trial, I don't know if we'll end up doing all 6 trials (I don't even know if we'll end up doing more than 1). But if we do, then there are a few things you all might want to hear. A) For everyone who will get casted: Even if your character ends being killed at some point during the story, you're character will still make an appearance in Trial 6; albeit a small one. Everyone who died has at least 1 line in this trial; some have more than that. So even if your character dies, that doesn't mean you're done. (Did that sound threatening? I hope not!) B) For whoever gets casted to voice Byakuya: You may only have a couple of lines in Trial 1 and no lines during Trials 2-5, You will have a several lines during Trial 6. I won't say why (for spoiler reasons), but if we end up making it that far, you will have your chance to shine! C) For everyone who doesn't get a role: If we do end up making it to Trial 6, I will start another casting call for 2 characters who appear only in that trial. In other words, even if you don't get casted this time, there's still a possibility you'll get casted later on! But... there's a catch: There will only be two roles available and they're both female roles. In other words, only women (and high-voiced men) will be able to get casted later. So if you're a man with a low voice, I apologize in advance! And... that's about it. I'll let you guys know if anything comes up or if there is more info I forgot to share. Until then, I look forward to hearing more from you Ultimates!
  • Update 1

It's been almost three weeks since the casting call opened and since then, I've received nearly 200 auditions from several incredible VAs and one terrible one! So even though I probably should've posted this update sooner, I figured I should say a few things: 1) I was just joking, there were no terrible voice actors/actresses! I was just trying to mess with your heads a little bit. 2) Just to make sure you all understand, while I did post the official VA for each character in their description, you don't have to sound exactly like that person. For example, Monokuma. His VA in the games is Brian Beacock, but if you want, you could try sounding like the Greg Ayres version or you could put your own spin on the character. The official voice in the descriptions are more of a reference than anything else; the character is yours to do with as you please. 3) I just started my spring semester of college, so I'm going to be putting my studies ahead of everything else. What does that mean for this project? Nothing much. If anything, it just means that I might be a bit slow in posting the fandub online when the time comes and I might end up extending the deadline a few more days. But rest assured, I'm definitely not cancelling it! 4) As I've said before, you're free to audition for as many characters as you want (even though nobody will get more than one role). This also means that you're free to retry an audition if you want. For example: if you read 2) from this update and want to try a different voice for a character, or if there is some other reason you may want to retry, you're free to do so. Just make sure you clarify that you are retrying a character and if there is an audition you want me to disregard. 5) People have been asking me about giving them feedback on their auditions. I've begrudgingly decided not to do so for two reasons: First, there are over nearly 200 auditions. Posting a response for each one would take a lot of time that I don't have. Second, while everyone has done great so far, there are some auditions I like more than others. I don't want to post feedback on one of my favorite auditions and end up unnecessarily discouraging someone else. So feel free to give each other feedback, but I'm afraid I won't be able to give any. I wish the best of luck to anyone who still plans on auditioning and I look forward to getting the cast together and getting started!

Role assigned to: donkeydude

Monokuma is the self-proclaimed Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy.

On the surface, Monokuma is somewhat laid-back, goofy, and even comical, especially with his innocent-sounding "Puhuhuhu" laugh. But despite his teddy bear-esque appearance, Monokuma is incredibly cruel and sadistic. He takes great joy in the suffering and despair of the students and has the power to keep them from resisting. Few people ever cross his path, even fewer live to talk about it...

His official English voice actor is Brian Beacock.
Monokuma's voice should be high, having a laid-back, almost goofy feel to it. The character is technically male, but ladies are free to audition for him as well

  • [Explaining] Now then, let's begin with a basic explanation of the class trial. During the class trial, you will present your arguments for who the killer is, and vote for "whodunnit" ("who done it"). If you vote correctly, then only the blackened will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong person... I'll punish everyone BESIDES the blackened, and that person will earn the right to leave this island!

  • [Impatient] Can you hurry up and decide who's the blackened already? Time runs out when I get bored!

  • [Make it big] Let's give it everything we've got! IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME!!!

Monomi is the alleged teacher of the Ultimate students.

Unlike Monokuma, Monomi is very kind-hearted and sweet. She wants nothing more than for her students to get along, nourishing love and hope. On very rare occasions, she can lose her cherub-like demeanor, but not very often. Most of her time is spent either trying to forge bonds between the Ultimates or crying at her own helplessness as Monokuma does what he wants.

