Introduction
Hi there, I’m looking to get some Bioshock fan audio recordings to go along with a fan series fall: "Rapture Falls" (Very creative I know).
The recordings will be short in length and few in number.
As this is a non for profit fan story I can’t offer much in the way of money to the voice actors but I wanted to give something to compensate for your time and efforts. Anywhere between $5-10 depending on how many recordings and how much time they come out to.
I am hoping to start a patreon for this but if that fails I will pay you out of pocket for your roles.

Information about the story:
Most recordings will not strictly be following the fan story as it goes but many will link back to it in some way or another.
In summary, Atlas has woken up in a vita-chamber post the first game events (prompt supplied by Gruvu) and is thrust into the events of the second game. From there he struggles with memory loss and seeing ghosts from the past.
Many of these ghosts are OC and Canon characters mixed together so in accordance with that, there will be canon and OC roles available to audition for.

There’s very few requirements for these roles so here’s the list:
A fair to good quality microphone. A lot of the audio will be edited to sound like the audio diaries from the game, but a base quality is still required.
Appropriate accent or age. If you can fake an accent that’s fine of course!
Clear and timely correspondence. If I can’t get ahold of you for days or weeks on end it’ll cause the story uploads to suffer.
Able to use Google Drive for script and audio transfers.
You are able to apply for as many roles as you like though if you have a preference please do state it at the beginning of your audition.
Be aware that some roles will be long lasting as the story develops.
Not compulsory, but it’s nice if you know Bioshock. I highly recommend it as a game! :>
Similarly it is not required to read the series these audio diaries are a part of but it is also recommended.

Jaclyn Wayne is the alias for a woman named Jackie who fills the role of being Fontaine's older sister in this AU. Though that's not a fact they admit to down in Rapture. She is a cruel woman that delights in grifts and generally getting her way. She holds a great disdain for Rapture and becoming increasingly irate with living there while absolutely loathing Andrew Ryan. In part because she is hopelessly infatuated with his woman, Jasmine Jolene. She is less interested in Fontaine's con in regards to Rapture, but indulges him all the same. And is an accomplished actor, she likes to deceive people and charm them into doing things for her. Though her fuse is fairly short and leads to moments of explosive anger.
Throughout her story she softens with the birth of her child though she never quite becomes a good person or redeems herself.
This role is ever evolving with audio diaries being added as the story progresses so any interested VA's will have to be willing to be a long term VA.
She is from Boston and has a mocking way of speaking.
Dramatically playing up her exasperation: "Ya couldn't have just put a bullet in the poor blighter's head. Oh no, no, not my brother. My brother had to be a showman."
Fond and teasing: "And now, well you know me, Eddie dearest - never one to turn down a gift me. But I have to ask what possessed you to buy it. Does seeing a deadly weapon tend to just scream a lady's daydream to you?"
A touch tipsy and livid: "That lil' shit thinks he's king o' the damn world. Well he ain't, not yet anyway, not even close. But of course that don't stop him do it? Thinks he can order me around, what I do for him I do because I love his stupid, sorry ass. Not because he's the one in charge."
Tenebaum was a woman of science from the day she could comprehend the word. She was one of the strongest personalities in Rapture and is responsible for creating the life's blood of the city - ADAM. Though she came to regret her actions and try to atone for her sins. She has returned to Rapture to seek out the little sisters stolen from the surface.
She is a fiercely protective and determined woman. Steely and cold outwardly though she show moments of compassion at times. Mostly for the little sisters she attempts to help. She has no love for the city, nor for the figures that helped to run it into the ground and hopes it will be buried with time.

