CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP is a surreal adventure series that focuses on Cal, Theo, and recurring lore characters as they explore a strange and hierarchical world. With main inspirations from SpongeBob SquarePants and The Amazing World of Gumball, this show encapsulates the feeling of young outside exploration and the joy and whimsy that comes with finding new things. While it often drifts into lore, mythology, and deep plots, the premise is simple: The world is stranger. Go see it.

LEADING / MAIN CHARACTER #1.

Cal is a young explorer who finds wonder in all scales. He is curious and excitable, fascinated by the world around him. Cal is intelligent, but should NOT sound "nerdy". He should sound like he's thinking while talking, while trying his best to be brave and bold. Even when he's bored, he sounds like he's waiting for something interesting. He talks while thinking. He is a polymath observer and loves adventure, or just anything can give him a sense of wonder. A god, a flower, and a monster in a cave give the same excitement. He is normally naive and optimistic, but he is a three-dimensional character. He lets his emotions take over sometimes.

Race remains ambiguous, char. age anywhere from 11-13.

Theo is the wise, experienced, and chill older brother character. He sounds detached but calm and absorbing the moment. He uses dry humor and sarcasm. He should sound like he knows what he’s talking about. Theo is very prepared and generally wise about situations, which makes him sort of like the parental figure. He thinks while talking.

Abstract role. He can be the emotionless badass, careless “Squidward” character, or the wise, experienced witness. Normally interested in adventure, but dragged along for the results. He loves exploring with Cal, but often actually recognizes the danger.

Looking for a mild Russian influence, with rough but large-vocabulary English.
