Overview

Visit the Cursed Circus! Cursed Us is a visual novel with Phoenix Wright gameplay. You are someone cursed trying to find the cure. You stumble across a circus with others just like you and the person in charge. She can help you find the cure. All you need to do is to do a few chores and tell her how your day went. You can tell a lie, truth, or half-truth. Be careful, the truth may hurt.

Characters

The Contortionist: The main character you will be playing. They can change into any person, but don't have their original body or remember who they are. People call it the skinwalker curse, but that isn't the best way to describe what happens when they transform. Their hair embodies a vessel of who they become and turns into a paper-like texture, and they only have a certain amount of time until it gets itchy...

Emelia: The tiefling in charge of the Cursed Circus, being moreso the businesswoman/informant. She stays organized and plans for who performs. She will help you by asking questions to further understand your curse and how to cure it. Those questions will you, right?

Ringer the Ringmaster: An energetic and eccentric human who loves to perform! They always keep up a smile! They are blind, but it's not their curse. Their curse is Clayface. Their body can involuntarily melt into liquid. They should have been nothing but mud. What is keeping them together?

Fortuna the Fortune Teller: A shy, hardworking half-human who wants to help lift curses, even though she is cursed herself. She is bound to a family heirloom: a book that carries forbidden spells. She can cast the spells from the book, but any spell outside of it, she ages drastically. Her body is in her 60s yet she is only in her mid-20s.

Acro the Acrobat: A veteran who lost two wars. This anthropomorphic dog has the curse of being immortal, but can't can't see in one eye, feel anything, or taste any of his food. It's a miracle he can see out of one eye. With the other, he claims he can see the dead. Who would believe someone who's lost two wars?

The Tamed Beast: A young boy with the ability to shapeshift into any creature except for the one he's born with. The creatures he can turn into is limited to the meat he's eaten. He can turn into an eldritch... Where did it come from? For now, he is a humanistic creature. The circus is safe for now.

Coppelia the tightrope walker: An elf who revived from the dead. She has a copper body encased by porcelain to keep her passion of ballet alive. However, her body slowly corrodes as her passion also dwindles. How long will she have?

(Only Ringer and Emelia has roles open due to being the only ones to have speaking lines in chapter 1. Each character will have auditions open after the Chapter 1 release.)