Careful: "A misunderstanding. And you…you do not recall how you came to be…deceased?"
Cautionary: "Herr Delta, something is not right. We can hear many voices outside the train car, but...but we see no one. Und the music grows louder...can you hear it?"
Explanatory: “Your body shows no sign of outward decay, from what little I can gather through simple examination - your internals seem to be much the same. The ADAM in your body requires the fuel of EVE to maintain its structure while in active use, yes. But without it the ADAM appears to lay dormant rather than seek out other sources of energy and cannibalising the body.”
Eddie is not a man of many words. Rough around the edges and a working class man thoroughly fucked over by Ryan. He is the sort to get attached and become loyal over time to a select few. He doesn’t trust easy and has a good head on his shoulders. He started out in Rapture as a worker at Fontaine Fisheries and tactfully ignored the illegal dealings going on with the smugglers as long as he could but eventually got pulled into it. Only to pass into the personal employment of Jaclyn Wayne where he remained. Loyal even once joining Atlas's revolutionaries, always returning to his boss and eventual friend. Edmund is protective by nature.
Eddies accent is up for discussion. I have no set accent in mind for him. He is calm and passive typically. Though he is quite easy to irritate or fluster.
Irritated: "You know I aint got no eye or time for art. And, shockingly I'm still on the clock. I'll meet the pair o' you after I wrap up here for the day?"
Smug and light hearted: "Thought you'd fancy something without the Sinclair logo slapped on it."
Neutral: "Not today, ma'am. Haven't seen hide nor hair of the man this week."
Fontaine's right hand man. Reggie is not the brightest, but he's an effective as a hulking bodyguard who enjoys a goof grift. Loyal to a fault. Reggie has spent a majority of Jackie and Frank’s lives by their side. He is a brute that enjoys a touch of violence and is a man of simple tastes. Though he is quite delicate with women - perhaps a touch intimidated by them.
His accent is up for debate. American in origin he has a slow, deep was of speaking. Liberties can be taken with how you think he would sound.
Confident and proud: "Nuthin' I can't handle, ma'am."
Pleading, trying to pacify Jackie: "He jus' wants to impress ya, ma'am. I’m sure. Won’t be forever, I swear it. The boss'll come around. Jus' wait an' see."
Angry and eager for some revenge: “Yeah boss. One of the boys already grabbed 'im by the time I arrived. Got 'im downstairs. Didn't think it right to bring the worm anywhere near 'ere."
A blonde beauty and a complete airhead. Jolene is an easily excitable woman with a tendency to ramble. She is sweet and a touch naive, easy to take advantage of and highly impressionable. She is hopelessly in love with Andrew Ryan and is his lover on the side. She delights in having close friends and gaining the attention and admiration of the people who come to watch her preform.

Wistful, lovestruck and happy. : "He's a real sweetheart that one. All gentle with me for such a powerful man! Imagine it, being the gal of a man like Andrew Ryan…"
Breaking into a conversation with rapid chatting: “—and Anna is such a sweetheart, isn’t she just? Oh! And look at your hair, it’s so soft. Is it naturally blonde? Ah, wait no don’t tell me. Every woman’s hair colour is natural isn’t it?”
Longing for a nice place above the filth of Rapture: "Ain't no fault of yours, Jackie. I thought by now I'd already have myself a swanky apartment up in the Heights. Not that I don't make an alright living with what Cohen gives me. It's just…it ain't easy."
Warren is a happy go lucky sort. He is a bit gullible but is always happy to lend a helping hand to a friend. He enjoys his work in part because he enjoys talking to people and working for Sinclair Solutions is primarily talking to people. Figuring out what customers want and think to better advertise to them. He is a bleeding heart that doesn't belong in a place like Rapture.
Warren is Australian and thus has an Australian accent.
Friendly but professional: "As a matter of fact, Mr. Sinclair asked me to do a little digging for him. But he's never been strict about how I go about that. So I reckon I will be joining you for a spiel, mate."
Friendly and eager: "Please, please. Just Warren is fine. I'm not actually here on business today."
Quiet and relieved: "Never thought I'd see the day a charity popped up in Rapture. Well as much as I hate to say it…this is a touch comforting. Knowing that there's actually a place for kids to go if things go south."
An inquisitive mind and a soft soul. Lewis came to Rapture wanting to follow his scientific career. He tends to get lost in his head and comes across as dazed most days. He is clever but struggles to express his thoughts and is terribly socially crippled. He is Walter's younger brother and greatly admires his older brother.
Like Walter, Lewis is intended to be English or perhaps have another European accent. An argument can be made if you believe there is a better accent.
Quiet: "Rapture might not be built for it…but I don't think there's anything wrong with a touch of altruism."
Excited and proud: "Wally is doing great! Have you seen his newest work? The Artist's Struggle is displaying it."
Unintentionally offensive. Delivered quietly: "That's just how it works. I can explain it to you if you want but I don't think you would understand it."

