Project Overview
My thesis film at the School of Visual Arts in New York! Voice actors get official credits on IMDb and film festival submissions if selected.
Chick Flick is a 3ish-min comedy/drama animated short film set in 90s Singapore about a man named ANDREW WANG trying to make up for a falling out with his boyfriend AMIR by trying to make two chickens outside his workplace fall in love!
As this film is set in Singapore, Singaporean and SE Asian voice actors are preferred but not required!
Voice Actor
Chinese-Singaporean 30-something accountant shopkeeper in 90s Tiong Bahru, Singapore. Neurotic but hopelessly romantic.
Less than 5 spoken lines with many utterances.
Most of Andrew's voice acting is non-speaking but rather 'utterances’- sighing, laughing, giggling manically to himself or otherwise showing EMOTION in his voice while chasing the chickens or working through the realizations he makes about himself in the film. A lot of these utterances are SILLY, so lean into that. He is the protagonist of a film about a guy chasing chickens around to make them fall in love, so lean into that!

Andrew's longtime friend and business partner. She's down to earth and dependable, if not a little tired of Andrew's shenanigans. But Dahlia cares about him anyway, she just wishes he could figure himself out.

Voice Actor
Malay. Male 30s. Deeper Voice. Kind, Preoccupied.
Andrew's one and only partner. Gentle and hardworking but a little aloof, Amir tries his best to quell Andrew's anxious attachment - even if he himself sometimes can't help but reach out wondering how Andrew is doing.
Amir is mostly heard over an answering machine and is cut off by a button press, but no effects should be applied to his line recordings.
