Project Overview
Hello again (hopefully for the last time for a while!),
We are Dark Helm Entertainment, a studio that is currently working on a Modern-Greek mythology slice of life 2D animation with hints of comedy, romance, and tense hijinks! Our project is called Chosen, and finally, we are ready to recruit some talented and wonderful souls to voice the characters we have poured our hearts and love into.
“Five mortals are picked at random by the fates to become the champions of five goddesses from Mount Olympus after a heated exchange. Who will produce the best champion, or have the goddesses lost their touch?”
This process is going to work slight different to our previous casting call posts, as we will be hiring people based off their auditions and not giving out callbacks. This is due to the nature of the roles that we are looking for. Here is how things will work:
Auditions will be open from today till 12PM GMT on Friday the 13th of March.
Auditions will close on the 13th of March. After that, the callback process will occur and casting will be completed BY the 22nd.
For this wave, we are looking for voice actors for the following characters:
Athena
Ares
Hermes
If you want to audition, please follow these requirements:
Please do multiple takes of each line (ABCABC or AABBCC, whichever you’d prefer)
Audition for as many characters as you’d like! (But you are limited to 3 attempts per character)
Use the audition form to tell us a bit about you
Be 18 or older! There are no exceptions to this rule, no matter how good your audition is!
If you want feedback, please let us know in your audition comment!
Slates in your audition are not mandatory, but are welcome.

Athena is one of our Main 5 Goddesses.
Athena is protective, mature, strategic and intelligent but she can be stubborn at times.
She is between 23-28 years old.
We would like Athena to sound strong, decisive and clear. We are looking for any accent and we do not have any pitch in mind for her voice. Please feel free to show us your interpretation of Athena.

(overjoyed) I knew you weren’t a complete and utter failure! [laughs]
Ares is an ensemble character.
Ares is a very determined, hard-working, and focused individual who can often be very stubborn, competitive, and grumpy due to the high expectations that he likes to put on himself with being the God of War and Courage.
He is 36 - 41 years old.
We would like Ares to sound gruff and argumentative while still being able to have those soft undertones and moments. We are looking for any accent, and we would prefer for him to have a medium-low pitch for his voice. Please feel free to show us your interpretations of our Ares.

Hermes is an ensemble character.
Hermes is approachable, fast-paced, a trickster and extremely friendly. Although he can be very hard-working despite his silly moments.
He is 21 - 26 years old.
We would like Hermes to sound quick, friendly and like a jokester. We are looking for any accent and we do not have any pitch in mind for his voice. Please feel free to show us your interpretation of Hermes.
