Case 40: A New Predator
Project Overview
Story Synopsis
Case 40 is the story of the first actual creature case that Richard and Treunen have encountered. After being sent a recording recently put into evidence showing a man being taken and killed by a creature that can be faintly seen, The pair make their way to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Richard buys two handheld audio recorders to record their investigation. The forest seems to be soured with something stalking and taking people who go into the park. The insight they gain paints a picture of something beyond their previous experiences and threatens to test them like never before.
Plan of action
After casting, each week an episode will be recorded and edited and prepared for release every Monday until all ten are released, unless there are unforeseen delays this should be February 8th. At that point Depending on audience feedback there may be additional work for the actors chosen in the near future.
Payment
The payment will be through PayPal. It shall be distributed after the recordings for the episodes are submitted. The payment is planned to be $5 per episode, If you audition and are shortlisted we can discuss this if needed

Clarification on payment
I apologize for not being as clear as I though I was, but the payment on the character is the total, the five dollars is per episode which the total then reflects how many episodes they appear in. If you have any questions message me and I will do my best to clarify them. Thank you for looking at my project.

Riley Maness
Personality- Book smart, able to perform mechanical function but prefers not to. Richard theorizes and plans before doing anything of importance. Richard has a hard time recouping after a plan goes wrong. At the worst of cases, this can cause him to become slightly irrational. His curiosity causes him to run himself into a corner, sometimes even putting himself in peril. He will do his best to think his way out of any situation that surprises him.
I do not have a reference on how I want him to sound.
(Curious/ High energy): What do you mean, are you serious? There really is something out there- Do you know what it could be, any theories at all?
(contemplation): [Sigh] Currently our options are limited- There are four sites to search, one day until we have weapons to defend ourselves, and we have three days before the entire town is evacuated. It may be worth it to do a quick search of the first two sites- they aren't suspected to harbor what we are looking for.
(Irrational): It's quiet, its the middle of the day and it's dead quiet Treunen. The wildlife's is gone- we might be next.

Personality- Strategic, intelligent and commanding, Treunan used his seven years of combat experience in active duty with the marines to assist his friend Richard, whom he had reconnected with three years ago. He is cautious, preferring to organize all visible possibilities and choose the optimal plan. This causes him to question Richard at most major decisions to curve Richard’s curiosity into a place more productive

(Deadpan): You're telling me that there's an animal or person, that takes people within seconds. How many testimonies can back up that claim?
(Serious): I'm not interested in getting ourselves killed, I think it be better to stay in town and look for any additional information before setting up an F.O.B. in that park
(Amused): I don't think bringing up Alaska will do us any good, hehehe- Unless you're goal is to lighten the mood.

This project will need two extra actors. I don't have preferences for the voices, so I encourage you to experiment, however I ask for a maximum of three takes. As a note there is no direction intentionally so I can see how you incorporate your own emotional spin on the line. In the description of your audition, put the name of the character you're auditioning for and your discord tag.
Detective Alexander Dall- A nine year veteran of the force, recovering alcoholic and currently overwhelmed with the case he is currently investigating. He is a Stern 35 year old man who can control a situation with ease, able to get someone to open up slightly then use that opening to great effect. Appears in 3 episodes
Park Ranger Alison- She had an encounter while out checking on the severely dropping elk population. She's in shock, witnessing something that caused her to go on leave for two weeks. She is openly cynical when talking about what she saw. Appears in one episode.
Park Ranger Alison Dwarny- $5
1) It's not uncommon that one of the elks die of predation, so occasionally we have to check on them.
2) I don't wish to remember what I saw, but I have to live with it.
Detective Alexander Dall-$15
1) Wait, I thought you said you weren't Involved? Are you really lying to me after asking for an interview?
2) A camera was found on one of the trails, it had a coat of dried blood.
