Project Overview
๐GENERAL SUMMARY๐
High school is hard for all students, but it's even more difficult for somebody who is dealing with personal challenges that most teens don't. That is the case for Lexi, who is undergoing cancer treatment while trying to adjust to Junior Year. She maintains her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for life despite her health issues, thanks in part to her loyal best friend Riley remaining by her side through it all. Whether they're at school, home or the hospital, the girls are always by each other's side through thick and thin.

REQUIREMENTS ๐
You must have discord.
Have a good quality microphone.
Speak clearly and naturally so others can understand.
Please be enthusiastic with every line you do.
Please try to minimalize the background noise as much as possible. (This does include computer fans if possible.)
You must be able to submit your lines on time. (Weekly Schedule)
I'm only looking for voice actors who are aged 15+. I unfortunately won't be making any exceptions to this rule, as I need to make sure everyone is mature enough to be apart of this series, and have the correct emotion and understanding of the characters. (I apologise if this is upsetting! ;-;)
Please read your lines as if you're talking to someone in person. Most characters in this series will have emotional times between others and I need to make sure you can do different emotions and tones.
Please note that I have no tolerance for any type of bullying on my team, please be respectful and kind towards everyone involved in this project.

Lexi, Riley, and Brianna are close friends. Ellie and Brianna are also close friends and often hangout together. She is very serious and brutally honest. The most responsible friend group member is perceived to be Brianna.

A reoccurring character who is cruel to Riley and Lexi is Lindsey Harris. She is obnoxious, well-liked, cruel, and just acts coolly for the sake of it. Despite being tidy and ordered, she can be rather harsh and snappy. Since they were very little, she and Lexi have been at odds with one another and have despised each other ever since. She later dates Lucas Bailey.

(Angry) "Ugh! Another Bailey. What did I ever do to deserve being stuck with your brother as my cooking class partner?"
"Oh? Lexi? What are you doing at the gym? Are you going to be the equipment girl? Because I like my towels extra fluffy."
The new guy in Summersville is Owen, who is a kind and caring individual. He goes out of his way to help Lexi whenever he can. However, he has a heart condition from birth and needs medication daily. When he and Lexi meet at the hospital, he doesn't tell her about his condition as he wants to be seen as more than that. Owen is a calm and reserved individual who doesn't want to get carried away by the negativity of the world around him. He is also very kind to his friend Lexi, Even though he is dealing with his own issues, he is still there to help her through hers. Owen and Lexi later develop a relationship.

Even before Lexi and Riley entered high school, Ellie was their friend, and she is still their friend as they begin junior high. She is a silly, vivacious person. The majority of jokes are lost on her. She is the friend group's oddest and most eccentric member. She has blonde hair with pink highlights mixed through. She's a kind spirit and is herself even if she may not be the smartest.

One of the main characters, Lexi Bailey's older brother named Lucas Bailey. He loves to sing, play music and eat breakfast. Lucas is a peaceful, laid-back teen who makes an effort to appear cool, but when he wants to be, he can be a really vibrant and vivacious guy. Lucas is kind and considerate, and he strives to be there for his sister. Logan Green is his closest friend, he later starts a relationship with Lindsey.

Lexi and Lucas' lovely and devoted mother is Amanda. Although she is frequently overly protective, her first concern is for her children. Party planning is another area of expertise and enthusiasm for Amanda. During Lexi's hospital check-ups, Amanda becomes increasingly anxious. She enjoys playing games like charades because she is so competitive. She is neighbors with Riley Baker's family and is a somewhat impulsive person. Amanda is a kind, entertaining, and courageous individual who is married to Mark, her husband.

"We used to call him the same thing. Well, not your father. He loved your dad. He was such a suck-up. If he didnโt have that mustang, I would have neverโฆ uh.. driven home with him in that Mustang. "
8-year-old Ryan is an enthusiastic and fun-loving child. He is Riley Baker's younger brother. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and playing video games. He gets along well with many individuals. Although he occasionally finds himself in odd situations, things always turn out okay. Ryan loves animals and wants several pets when he's older, yet he is terrified of raccoons. Ryan is hilarious and generally supportive, but he can be a little impatient and not always the best mannered. He constantly wants to have fun with Lexi and is really helpful to her.

Mark Bailey is the father of Lexi and Lucas, and is a pilot. He is frequently silly and genuinely cares about his children. While Mark enjoys having fun, he takes everything seriously, including football games. He is witty and incredibly amiable. As a father, he occasionally makes mistakes, but he picks himself up quickly. He also avoids conflict wherever possible. Amanda Bailey is his wife.

Logan Green is a recurring character. Logan is a very smart person. He has a particular interest in the subject of Mathematics and frequently participates in Math Competitions called Mathletes. He is pretty serious about his future and is the best friend of Lucas Bailey. He is also a math tutor for Lexi in the middle of season one.