A little sister rescued by Delta and Atlas. Beatrice is a determine child that worries about others. She is curious and generally pretty steadfast. She tries to put on a brave face for others and puffs up her chest even when she's terrified. But she is only a child and can be scared easily. She does not like to be called by her full name because it is not cute.
Beatrice has a french accent and a soft voice.
Huffy "My name. It's Bea. So you don't have to keep calling me kid."
Angry: "You never listen to me! Just because I'm small and you're not! I'm not stupid!"
Excited: "You're back! You're back! I was worried. I'm happy you're home."

Atlas is a fake Irishman and a canon character from the first Bioshock game as a leading character. He is the main character from this fan story.
Due to his circumstances he is angry, exhausted, often childish and even more often greatly confused as his memory is frequently failing him. He is raked with guilt and is prone to lashing out as well as being incredibly petty and mocking at times.
This role is ever evolving with audio diaries being added as the story progresses so any interested VA's will have to be willing to be a long term VA.

Anger and Exhaustion: “Bloody...Fucking...Rapture!"
Exasperated and mocking: "Oh my lord jesus almighty. Do all you wacko intellectual types wax poetic day in and out? Ryan was just as bad, but at least he made some sense here and there."
Gentle and quiet, talking to a child: "I don't know, darlin' But we'll be back just as soon as we're able, yeah? Just be good till then."
Augusts is a well known businessman with underhanded tactics and few morals to hinder his progress.
Throughout the course of this story he slowly develops and conscience and a guilt problem. He grows increasingly close to his companions and could be considered a somewhat good person at times. He loses none of his smug snarky charm however.

He is from Panama but that wasn’t an option in accents

Friendly and teasing: "Thought it was impossible when I heard you were kicking the drink and smokes. Thought you had to be barking mad but then I remembered exactly who I was pondering. So way I see it, unless the whole city wants to sink when your cravings start kicking up, I ought to get you a little something to take the edge off."
Relishing the explanation and amused: “Dionysus Park. The place used to be the private playground o' one Ava-Marie Tate. Ava was Rapture's mad queen o' the silver screen. Woman had an antique carousel smuggled down here from her hometown... just to tell the world that 'nobody says no to Ava. Her annual masked ball...(Chuckles) Let's just say she made the guests sign a waiver.”
Quiet resentment: “Consider it a favour for old times sake. I believe you owe me plenty after all the lives you lost. And yet here you are. Alive above it all. Now I do wonder how you managed that? Oh, yes. That's right. Because you're standing on every other dead man's shoulders."
The notorious con man and ruthless business man of Rapture. The biggest thorn in Andrew Ryan's side and a certified monster the longer he spent in Rapture.
Frank Fontaine through this story appears as an antagonise. He is furious at his circumstanced and viciously pushes down any shred of regret he might experience. Pretending he is above feelings all together. Mocking and fairly dramatic, Fontaine likes all attention to be on him and feels proudest when he is successfully deceiving someone.