Her official English voice actress is Rebecca Forstadt.
Like Monokuma, Monomi's voice should sound high and almost playful. Unlike Monokuma, her voice should sound more syrupy-sweet and cheerful.

  • [Angry] Is she right? Such a hateful bear! You deserve to die a thousand deaths!

  • I'm Monomi, and my heart is throbbing like crazy right now.

  • Do your best, don't lose to yourself, and don't forget to save regularly!

Nagito Komaeda is the Ultimate Lucky Student.

Nagito initially comes across as friendly and warm; trying to bring the group together and being generally optimistic. But during the First Class Trial, Nagito reveals a much more twisted side to himself. Nagito has a crazed obsession with hope (believing it to be an absolute good) and expresses how he is more than willing to kill or die for the sake of hope. He appears to love and practically worship his Ultimate classmates and he despises himself, believing himself to be worthless and insignificant. During the class trials, he tends to act as both the biggest help and the biggest hindrance.

His official English voice actor is Bryce Papenbrook.

Nagito's voice should be somewhere around mid-range and sound somewhat raspy. He should sound like someone you would inherently want to trust.

Nagito Komaeda: Nah-Gee-Toh Kom-Eye-Aye-Da

  • [Introduction] I'm Nagito Komaeda. Nice to meet you.

  • [Maniacal laugh] HA HA HA HAAA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (Happily crazed) The ultimates are working together to combat the despair of their friend's death! How wonderful! How beautiful, it is!

  • [Distraught] Meaninglessness. What word is brimming with so much despair? [Hopeful] But you can't give up! You need to have hope, do your best, and move forward! Rising to the challenge again and again is why you guys are the symbols of hope!

Mikan Tsumiki is the Ultimate Nurse.

Mikan is an extremely meek, paranoid and fragile individual who suffers from hazardously low self-esteem as a result of severe bullying. This has resulted in many behavioral symptoms such as being easily intimidated, breaking down and crying with little provocation, profusely apologizing and nervously stuttering while speaking. She constantly worries about annoying, boring or offending others. When she first arrived at Jabberwock Island, she wasn't used to people being nice to her; despite the fact that not everyone is...

Her official English voice actress is Stephanie Sheh.
Mikan's tone should be quiet and soft spoken. She should sound timid when she speaks, like you could sneeze and it would frighten her.

Mikan Tsumiki: Mee-C-On Soo-Mee-Kee

  • [Introduction] M-my name is Mikan Tsumiki. Umm... From the bottom of my heart, I hope we can get along.

  • Based on the entry wounds on Byakuya's body, the actual weapon should be roughly five millimeters in diameter...

  • [Outburst] BY THE WAY, I'M NOT A TRASHY SKANK!

Akane Owari is the Ultimate Gymnast.

Akane has a fiery personality and tends to act before she thinks. She is extremely fond of food and she can eat almost anything. She claims that food is the most important thing, because "If you don't eat, you'll die." This is likely due to her constantly starving as a child. She seems to think that punching things is the best way to solve problems. She is eager to challenge someone to fight her and she respects those who are physically strong.

Her official English voice actress is Wendee Lee.

Akane's should have more of a mid-low to low voice. She should be able to sound clueless at some times and confident at other times.

Akane Owari: Ah-Kah-N-Ay Oh-Wah-Ree

  • [Introduction] Yo! The name's Akane Owari. Nice to meetcha!

  • [Done with this sh*t] What a pain, I'm gonna go with my gut... What if they used a light?

Kazuichi Soda is the Ultimate Mechanic.

Kazuichi is a highly emotional character, though he tries to play it smooth and acts carefree at first. He is a very jumpy person, easily scared and often screaming in fear. People tend to note his scary appearance does not match his compulsive and cowardly personality. Kazuichi also likes girls a lot, though in a rather perverted and shallow way. He has taken a strong liking to Sonia, to an extent of being a pervert, somewhat stalker-like and appears jealous of Gundham; whom Sonia has shown her affection for. But despite having some weird quirks, Kazuichi is described as the straight man and one of the more ordinary students in the group.

His official English voice actor is Kyle Hebert.

I'm not really looking for anything specific here, but Kazuichi's emotions can change on a dime, so his voice actor should be able to show different emotions while speaking.