"I know, right? I mean, I look cute in my Juliet dress, but I don't show it off."
"I donโt know but Iโm sure eventually the excitement will wear off, and Lucas will move on. Like when he lost his favorite bear on that field trip in 3rd Grade." (Little Break) "Okay, I feel like you missed the Point of the bear story.."
An awkward friend of Riley who worked with her in the school play. Matt becomes Riley's first kiss, he also has a single father. He is revealed to be gay and it is mentioned a couple times, he later finds a partner in the series. He appears in [S1: E6, S1: E7, S1: E14, S1: E17]

"Uh... Shouldn't we kiss in this scene? I-I mean, to practice for Friday."
"I have no idea. [IMPERSONATES BRITISH ACCENT] It's like British with a hint of Muppet, ya know?"
After learning that she had cancer, Lexi began seeing a therapist by the name of Marissa on a regular basis. She enjoys helping people and kids who deal with any challenges, including loss, mental illness, anxiety, and health-related issues. She is very compassionate and soft-spoken. Riley is also being treated by Marrissa for her anxiety disorder and panic attacks. [SHE HAS MORE APPEARANCES IN PART 2 OF THE SERIES]

Lexi sees Dr. Kingston regularly for checkups so he can continue to manage her health. He is helping her and treating her for cancer at the Summersville Children's Hospital. He is a wonderful doctor as well as compassionate and understanding. [S1: E8, S1: E12]

Now that we know the type of leukemia you have, we're going to keep you here for a few weeks while you get a high dose of chemo, unfortunately it is going to make you feel quite tired but it's also going to kill your leukemia cells."
"The goal is to get to remisson, we check your blood daily and eventually we'll schedule another bone marrow aspiration to monitor your progress."
"Okay, Baileys.. and Riley. Everything looks... great! Well, I know how happy you'll be to hear, you can now even go out for basketball."
Riley and Lexi both attend Oakland Highschool, which is led by Principal Hackett. Since Mark was a student, he has been an instructor at Oakland High. Most parents and students are afraid of him since he is severe and won't tolerate inappropriate behavior.

"Alright, please come in."
Despite battling cancer, Megan is clever and upbeat. However, Megan also struggles with a recurrent nightmare about her condition that keeps her awake at night. She is a friend Lexi made when she began her treatment, and the two frequently receive chemotherapy together while socializing and supporting one another. Meghan is a minior character but has an important role, she appears in [S1: E1, S1: E8, S1: E14, S1: E17]

"Ugh, I hate when that happens. It's like cancer's jumping out from under your bed and saying "Boo!"
"Yeah, still got this awesome โcancerโ thing. So, why are you here? Everything OK?"
William Baker is Riley and Ryan Baker's father, he is also Kate's ex-husband. He travels and rescues animals in different places around the world. He has been absent from Riley's teenage life and Ryan's childhood as he was busy adventuring the world, he still acts like a kid and has struggled to grow up, which is why Kate divorced him. Despite being seperated from his ex wife, he occasionally does visit his children and he is seen in [S1: E10]. William develops over the episode and becomes more understanding and wants to be more involved in Riley's life.

[TALKING TO RYAN HIS SON, JOKINGLY] "Wait a minute. Excuse me, sir, have you seen my son, Ryan? A little squirt, about this big."
"Hey, Kate. You look good."
"No. No. This is real. It's just when I hear about things I've missed, like your play, I feel terrible for not being around, which, I guess, makes me not be around more.. And that's so unfair to you."
Joe is an extraordinary handyman and soon becomes Kate Baker's boyfriend. When Joe came to the Baker's house to fix a door, Amanda Bailey tried to make Joe stay at Kate's house longer by breaking more things for him to fix, in hope that he would spend more time with Kate and become her boyfriend. Joe is kind and caring, He gets on well with Ryan Baker, Kate's son. He is a very competitive person and is very good at his job. Joe is only seen in [S1: E16] But he will have a bigger role in Part 2 of the series.

Nurse. Chris is a Nurse at Summersville children's hospital, he cares for those who are in the cancer ward. He is scared of Lexi's mother and often avoids her or runs away, he is caring and kind and a little awkward. He appears in [S1: E8, S1: E12] He will appear in Part 2.

Nurse. Lauren is a nurse at Summersville children's hospital, she works on the cancer ward. She is often the victim of Lexi's pranks, one being the blue dye in the soap dispenser. She is strict and a little scary, she doesn't take easy to jokes. She is kind and caring deep down and cares for Lexi and can understand her mother, Amanda's worries.

(Out of scene, mad) "Are you kidding me! Who put dye in the soap dispenser?! (She sees Lexi) ... Lexi.. There are so many reasons why Iโm glad your treatments are nearly over."
She is a coach in Oakland High, She is sarcastic and strict, she tells Lexi that she "Likes to get kids' hopes up and then knock them down." She doesn't take any messing around within her basketball team.

A film and light geek in the schools play. He is in charge of the lighting of the show, He takes his job very seriously when Lexi is told to help him, he doesnโt let her touch anything as he hopes there is film scouts in the audience.

"You let me drink too much soda. Total rookie mistake. You can make up for it by getting us snacks from backstage. Got to keep fueling the Garth-mobile."
A student who worked in the school play. Because she lost the lead role to Riley, Rose is often passive aggressive towards her. [S1: EP6, S1: E7]

Mrs. Rogers is the film teacher, she deals with the school plays. She is an extra and minor character only appearing in School Play episodes. [S1: E6], [S1:E7]

"[MS. ROGERS GASPS] Wait. I have the perfect job! She'll be able to sit the whole time, and it will be under the tutelage of one the most dynamic members of our team."
"(Excited Tone) Thirty seconds! Thirty seconds!"

Just extras whenever I need someone in the background or a character that is only seen once in a while! :) Extras are used quite a lot in my series so I'll be accepting a lot of people for this role incase of needing you! You can audition for another character and this one!
