Casting Call for "Team Anime" Tournament Qualifier (6/8): Idol Anime

Welcome to AVATAnime Voice Acting TournamentsWhat is AVAT?
Anime Voice Acting Tournaments ("AVAT") is, as the name would imply, a tournament for actors. While this event is titled "Team Anime Qualifier: Game Anime" it is merely to identify the event which AVAT is running. AVAT holds a variety of tournaments that are made for all levels of actors. These qualifiers do not represent actual projects in their currents state. This qualifier is made for individuals to advance to the “Team Anime” tournament, try voice acting for the first time, amateurs practicing in areas they may not be comfortable, or professionals wanting to have some fun and do something different!
Criteria!Don't be afraid to enter if you feel that you microphone quality is not very good, and don't be afraid if you feel that your acting skills aren't very good! With that being said let's jump into the criteria for our casting call!
You will be judged based on your ability to:
- Voice the character and their lines.
- Convey the essence of the character.
- Hide yourself in the character.
- Create an involuntary emotional response from the audience and judges.
With all of that being stated we will now move on to the content of the Casting Call!
"Idol Anime"Qualifier 6 of 8"I would give anything to be an idol!"
- Lead Singer (Member 1)
The lead singer is the only role that we will require singing for! Normally, the lead singer is the bubbly and outgoing type as they are front and center! However, it is common for Idol anime to subvert this and use a less outgoing archetype as well!
- Guitarist (Member 2)
This is not a singing role! (Only the lead singer is)
Normally the guitarist is the too cool type, but you are certainly able to make them who you want them to be!
- Bassist (Member 3)
This is not a singing role! (Only the lead singer is)
Occasionally seen as the shy and unspoken type, the bassist is normally quiet! However, their silence is normally rooted in a good reason? What reason will you bring to the table?
- Drummer (member 4)
This is not a singing role! (Only the lead singer is)
Generally the drummer is one of the more cohesive members of the group! Feel free to bring what you believe to be the glue that holds everyone together!
- Rival Manager
This is not a singing role! (Only the lead singer is)
Very rich rival of the main character who leads only the best idols in the industry. Of has people at their finger tips and is willing to resort to anything to win. Their idols are the best.
Prizes!We are currently in the process of getting prizes made for the "Team Anime" tournament! Unfortunately, COVID-19 has played a large role in the slowing of manufacturing causing it to come to a complete stop temporarily. We are keeping everyone updated here on our Twitter page and hope that we have your support and interest while we all handle these difficult time! Stay safe everyone! SubmissionsAVAT requires that you send at least one recording of each line however, we recommend doing 3 reads of each line! You may do a different voice for each read, but you will be limited to 3 reads per line! We will only take a maximum of 3 reads per line!
You may also send you submission in via email to AVAT if you do not wish to create an account to submit here. If you are sending an email, be sure to adjust the email for the roles that you will be sending in!

Yea, in a million years maybe! I've tried using the app "Now Voice This," but there's no way a superstar like him would even consider me. But that won't stop me from trying!
[giggling] (holding back a laugh) Oh my gosh, your butt is huge Mio!

[Singing a song while playing piano] (to yourself somewhat disheartened and sad working up to crying)

(thinking to yourself out loud) If I could play any other instrument? (realizing you are quite hungry) I don't know about another instrument, but I do know I could spend all day at that buffet!
(excited and eager) Of course! Mio and I have been practicing all night! (Trying to sell a lie) You don't think we slacked off and went to Berry's and ate a ton of food and then raced go-karts at the fair and then pretended to be snails moving through the city and then... (You lie has been seen through) Okay so maybe we went to Berry's...
Mio, you and me... We are going places... Um... Mio? Did you bring the keys?

(innocent and unsuspecting) Yea, we went to Berry's why? (realizing how that could be interpreted, a bit scared) It wasn't what you think!
(super happy to be getting a free chocolate shake!) I'll have a large chocolate shake please! Yes! [having internal anxiety] (The server asked if you wanted caramel infused with the chocolate, but now you are to scared to tell them that you actually don't because you don't want to be rude) What am I going to do? I don't like caramel, but I can't ask her to take it out. She'll think I'm crazy and wonder why I got it in the first place, which is totally fair because who does that? Then my friends will wonder what's wrong when I'm not drinking any of my shake...
I'll go get some blankets!

[Yelling at a bribed judge] There's no way they are better than us! I've seen more talent from the people you keep stuck outside! this is elitist garbage!
(Empathizing with a discouraged friend) Hey, it's alright. You have an amazing voice and your mother would be so proud of you... I know I am...
Hey! Don't you dare put any caramel in that shake! If I see one drop of caramel in that shake. I'll... I'll... (realizing they are making a scene) I'll order another one, without any caramel.

(trying to empathize) I feel bad for you ugly duck. (In a condescending manor) Looks aren't everything, but even I have them just in case!
Mio, you are such a sweet girl. I know if it wasn't for that brick of being... *Sigh* I'll have you one day...