Mocking and arrogant: "These sad saps. They come to Rapture thinking they're gonna be captains of industry, but they all forget that somebody's gotta scrub the toilets. What an angle they gave me... Jovial, light hearted: "I have some dignity, sis. Not gunna become one of those rotting old fools clinging to every last strand of hair. Besides, don't it look rather fetching?"
Furious: "What the bloody fucking hell were you thinkin? Sending away the kraut!? Walkin' out of here harping on about the mother's choice and shit. You broads suddenly thick as thieves, huh?"
A stubborn, sturdy woman with a stern hold on her beliefs and morals. Prefers hard work and actions over words. Valery is a soft soul despite her hardened exterior.
She opened up an arms dealership in Rapture with the soul purpose of providing better home security and began giving higher discounts to the impoverished in Rapture. She holds a dislike for the big wigs of Rapture and does not trust easy.
His accent is up for discussion, my intention for her is that she has a strong Southern Accent and a coarse way of speaking.
Irritated: "Look, ya can't just waltz into my place of business and try ta buy me out with a load of horseshit promises. Now you turn your butt around and march right back out before I test my newest line o' pistols on ya."
Resigned: “Way I see it, the more Rapture goes to hell the more us folk are gonna suffer for it. Now I ain’t exactly swimmin’ in cash. But I’ll do what I can to see to it people that need their protection damn well get it.”
Coaxing a scared child: “Come ‘ere, darlin’. Not gonna let anyone else hurt ya, yeah? You have ma’ word on that.”
Madame M is a highly renowned fashion designer in Europe that brought her talents to Rapture in a heartbeat. She has a flare for life and a love of all things beautiful. She is eager to bring joy to those who wear her clothes and is in a loving relationship with her assistant Marianne. She is prone to ego but does not enjoy knocking people down or relishing in others misfortune. She believes the ugliest thing someone can wear is a poor attitude and lack of grace.
Madame M is french and her accent is strong.
Dismissive and then reverent: “Everything was dashing back then. A city of gold and riches. It only took a week in London before I realised it was a sham. Fool me once… The streets of Paris were not enough, London a dreadful mistake. Now I come to Rapture and, oh, how gorgeous it is."
Rough, urgent in a moment of desperation: “Spectaculaire(french). Marianna. Go to the bunker. Now. I’ll set the security here...quickly now!...Quickly.”
Insulted and furious: "You think you have the right to wear brocade of the pinnacle house (very high pitched) of fashion! You deserve nothing but canvas and cheesecloth. To dare bring your rally and anger into my boudoir, may your socks always be odd!”
A very tired, cynical, upperclass artist who seems to hate artists as much as the next layman. He is sharp as a tack and about as cuddly as one too. He tends to scorn most everyone and has a strong distaste for Cohen's brand of art in particular. He has no love of Rapture and paints the surface frequently - getting under Ryan's skin. He came to Rapture because his younger brother was deadset on the idea and regrets that decision immensely. He has a soft spot for children though he'd never admit it and similarly admires people he considered to be stupid but happy. He is very firm in his sensibilities and is easily offended.
His accent is up for discussion, my intention for him is that he has an english or other European accent.
Insulted: “Calls himself an Artiste of the highest caliber. Now I say, all that loon does is cover rotting bodies in paper mache and call it his latest vision. Ryan damn the artists. Never should have let them in in the first place. Their nothing but murders and worse still! Poor artists."
Exasperated and annoyed: “Honestly now, Johnny. Can you not sit still for more than five seconds? You’d think you actually had somewhere to be with how fidgety you are.”
Fond and quiet: “Whatever am I to do with you...you’ll cause me to go grey with stress one of these days.”
A queen of the silver screen, Ava Tate was a self absorbed woman bored of the world and everything in it. Always chasing after a new high when the last one lost its appeal. She's materialistic, cruel and mocking. She is fairly unhinged and desperate though she hides it under pride and confidence. She has a dramatic flare.
Ava is from Québec in Canada. Has a lyrical lofty voice as a singer.
Elated and cruel: "Oh, darling. What a show! Do you not enjoy my happy hunting ground, voice of the people?"
A mocking coo: "Looks like you're running a little thin there. You took my lovely EDEN, but you're a starving man, aren't you? Not something that can be sated without a hit of the real stuff. Isn't that so, darling?"
Enraged: "You wretch! You liar! You two-timing little-! Y-You….you faker! You don't even exist!"
Madame M's giddy little assistant and long time lover. Marianne came down to Rapture with Madam M to pursue their relationship away from the distaste of the surface world.
I encourage any unusual accent ideas for Marianne. the only requirement is that she be friendly and bubbly.
Eager: "Ma'am, yes, ma'am! You can count on me alright!"
Dreamy: "Madam M is the best designer on the ocean floor. I stand by it. Everything she makes is beautiful. But her face alone puts all else to shame...oh! Did I...did I say that outloud?"
Protective: "Don't you threaten my boss! I'll wipe the damn floor with you! No one gets to threaten my gal."
