Project Overview
EPISODE ONE IS OUT NOW!!!
Please note: the voices in this pilot are experimental and are not necessarily representative of the parts/characters you will play now as the script and story have been heavily reworked since this was originally made. The tone and the style will remain largely the same with some adjustments here or there. For example, the jokes will tend to be much less sexually explicit in this than in the pilot episode. Each episode will be much longer (20-45 minutes*)

I'm B00mrang and we are making a Halo machinima (remember those?)
We are looking for voice actors for it who can commit to a long term project. We plan on releasing the first episode sometime this year, but it will be a slow process. We're looking for someone who is interested in playing a recurring character in this show. But since this would be recurring let's get this out of the way:
We will be paying 10$ an episode for each of the 9 main characters. Side characters will remain unpaid for the time being.
We understand how important your time is as an actor and don't want to waste any of it. But we are amateurs (with very little extra cash) who are driven by a passion to make a silly and touching web series with strong characters and nostalgic themes. This is a passion project for us and if you have been heavily influenced by internet shows of the early to mid-2000s (or if you just think this sounds like some fun) then you're exactly who we're looking for! As you might expect this show will be a comedic story set in the Halo universe. (think Red vs Blue)
Here is a brief overview of the story:
Following the close of a galaxy-spanning war, the members of FIXER, a slapdash special forces team, are no longer needed. Washed up and no longer having a purpose, they now find themselves sent on useless mission after useless mission. They pass their time by complaining and doing whatever they can to stave off boredom. However, on this newest assignment they slowly -and unwittingly- begin to uncover a massive mystery that has claimed thousands of lives. Each member will be tested -whether by sheer monotony and boredom of military life or else by the unfathomable dangers lurking beneath.
This will be the casting call mainly for the first episode and each of these will be some of the central characters going forward. The show has been in the writing process for nearly 2 years and there are approx. 8 full length episodes fully written with over 20 still in the draft stage. We have the music, editing software, all the equipment required, all we are missing is you! There will be many more characters and adventures to come following Episode 1 and we will inform you all when more positions open up. But for now, this is what we've got.

Target is one of the 9 main characters in the show, he is the newcomer in the story and serves as the everyman.
Target is naïve and overly trusting. He is an everyman clearly out of his depth. Target is the newest member of the team and is often confused by what happens around him. He is quick to listen and wincingly optimistic. Impressionable and eager to learn. He is warm and inviting to everyone and is extremely modest. He is driven by a desire to make friends and to live up to his family's decorated legacy.
A good character to emulate for this role would be Ellis from the Left 4 Dead franchise.

"So anyway we were there in the river and I stuck my hand into one of those mud holes where the catfish live and my entire arm was in this MASSIVE guy. It had to be the size of like a truck. I instantly began to panic because I'm strong but a truck is a LOT stronger -I only needed to learn that lesson once!"
"So, I'm not complaining or anything, but what is it we're supposed to be doing around here? Because this isn't exactly what I signed up for, you know?"
Pops is one of the 9 main characters in the show. He is the leader of the team and a constant source of stability and wisdom throughout the show.
Pops is wise and understated. He is a beacon of truth and cohesion for those around him. His extensive life experience has led him to be very graceful and patient. He frequently imparts wisdom, drawing from his vast knowledge and life experiences. He will occasionally quote famous philosophers, authors, and historical figures -which adds depth and intellectualism to his conversations. He doesn't seem bothered by rabble-rousing and the immaturity of his team. But beneath it all Pops is a thoroughbred war hound. Particularly observant, he knows where the real threats lie and where they don't. Wary of deception and ignorance, he often seems overly concerned with details that most would not pick up on. Yet this sensitivity is the byproduct of years of war. At the end of the day, that's what Pops is built for -and he knows it all too well.

Duke is one of the 9 main characters in the show. He is sardonic and mischievous. A source of levity and conflict.
A classical dude bro, Duke spends most of his time bitching about the world. He always speaks his mind and isn't shy about being a sarcastic ass to the people around him. Duke is a very heavy drinker and a massive party animal. Quick-witted and unfiltered, Duke greatly enjoys pushing others' buttons and seeing what he can get away with. Impatient and hedonistic to the point of slight self-destruction, Duke lives for the moment and doesn't care much for what happens after. Beneath it all Duke exhibits a strong sense of loyalty towards those he cares about, and will begrudgingly defend and safeguard their interests. When pressed he will act mature but he will bitch about it nonstop.

