hello! if you happen to remember this project, yes i am still working on this years later lol. unfortunately i no longer have a VA for Saffron, who is a main character, and need to recast!!
og project description:
Opossum! is an animated miniseries that follows the life of Blake, an anxious opossum just trying to make it through university. Follow them and their friends through all their misadventures in the bustling city of Los Angeles!
One of my big goals with the series is to bring light to my experience with anxiety in a silly way with silly little animals! I truly want other people to be able to visualize what people like me go through on a day-to-day basis, and how we overcome it!
This is my first time attempting something like this, so bear with me as I figure out the ropes.
Making my own series based on my characters has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so excited to finally be doing it! It’s still in the early stages, so everything you currently see could be very different by the time production gets going!

Saffron Dhawan
Brief character bio: Saffron is a 20-year-old Bengal tiger who attends UCLA with Blake! She’s one of Rowan’s friends and Blake’s main love interest. She’s a sapphic transgender woman. She’s majoring in biology and really loves plants. Saffron is Indian/South Asian coded.
Info about her voice: Her headcanon voice is Cerise Hood from Ever After High. (click here to get a sense of what she sounds like). She has a soft and raspy-ish voice. Despite this, your voice does not have to be “feminine” to voice her! If you’re a trans gal with a deeper voice you can still audition for her ^^
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: I’d want a voice actor that reflects her ethnicity and queerness! I will highly favor transfem VAs over cis ones.
