Cesnock: Audio Drama
Project Overview
Project Cesnock is an original indie production. We are small now, but with aspirations of becoming larger. Currently, we have three productions in the works.
'Cesnock' is our main storyline and is presented as an audio podcast on Spotify. With additional visuals for YouTube releases, and the focus of this audition phase.
It tells the story of a mismatched group of Echo's (Expert Conversational Hotspot Operatives) thrown together to solve a disturbing mystery that could change everything they've ever known to be true.
'Echo Radio' is our other audio production, and it's designed as an additional enhancement to support the lore in the main storyline. It's a fun company radio station with original music. Check out our first episode release.
We also have a small website to further enhance the story and lore, with a few activities, curiosities, and additional lore to explore. including Short C.O (Chosen-one) training videos produced exclusively for the website. You can check it out here.
These three projects are linked to each other for a unique experience of exploration and lore.
Please note that this is a small indie project, and we only have a small Indie budget. As the project grows, we hope this will increase. However, for the moment, all that we can afford to compensate actors is $0.05 per word with no less than a flat minimum of $10USD

Blinky is a rat in the World of Cesnock. She is a young apprentice working a maintenance job for Echo Control. She works under a seasoned supervisor, Da’Vain, and rarely appears in the story without him, considering him her best friend and a confidante.
She is curious, laid-back, playful, and silly, but not very knowledgeable about life in general, and often looks to her friend Da’Vain for advice and answers.

(Confused)Here ya go, I don't get it though. Old things are great! Like old cycle moon-berry juice, three day old cheese rolls, your dad's war stories. Even these weird looking crystals are old. Especially that one, it looks ancient! I heard these old portals have been around longer than we have. It's the greatest thing ever, because It's history.
(Suspicious) But why put it on a Ultra-Portal unit? These are outer realm transports. My mom said they're all linked to the Dreamer Realm, and She's pretty confident Dreamers don't want to know anything about Cesnock.
(Sarcastic)Exactly! Because we 'are' nobody, and we're not even paid extra for it. So put that in your cheese roll and nibble. Right, Da'vain?
Da’Vain is a rat in the World of Cesnock. He is a seasoned maintenance supervisor at Echo Control. He only has one apprentice to supervise, a young, laid-back rat named Blinky, whom he thinks of more as a daughter than an employee, and rarely appears in the story without her.
He’s fatherly, stern, protective, and stubborn, and often spends more time giving Blinky life advice than actual work experience.

(blunt) It means it’s old, broken, and outdated... just like this Spirits Chaos thing! They should’ve torn it down, not fixed it. But what do I know? I’m just the dude that keeps the place running. Alright, hand me the crystal.
(Sarcastic) Ha! Who told you that? PINKY THUMB? Forget about all that nonsense! It’s only propaganda designed to rot your brain, dude. Just like the juice... and by the way, it’s vintage, not old. There’s a difference.
(Annoyed/Angry) Listen! How many times do I have to say it?! You can't come in! It's that simple! That plain! So just accept the fact that you're "Ferra'd" and move on.
Drift is a rat in the world of Cesnock. He considers himself a superhero, but in reality, he’s more of a vigilante who seeks out danger and crime with little regard for his own safety to make a name for himself.
He has a split personality: when in the public spotlight, he acts like a superhero, giving an over-the-top, cheesy performance. When he’s alone or unsure, he becomes awkward. He also turns the charm up to maximum whenever he talks to any female regardless of species, also giving a cheesy performance.

(Heroric personality) Please, citizen, Gifts are appreciated but not required. I did it because it was the right thing to do. The proper thing. Instead, you should tell stories and reassure fellow citizens that heroes still exist. The simple knowledge of everyone's happiness is all that matters to me.
(Upset) This isn't what I wanted; it's not even close! (sigh) Why is it so difficult to make a name for myself. I don't do this for gifts or invitations to silly high-class pow-wows, where I'm introduced as a third-class hero, no less. I'm treated like a collector's item instead of an honorable citizen. Though the food is surprisingly good at those things. Augh! Focus, dude, Focus!
(Calm/Charming) Looks like a regular cloak to me. The merchant said everyone would marvel at it. Marvel at me! But nobody did. So, it's useless. However, it might look good on you, Whisper. Take it as a gift from me. It brings out the light in your eyes.
Darla is a Wolf in the World of Cesnock. She is a Queen who rules over the Monarch faction with an iron fist.
She is ruthless, manipulative, and lacks empathy or remorse. She has only one confidante, A young apprentice that she’s been grooming for a long time.
I’m looking for a mature voice with a stereotypical evil queen vocal style and performance. All accents are accepted.

(Stately) On behalf of my clan, I, DARLA! Queen, and firstborn to ROOK, King to the House of Thorn and former council member. Formally petition for the Monarch seat on this council... I also query to why you boast this chamber represents all? Two of the five governing seats remain empty. My father's and the assassin who murdered him. It's long past time you honor the legacy of your fathers, so I can honor the legacy of mine.
(Playful) You see, the monarchy is my garden... 'MY' garden! And if you don't pull the weeds out every now and then, it dies! Sometimes, I need to do distasteful things. But my garden is strong, and I plan to keep it that way! If you want to retain power, you'd best remember this. You don't need to be loved to rule, but you 'DO' need to be respected.
(Annoyed) The monarch has held this seat since the council's founding. It was specially handcrafted for my father, with our stone! And now you dangle it in front of me like a younglings toy? He was admired by the faction. And I hold equal admiration. That seat belongs to the Monarch! To 'OUR' interests. Just as I'm certain the other seat will be reserved for yours’.
Blade is a Big cat in the world of Cesnock. He sits as a senior member of a governing council of three. His role on that council is the governing head. He is majestic, diplomatic, and calm under pressure.

(Stern) Enough! This behavior doesn’t help your case, Citizen Darla, or the council’s interests, Shade. However, the concern is a valid one. Division leads to strife, and strife has cost many innocent lives in war, especially on Cesnock.
(Calm) By stone, Jadda... It’s no secret that opinions carry different weight on this council. But I agree we need to address this concern sooner than later. These seats have been empty far too long.
(Concerned) Hmm, you’ve both put me in a difficult spot. I have to be fair to everyone's concerns, and these are delicate times. However, JADDA offers good advice that could lead to a brighter future. I’d like to think that’s in everyone’s interest.
Jadda is a Big Cat in the world of Cesnock. She sits as a senior member of a governing council of three. Her role on that council is diplomatic, exclusively acting as a mediator between the factions. She is usually measured, and calm but can become painfully blunt when challenged.

(Stern) Council positions are based on trust. Trust from citizens and trust from leaders. To date, you have neither. You may have equal admiration from the clan, but your sister, VESPA, holds the rest.
(diplomatic) Maybe it's time to consolidate that admiration. And bring your faction together as one. I believe your father ROOK would have agreed with that assessment. So, on behalf of Unity Control, I vote to delay, pending further study.
