In a post-post-apocalypse city of Rivergreen, two teenagers go on a simple fetch quest for magical sugar pearls. But the easy job turns deadly as they face a remnant of the apocalypse: the Red Haze.
Tony is a young, half-fish half-human teen with the energy of a wet Golden Retriever, whose greatest dream is to be an Adventurer — but his track record proves otherwise. So he takes a job order from his best friend's family restaurant: retrieve sugar pearls from the lake two cities over. Bet, the said best friend (an overworked and constantly deadpan young bat-dog person) accompanies him to make sure he doesn’t die. And also so she can take a break from work. The two commute through the post-post-apocalypse: enjoying the ferry ride, seeing homes built out of ruins, waving hello to other fantastical creatures; until they come across the Red Haze. A fog that rolls in like a storm, turning every organic material it touches into stone. The two face danger, with Tony desperate to do a job well done and Bet highly preferring they get home alive, even if they have to fight the monster lurking in the haze.
Looking for:
Voice actors (the two protagonists and one minor role are Filipino, so Filipino speakers are prioritized! The rest of the cast can be any accent / ethnicity.)
Concept Artists - Designers of props and background characters. The world has humans and humanoid people.
3D Background Artists - The film is in 2.5D and I need someone to make relatively low poly models and able to set them. No need to paint them as the 2D department will take over that! All I ask are the object files and the skins mapped for easy painting.
Storyboard Artists
This project is mostly voluntary and unpaid. EXCEPT FOR THE VOICE ACTORS I WILL BE PAYING YOU UPON DELIVERY!! The current goal is to make a polished animatic. Future animation plans will have a separate casting call.

My name is Winkfred, call me Wink, and yes - I'm trying to do my own animated film :> I have experience making a short animated film from the ground up, so hopefully that translates well into directing people and making my silly blorbos and their world come to life. I say film for now, because I know the headache of making a series so I'm aiming for a goal of a one-time thing, short 20-22 minute long animation. If it all goes well, then hey! Slay! ## So why just Bet and Tony and not the other characters?
Because Bet and Tony are the main characters so I’m very particular in looking for VAs for them! And the submissions so far for the other characters ARE SUPERB. There are so many that I wanna shortlist because their submissions fit so well with only written directions as guide! I don’t think they’re gonna need further assistance.
Also last week I got super fucking busy job hunting that I couldn’t really spare time doing more storyboards lmao.
I plan on *shortlisting* VAs next week, *October 1*. Then I’ll start actually casting roles at *October 7*. Hopefully a majority of the characters would have VAs by then. I can’t say when recordings can start, because I’m ✨job hunting✨. I won’t let the cast wait until the end of the year to get started lol 😭