Kazuichi Soda: Kah-Zoo-Ee-Chee Soh-Dah

  • [Introduction] Name's Kazuichi Soda. I'm the Ultimate Mechanic. Nice to meet ya!

  • That seals it. The killer is whoever was in the office with the circuit-breaker. [Raise your voice] Which means it's you, Peko Pekoyama!

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu is the Ultimate Yakuza.

Fuyuhiko is initially incredibly stand-offish and rude to the other students on the island. He claims he's not going to play at being friends with anyone, and when he is questioned about this, he states clearly that he would not hesitate to kill anyone of the others. He makes frequent references to his yakuza background and seems adamant at presenting this sort of "lone wolf" attitude. Despite this, he shows signs of this perhaps not being all true, with him "happening to walk by" the lodge where the other students were having a party, despite claiming that he had no interest in going. When Fuyuhiko does interact with the others (by choice or otherwise), his attitude is combative and irritable. He's easily angered, often threatening and/or insulting other people when they disagree with or complain about his actions. As the game progresses, however, he slowly begins to open up to the others.

His official English voice actor is Derek Stephen Prince

His voice should probably be mid to mid-high. Also, he swears more than any of the other characters, so if you don't like swearing, this may not be the role for you...

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: Foo-You-He-Koh Koo-Zoo-Ree-You

  • [Introduction] Name's Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu... Just so we're clear, I don't plan on acting all friendly and shit with you guys.

  • Didn't that Byakuya bastard get killed in the dinning hall, huh? Then everyone there is a fuckin' suspect.

Mahiru Koizumi is the Ultimate Photographer.

Mahiru is an optimistic and sensible girl who is generally rather calm and unafraid to speak her mind. She initially comes off as confident but is later revealed to have self-esteem issues; believing her title to be stupid when compared to her classmates. Mahiru has high expectations of men and can be abrasive towards them, yet she is much more tolerant and friendly to girls. While she doesn't flat-out hate men (like a character from a different Danganronpa game), she is much less patient towards men and is quick to judge them. As a result, she and Fuyuhiko are constantly butting heads. But despite this, she is a very kind and earnest person, wanting to help as many people as she can.

Her official English voice actress is Carrie Keranen.

I'm not looking for anything specific here. As long are you're female (or can sound female), then feel free to audition.

Mahiru Koizumi: Mah-Hee-Roo K-Oy-Zoo-Mee

  • [Introduction] Let's see... I'm Mahiru Koizumi. I'll be counting on you from now on.

  • It's one thing to be a little cautious, but performing a body-check is a bit much!

  • [Irritated] Weren't you taught any basic manners; or were you raised in a locker room?!

Teruteru Hanamura is the Ultimate Cook.

Teruteru is very lewd and usually can be seen hitting on anyone near him, male and female alike, often to the point of sexual harassment. When he is not making innuendos or hitting on someone, Teruteru is shown to be decently friendly and relatively upbeat. He takes great pride in his cooking, insistently telling other people to call him Ultimate Chef instead of Ultimate Cook, as it 'gives off a more urban feeling'. He tries to create an image of a stylish urban person, nut when extremely agitated, stressed, or angry, Teruteru loses his normal speech pattern and breaks down, yelling angrily in an incomprehensible, country-like dialect, which is extremely difficult to understand.  He is ashamed to talk about his real home in the countryside, even though he loves his mother back at home greatly.

His official English voice actor is Todd Haberkorn.

Most of the time, his voice sounds smooth and, as Ibuki worded it, "Handsome, unlike his face!" But when he becomes too agitated, he speaks in a hard to understand accent, so you'll have to be able to do both.

Teruteru Hanamura: T-Air-Oo-T-Air-Oo Hah-Nah-More-Ah

  • [Introduction] My name is Teruteru Hanamura. On the streets, I'm known as the Ultimate Cook... But could you call me the Ultimate Chef instead? It has more of a... big-city flavor to it, ya know?

  • [Aroused] Hey, how did it feel to do your business in the dark? Did you get... excited?

  • [In a hard to understand, country accent] I TOL' YA TO WAIT A SEC AIN' I?! ("I told you to wait a sec, ain't I?") I'm tellin ya I waz in dat der dinnen hall durin da blackout! ("I'm telling you, I was in that there dining hall during the blackout!")

Chiaki Nanami is the Ultimate Gamer.