Crash: 'How are you so calm right now!? Are you drunk!?' Duke: "Hey, in my line of work, I've had to come to peace with the fact that I'm probably leaving this world as a fine red mist ...You know, that and Vodka for breakfast."
"I mean, come on! What's next? Maybe we can guard some boxes with nothing in them. Or maybe they'll pull that one trick where they tell us to 'wait for orders' that are never gonna come!"
Target: 'so what's your idea of fun?' Duke: "Living targets for one. Robots don't get that 'oh shit that's a rocket' face when you send 'em party favors -and honestly, that's the best part!"
Izzy is one of the 9 main characters in the show. She is a voice of reason and one of the more intelligent characters.
Isabelle is a professional -well, at least she tries to be. She has found herself in what is probably the least professional unit she could have ever imagined. She wants everything to work as intended and won't hesitate to raise hell when it isn't. She's by the book -unless the book was written by morons. She takes herself a bit too seriously at times and gets bent out of shape when the rest of the team doesn't share her enthusiasm for military honors and procedures. She is easily overwhelmed and a bit neurotic. She fancies herself a brilliant technician whose talents are wasted here, yet she has a very strong bond and connection with the team she doesn't quite have the emotional intelligence to communicate properly. She has a cast iron moral compass and doesn't suffer fools.
A good character to emulate for this part would be Piper from Fallout 4.

Pops: 'Anything new to report?' Izzy: (sarcastically) Uh, everything is broken and I don't really get paid enough to fix it. But come to think of it, that's hardly news."

Peanut is one of the 9 main characters in the show. He is energetic and vibrant, a constant source of life for the team and the story.
Peanut is often called the heart of the team -he is also probably the adrenal gland. Peanut lives in his head and does so at a breakneck pace. As a result, Peanut often lacks much social awareness and ends up being the butt of the joke. He maintains a positive outlook, even in dire situations, and tries to bring a sense of enthusiasm to the team. He enjoys teasing and pranking his teammates, often with a lighthearted and harmless intent. Peanut often stands out among the others with his vibrant and over-the-top behavior. Like an unsupervised child with unlimited access to caffeine, he is often prone to conspiracies and delusions of grandeur. He is always eager to prove himself and where he lacks in competence he makes up for in ardor.
"Oh, man! You wouldn't believe what I just learned on the radio! Did you know that crop circles are actually a conspiracy by airlines to show you subliminal messaging while you fly!? And here I thought it was something normal, like aliens!"
"When I was a kid my uncle used to take me out to construction sites. You wouldn't believe it, they left all this copper wiring lying around -free for the taking!"
"Ahh, what a Bea-you-tiful day! Can you believe we get paid to stare at this same view everyday!?"
Lilly is one of the 9 main characters of the show. She won't appear until around episode 4.
Lilly is fiercely loyal and optimistic. She is dedicated and talented. Overly ambitious she over-estimates her own abilities and often charges head first into trouble. She is proud and stubborn. She is personable and exudes warmth. Beneath it all she is torn between competing desires to do her duty and to have real human connection. Her warmth affords her momentary friendships but the nature of her work means she never lets anyone in close, except Wes. Those who are more intuitive can tell that her smile and sunny disposition hides a great deal of stress and pain waiting for peace and release.
A good character to emulate for this part would be Kaylee Frye from Firefly.

Hey guys! Let's just take it easy! There's no need for all this arguing.
You know, I don't get to know people much in this job... like really know people. Sure everyone's nice to me but I just feel like a ghost sometimes, you know?
I'm so excited! Do you know how long it's been since we last travelled? We've been stuck back at Luna for months now!
Wes is one of the 9 main characters in the show. He won't appear until episode 4 but is then a regular past that.
Wes is a medic whose main concern is the well-being of whatever team he's with this month. He is particularly bright and clever, reading others very quickly. He rarely shows his emotions, maintaining a consistently serious and unflappable exterior. He tends to speak only when necessary and is comfortable with silence. He values action over words and believes in personal responsibility. He is a good medic but is only truly loyal to Lilly, his partner. He treats everyone with professional courtesy until they show themselves to be unprofessional. He is a heavy drinker and often lacks patience if someone gets hurt and gives him more work to do.
I'll quit complaining when people stop suffering from stupidity. Stupidity means more work for me and I don't want more work, got it?

Will E. Warden is a conspiracy radio talk show host. He will be occasionally heard as an unseen voice on the radio who will be ranting about the state of the universe.
Listen, folks, the Warden knows when he's being lied to and this smells like some grade-A schlock, okay? I'm supposed to believe that ALIENS invaded the Earth?
They're turning people into popcorn! and they don't want YOU to know about it!
Don't even get me started on the mole-men!
This is the generic, smooth talking radio host for the local military forces who will appear as a voice over the radios from time to time. This is a minor, yet reoccurring role. Looking for a smooth talker who can sound like a relaxed DJ.

This role is for the disembodied voice of the radio operator who will occasionally be giving the team new orders.

Roger FIXER 4, DELTA is en route to fill in, over. Stand by to pass the torch and then exfil and RTB, over.
These will appear throughout the show and will require some range if you want to do more than one.
