Carcerem: A Visual Novel
Project Overview
Carcerem is a visual novel that focuses on mental illnesses and their effects on a student's life. I am making this visual novel because I've always wanted to try making not only a visual novel, but a more serious game. All of the games I have made in the past have been short, silly, dumb little games and I wanted to show that I can make something meaningful as well. I'd rather not spoil too much of the game here, so without further ado...
RULES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Have a fairly decent mic, basically minimal background noise, no pops or peaking.
- Have a Discord account. If you don't have one, you can easily make one here. This is simply so I can keep track of the cast and crew in a fairly easy manner.
- No bullying. I will not tolerate rude behavior to each other in the group, nor will I tolerate it in the auditions. If I find out you have been rude to any of the others your audition will be immediately rejected.
- Be prepared to stick with this project to the end. There may be times where I need a few extra lines for something and I would rather not recast because you've gone missing.
-I may write in profanity for some characters so if you are uncomfortable or unable to curse please PM me or comment to let me know because I may make exceptions if I like your voice.
- Have fun! While this is a serious project, I'd like it to be fun for everyone as well!

Hello everyone! First of all I would like to say thank you all for auditioning! Sorry about the late update. Now, I'd like to mention that due to the amount of auditions I may or may not be doing callbacks. If I do you will have one week to do the extra lines. I will allow extra time if you have a good reason for not being able to do the extra lines on time. With all that being said the final cast will be announced on April 10th. Amanda Art and Final Deadline
Hey everyone! I'm back from the holidays! I finally got the character art for Amanda done and Moreison should be done within the next week. The final deadline is March 15th and casting will be done by the end of March. Thanks to everyone who's auditioned so far! You all are amazing! -
Deadline Updated And Info Regarding Profanity
I have pushed the deadline back in order to give myself time around the holiday season and give more time for auditions. I also updated the description about the characters possibly using profanity. If you have already auditioned and are uncomfortable or unable to curse please PM me to let me know.

**ENGLISH ACCENT PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED**Ian is a transfer student from England. He excels in every subject, but never seems to ever talk to anybody. The few friends he makes however, say he never shuts up once he starts talking. Ian has social anxiety. (Ian has short black hair, thick eyebrows, and baby blue eyes. He wears glasses, but only when he reads. He is 5'10" and his outfit is a white dress shirt with rolled up sleeves, a bright red tie, black dress pants and loafers.)
(Shy/Awkward) Oh, uh... did you have something to say to me? Sorry, I... wasn't really paying attention.
(Happy) Yeah, I was a bit worried... but I guess it was for no reason. I got a perfect score on my exam!