Chiaki normally has a quiet and sleepy disposition, but she becomes a lot more lively when discussing games and concentrates hard when playing. She often uses gaming terms and game references. She has a number of unusual habits, such as dozing off while playing games and taking long pauses during her conversations to think about everything she wants to say. She tends to end her sentences with negative, indecisive phrases like "maybe" and "I think". But despite her usually calm and seemingly indifferent demeanor, she states that she wants to keep everyone alive. She views life like a video game, which is why she won't allow any killings; saying that video games are supposed to be fun, and that focusing on winning and losing is pointless.

Her official English voice actress is Christine Marie Cabanos.

Chiaki's voice is usually calm and relaxed. Not completely monotone, but very close to monotone.

Chiaki Nanami: Ch-Ee-Ah-Kee Nah-Nah-Mee

  • [Introduction] I'm Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer. Video games are my hobby, and I'm a fan of all genres.

  • [Serious] THAT'S WRONG! [Less serious] I think...

Hiyoko Saionji is the Ultimate Traditional Dancer.

Hiyoko's cute appearance, voice, and (initially) her way of talking give off the impression she is innocent and childlike. However, in her introduction alone, it is quickly revealed that she is very direct and cruel with a malicious side. Because of Hiyoko's past, she considers herself part of the noble class and everybody else meager slaves. She constantly judges others and patronizes them with rude insults, with Mikan and Kazuichi being the most common, as well as the easiest victims. If she doesn't get what she wants or if other people actually talk back to her, she tends to cry crocodile tears loudly like a child, though her tears are sometimes genuine. But after the events of Chapter 2, Hiyoko attempts to change herself for the better, trying her best to become less hostile and insulting, and understanding.

Her official English voice actress is Kira Buckland.

Her voice should be high (I'll also accept mid-high) and childlike. She  should be able to cry big, but should also be able to sound rude and condescending.

Hiyoko Saionji: Hee-Oh-Koh S-Eye-On-Jee

  • Yeah, we already know that, you trashy skank! You don't have to tell us!

  • Who tripped the breaker and how did they do it? If you can't answer that, I'mma bop you on the head!

Nekomaru Nidai is the Ultimate Team Manager.

Nekomaru is a vigorous, boisterous, openhearted student who is passionate about supporting athletes. He frequently shouts when speaking, being a team manager. He is very optimistic and his willpower is immeasurable, but he isn't very smart and he's very bad at lying. He also really appears to enjoy fighting, often in the form of very serious training. he states that he will give everything he has to fully support everyone so they can escape the killing game together. True to his statement, he is the only one who willingly coached Akane by giving her a training routine and paid attention to food that she ate so she can stay fit and healthy. Though Nekomaru may appear scary and aggressive, he has a very kind heart. He cries quite easily and isn't afraid to show it. As a team manager, he can be quite strict, but he is very supportive and inspiring to his athletes and strives to improve them however he can. Teamwork and fighting spirit are very important to him.

His official English voice actor is Patrick Seitz.

He should have a low to mid-low voice. His voice should be bold, loud, and strong. You will also need to be able to shout.

Nekomaru Nidai: Neh-Koh-Mah-Roo Nee-Die

  • [Introduction. Big and loud] I AM THE ULTIMATE TEAM MANAGER! NEKOMARU NIDAI!!!

  • If she locked herself in the bathroom for that long, there's no doubt... it's shit. [Laugh out loud] GAH-HAHAHAHA! Aw, there's no way she'd admit it! There's no way she'd admit she was taking a shit!

Ibuki Mioda is the Ultimate Musician.

At first, Ibuki is a bit shocking in bold and unique personality and appearance. She is one of the most upbeat people out of her classmates. She is very quirky as she loves to do all sort of bizarre things and she dislikes "dull" things, like reading and studying. She is very energetic and loves to talk, though she almost always ends up going off on bizarre, unrelated tangents.  She can act flirty towards both boys and girls, though she often appears to be just joking; she appears to have very little interest in having a lover. Though she may appear a bit insensitive at times, she is actually a very caring friend.

Her official English voice actress is Julie Ann Taylor.

Nothing specific required, but just an FYI. While I can't say I know from experience, Ibuki seems to be (in my opinion) the most fun female role in this game! So ladies, just have fun with it!

Ibuki Mioda: Ee-Boo-Kee Mee-Oh-Dah

  • [Introduction. Like a cheerleader] "I," "Buki," "Mio," "Da!" Put it together and what do you get? IBUKI MIODA!

  • [Thoughtful] Which means we can assume that the night-vision goggles were kept inside that duralumin (Der-ah-loo-men) case, as well. [Giddly] Wohoo! I said "assume"! Ibuki never uses such clever language!

Gundam Tanaka is the Ultimate Breeder.

Gundham has an eccentric and somewhat dark personality. He often claims that he has been blessed with the evil powers of the underworld, and refers to everyone else as 'pathetic human beings'. Gundham is often lost in his own little world, usually paying more attention to himself or his hamsters than the things that are going on around him. It is possible that Gundham's delusions of self-grandeur stem from an inferiority complex and pseudo syndrome known as chuunibyou which would explain his strong belief in his apparent origins and his eccentric behaviour. If this is truly the case, then Gundham overcompensates for his underlying, probably gentle spirit by creating an entirely new, exciting personality.

His official English voice actor is Chris Tergliafera.

Gundham's voice should probably be mid-low to low. Also, if Ibuki is the most fun female role to play, then Gundham is (arguably) the most fun male role; So just have fun with it!

Gundam Tanaka: Gun-Dum Tah-Nah-Kah

  • [Introduction] You may call me Gundam Tanaka. Remember it well, for it is the name that will one day rule this world!

She also loses track of time when practicing martial arts, but she is not antisocial or unwilling to stay around the other students. It also revealed that she was not able to smile because she thought she never really needed to smile. Over time, because she completely neglected it, she eventually forgot how to smile. She wants to make her childhood friend smile again, so she has a strong motivation to able herself to smile. Eventually, she learns that, “Smiling is not something you have to force. When your heart gets warm, smiles come to you naturally.”

Her official English voice actress is Janice Kawaye.

Peko normally speaks in an authoritative tone with very little emotion. However, there are few instances where she expresses emotion, so her VA should be able to do both emotional and non-emotional line-reading.

Peko Pekoyama: Pe-Koh Pe-Koh-Yah-Mah

  • This may be off topic, but why was Byakuya acting so paranoid? Not only did he bring a self-defense kit, but he had night-vision goggles inside the case, too...

  • [Regretful] If I was in the office, I could've reset the breaker in time... And maybe the murder wouldn't have occurred...

  • Nagito, what are you plotting? For someone who insists he's not the killer, you are quite nosy.

Sonia Nevermind is the Ultimate Princess.

Sonia is a cheerful and polite girl with a great interest for Japanese culture. She is very kind and thoughtful, and she cares deeply for her friends, being very protective to those she holds deep connection to. She is also rather naive. Sonia is fascinated with serial killers and the occult and has actually stated that she likes Friday the 13th. Sonia is a rather calm person during the Killing game, as she is one of the few participants to not panic as much, compared to the others, but admits that she is desperate to go home to her people while breaking down in tears. She states that she does not fear death, but she also won't let herself be killed nor kill any of her friends. One of Sonia's behaviors in studying Japan is to act like a normal girl. She firmly states that she wishes to be a normal Japanese girl and have friends of her own status.

Her official English voice actress is Natalie Hoover.

For the most part, Sonia's voice has one of three tones: innocent, naive, and/or authoritative. If you can fit these moods (and if you have an effeminate voice), then you too can voice Sonia!

  • I regret that I must return to this topic, but... I just realized something concerning the night-vision goggles. If Byakuya was indeed wearing those goggles... how did the killer manage to navigate in the dark?

  • [Breaking up an argument] CEASE THIS BICKERING!

  • [Innocently] He seems like the kind of person who's eyes light up while watching Friday the 13th... just like me.

Byakuya Togami is the Ultimate Affluent Progeny.

Byakuya is an arrogant young adult who originally saw himself to be more superior then the others due to being the heir to an extremely successful family business. He is often cold, blunt, and reserved, but he has a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.

His official English voice actor is Jason Wishnov.

Byakuya's voice should have a confident, somewhat regal feel to it.  As the victim of this trial, he will have very few lines. However, he is still an important role.

Byakuya Togami: B-Yah-Koo-Yah Toh-Gah-Mee

  • [Shouting] What the hell?! What's going on here?!

  • I checked the kitchen's equipment list and there seems to be one iron skewer missing.

  • Don't worry, as long as I'm the leader, I won't let anyone become a victim. I will guide you all! That much, I promise.
